The good thing about KD and Klay is that they are not late in their careers right now, they are still pretty young compared to some of the other big injuries like theirs and that is why there is a chance they can find a way to recover with time
In a way, Kahwi made a good example of how serious injuries should be treated. They should follow his advise, "come back when you feel healthy". Kahwi has been ridiculed before and look where he is now after taking full time to recover.
Right advice for the superstars but they have their ego and has a choice not to listen. However, the finals has ended and there's more time for them to rest and recover.
The injuries of these superstars will soon regain back their health and ready to take off for the upcoming season.

But, Toronto management saw how he plays. If they can somehow pay as much as any other team can offer then they might get Kawhi again.

They really should and do anything to make him stay. I miss the closed competition in the East. Kawhi and Toronto Raptors brings it back.

Hope their championship lineup will remain next season.

Depends on the impact of the injury. Even how young players are, if the injury is critical, then it can really affect their overall performance once they recovered even how long the recovery period is.

The best example is Derrick Rose. Another one, DeMarcus Cousins.

With the first three picks seems locked and secured all teams are inquiring the availabiloty of the 4th pick which is supposed to be Darius Garland. New Orleans are more likely to give it away for anyone who will offer up the best veteran player in exchange for it. I don't know who or for what team it will be traded for but as Woj said it will be a busy draft night for the teams and fans since every pick, 4th and onwards are all made available by the teams who are not satisfied to what player is available in their turn.

Yeah. That is what I dont understand by now. They just lose Anthony Davis, they will need a new forward and Zion is the answer. But they want to trade it instantly after drafting him.

Is the Pelicans management brewing something? If they are also trying to make a superteam with cheap payments then it might work.
Although, they still need chemistry. It will be whack if they will just make something out of new players in one team for just months of training.

He will be offered with the biggest salary in the league so he will stay, I think Toronto can give that since they really appreciate this achievement the team have made last season. Maybe let's look on the other teams and forget about Toronto for awhile as surely they'll be intact for the next season.

Yeah, I agree, the same with GSW.

Speaking of GSW, I think this is really their worse season starting when they won the championship in 2015. 2 players injured and some of them have minor injuries. As far as I know, KD will stay but his injury is serious, I hope he can play in the next season with the same performance. Lakers trading Ingram, Ball and Hart for AD, isn't that risky for them?

KD injuries is really serious so we can only hope that he can be back with the same bounce and confidence. But I wouldn't be surprised if it will take some time before we can finally see him at his peak again.

Yes, I think this is one of their worst specially going into the finals, their star players got injured and there is no room for error specially if you are in the NBA finals, too bad for them.

I think when KD is back, he will still be fit but the bounce and his agility will be minimized since his injury is very serious that he will stop playing for one year or more if it gets aggravated. Now, the future of the GSW rely on how well they manage their line up without KD to be back to the finals next season.

So there is what we call psychological or mental barrier that KD might encounter once he is back in the game. So it will be really difficult for him at the beginning as he might tend to think about his injury. But he is still in his peak and at his prime. For sure he will learn how to adjust and the team as well. The 3 peat was almost there, but it was not meant to be.

A player leaving the team after a winning season? Is this common in the NBA? I reckon the Raptors will give Kawhi a big bonus and a big increase to the money the pay him to keep him.

Toronto Raptors will surely offer a luring contract.

However, we all know that Kawhi did not really prefer joining the Raptors prior to the season. He just wants to get out from the vicinity of San Antonio Spurs so any 1-year deal with any teams will do. Now that he worked together with the Raptors especially they got the Larry O' Brien trophy, we don't know if something changes his mind along the way.

One of the things that needs consideration is also his business startegist.
Yes, his Uncle. Uncle Dennis Robertson.
Kawhi just want to play ball. He enjoys it. About whatever team he gets into, he doesnt care. As long as he is making money while enjoying the game.
This is also why we cannot see some previews into where Kawhi will be the next year.
But, Toronto management saw how he plays. If they can somehow pay as much as any other team can offer then they might get Kawhi again.

Most of the superstars that came back from injury, they weren't the person that we knew.

Their performance changes, their endurance and everything. It's true that his agility and other attributes will be changed to minimize because he has to protect himself. The team is no longer in the hands of KD but to the team as a whole.

No one would expect that it will happen, it's just unfortunate that it's one of the big reason why they did not get a 3 peat.  Leonard was also not fully healthy, in fact his minutes is very limited and have had a lot of rest days during the regular season and that's one of the reasons why they also did not finish in the no. 1 in the east, but that was a good decision as they did well in the post season.

I'd love to bet in the NBA futures again, and I think Lakers has a shot of winning, I won't bet I guess on the Raptors as I believe there will be no repeat, also the odds would not be attractive anymore.

Does NBA futures pick already out now? Didn't check it yet.

How sure you are the Raptors won't have an attractive odds? We are talking about speculating next champs here so surely Raptors will have an attractive odds. And trade deadline is way long over so definitely it will be changed prior 2019-20 NBA season. Way more realistic to expect a decent odds for Raps compare to Golden State Warriors honestly.

Who do you think will be favored to win the Championship next season?

That is really hard to predict right now. Teams are still trying to get good players on their teams, superstars free agencies have not yet landed on a team and the draft pick is not yet through. We can only make a good prediction once all the roosters are complete.

True, we'll have a better idea when all trades are over.

But if I have to choose at this point, the Bucks should be a decent pick. Rockets would have been a good choice also if only Harden and Paul did not have a feud.

Not until they will change to a team play, the last season when they reach the West NBA finals, they still could not beat the Warriors, so I guess there will be no improvement if we will still witness the same rooster of this team. They need harden to calm down a bit, because if they will remain a one man game, it will still be the same ending they have 2 seasons ago, or even worse, I would go with them if AD landed on them, but since it's on the Lakers already, no chance for them.

Then, it's exciting to see Toronto Raptors vs Golden State Warriors w/out injured players game on next season. Some Golden State Warriors fans here are still can't move on after Toronto Raptors won the championship.

Also for Kawhi Leonard, I don't think that money still matters for him, Kawhi Leonard is still young and he's not really into money unlike the other one goat from Los Angeles Lakers.
Nah Kawhi is kinda loyal if it wasn't because of misunderstanding in Spurs, Kawhi is probably still there. His aim is to become one of the greatest NBA player of all time. So Kawhi will probably stay at Raptors, as if Raptors will gave up this guy, the reason why they made up to NBA Finals and got a ring.

It is too early to predict that now since we have no solid information about the trades and the teams in the next season.

Kawhi got his 2nd MVP and that is great since it proves how great he is, another thing is the trades which Kawhi is also included but I don't think he will be leaving TR that easily after this win. Also, as far as I know, he already told the press what is his plan for this next season. There is no way that TR will just let their MVP leave like that.
