The Greek Freak mad again an amazing performance in the Bucks win against Mavericks. Antetokounmpo played like the real MVP of the team and his stats were very very impressive. I think that after Mirotic signing, the Bucks can now challenge the NBA title. After all this amazing performance that Giannis has done this season, he deserves a ring.

I agree. His name should be in the contention for this year's MVP. The scary part is that he is not even at his prime yet, but he has done so far that he could be a candidate for the MVP. I even read some article that even the great Dirk is impressed with Giannis transformation.

I'm sure they will be the top seed in the East, so it's going to be compelling how he is going to perform come playoff time.
He really needs his team to bring to the next level if he wanted to win a MVP. Yes, he is doing a lot for his team but the measurement of a true MVP is bring or helping his team win play-off and go to the finals. So we will see if he can do that this season before we can have his name in the discussions for future greatness.

For me, he's now the new Lebron James in the EAST. This man is better than Lebron James for me. Also, he is averaging 20+ ppg in three consecutive seasons. I won't be surprised if this man can have a ring as soon as possible and win an MVP multiple time like Lebron James.

He needs to continue playing like this, He's a good contender for m as well,  they are dominating the east though the tough competitors like  raptors, sixers and celtics are still present and also have gunners that can also be deserving but this Bucks are making their own show to rise.

It's too early to conclude but Giannis and the rest of his teams will make their own story inside this league that's something to be watch for.

Anthony Davis got booed on his first game back. League apparently forced Pelicans to play him at least 25 minutes per game, I don't know how a league can force something like that. He wants to not play in that team, team learnt about that and they do not want to make him play and we got ourselves 25 minutes per game AD because league wants more viewers and the fact that AD not playing would make Pelicans not get too many viewers whereas keep playing him 25 minutes would result with more views so they force the team to play him. Why would it be their right to force such a rule if both sides agree on not playing. I hope AD will fake an injury like back spasm or something and sit out the whole year even tough he is healthy. Kinda like what Kawhi did on his last year with Spurs.

Well probably they should've bitten the last offer of the lakers with their young core plus rondo and beasley when they had the chance. Ad said he wanted to be traded anyways. Too greedy, the pels may have let slip a core that could go far in a year or two.
Agree, the Pels got too greedy on this one and it might backfire on them. As they said that they can't sit AD for the remainder of the season and they might improve their win-loss record that might compromise their chance of getting the top of the draft pick. I just don't know what the Pel's front office approach on this AD's trade request.

Ya, Pelicans should have taken the Lakers offer.  I doubt they will get anything close to that offer in the offseason.  Davis has made it clear he only wants to go to a few pre selected steams.

A lot of teams tank to get better draft picks but they do it sneakily buy resting players certain games.  The NBA can't really fine them because it is difficult to prove.

New Orleans has announced that Anthony Davis wouldn't sit the rest of the season, he'll keep playing.

We should add that if Pels were to sit him out without a reason, meaning injury, they were threatened by the league with 100k dollar fines per game.
They have also been threatened with losing draft picks, but this information is unconfirmed.

He played only 25 minutes last night. Honestly, I don't expect New Orleans to let him go for more minutes. I can see him not play in back to back games too ("load management").  Grin

New Orleans has announced that Anthony Davis wouldn't sit the rest of the season, he'll keep playing.

-snip-

Yesterday, they beat another good team which is the Boston Celtics so they really have the talent, people are just underestimating them.
People tend to underestimate them because they (me as well) see that their overall performance was poor compare to other teams. Although it is understandable because Lakers' roster mainly composed of young players, but still, you can't take it as an excuse. If you from the very beginning thst your team is lack of ace players then at least compensate especially in team chemistry.

Their win against Boston definitely gave them hope and composure to continue fighting but the question is how long they can maontain it? The palyoffs is approaching, they should now fix everything before it's too late.

Damn 76ers is so strong now and they did not even practice with Tobias Harris and Boban Marjanovic.
It looked like they almost have their chemistry already even with the new addition.

Defeated one of the strongest in the West which is Denver Nuggets. Although it almost taken away when the Nuggets are giving their all taking the lead back and forth at 4th quarter.
Again Jokic with his triple double of the game but fell short to win.
Simmons assist, Harris with his post up game, Embiid focusing on defense with his 3 blocks and Redick just got back from illness have donated 34 points to give 76ers a win.

This will be a scary team since now they can make space for their big man to post up while scaring away a double team since Harris can shoot 3 and so is Butler and of course Redick.

That Lakers-Celtics game was amazing and props to Rondo for making that game winning shot against his old team.  Maybe this will help the chemistry issues for the Lakers since the trade deadline has already pass.  Some players on the team will probably still hold resentment towards Lebron since he tried to get them traded.
We can't discount that possibility. Maybe some of them really hate Lebron now, but I'm sure that they will realised that it's all business and most of these young prospects will mature and understand everything in the end. They have to work hard now since they lost the 8th spot already. So they need to climb and at least target the last spot for the playoff.

if Lakers can't get AD in their team then this might be the first time that Lebron won't be going to the Finals since 8 years. Lakers need this guy badly if they want to get in the playoff list. They are having a hard time and seems Lebron performance is way better when he is in the  Cavs. Would love to watch a GSW vs LAL in playoffs.
When he got traded in the Lakers, I already predicted that his Final streak will be over and it will be. If you will see, the Lakers are not in the top 8 of the conference anymore. These young players who doesn't have any experience will affect Lebron. Yeah they got some veteran players but they are not helping Lebron that much. They need to wait for AD to become a Free Agent to get him.

We can't conclude yet, they beat the depending champion once during the regular season so I guess they have a slight chance.

As long as they continue to improve and Lebron plays what the coach design for him, they will make a good chemistry and they can win games.

I agree, I still think that Bucks is underrated by bookies and lest they forgot Bucks has one of the most dynamic talent in the NBA right, Giannis Antetokounmpo who is still not hitting his prime and yet is playing like a NBA MVP.
This guy has been underrated but most of us knew it on how he plays well and they shouldn't treat him as someone that they can underestimate. I think he's going to his prime but he has need to gain more experience.

Yep, he is really underrated maybe because he is playing with a team that the media is not focusing at the moment, they would rather watch Lebron or GSW or Harden.

He is slowly getting the experience and he is improving every year and carrying this team to where they at right now. Experience will come and we just wish him that he wouldn't get any injuries or something so that we can watch more exciting basketball from him.
Well it's the reality that he doesn't get too much attention and he's young enough for these covers. But this kid really has the potential to become one of the legends in the future, only time will come when he has gained reputation and more achievements in the future.

I think last year or two years ago I said that this kid will get the attention because of his talent and now it's starting to become real. We do see him play hard and his improvement is too quick from most expectations.

Brandom Ingram surely feels saved of criticism because of his "solo" play during the last run. Might be a selfish play to looked by others but I think he gambled on it since time is running out.

Celtics defense were so tight that LeBron and others didn't find a good look. That's a full court press. That triggered Ingram to go on a push (didn't knowing Rondo was open or he saw him but decided to go on a rim) and take the last shot but unfortunately his move is quiet predictable so Horford blocked it. Tyson Chandler got a collision on Morris resulting for the ball to go away and grab by Rondo for a winning shot.

Overall the game was good. I feel Boston Celtics will dominated the whole game as they able to pinned down Lakers in an 18 point big lead. It's just that Lakers get back on rhythm and managed to get the lead closed down before the half.

Lebrons team on all-star is by far the better team, its heavily one sided and I think its not going to be even close. Considering Kerr will not be coaching the Giannis team Steph curry will not be able to even play his game and since its all star the bigger chance nobody will be playing their game. Lebron is smart getting Durant twice in a row and I think he will get this years all star game as well. Giannis is young and its amazing for bucks to just have a player that is so young and so superstar potential.

Look at him when he was drafted and even a year before that, dude looked nothing like this and nobody would have guessed he had this kind of potential, not even bucks could possibly know he would be THIS good, they probably expected something good but not at this level. Now he is the team captain of a whole conference on all-star, really big accomplishment.
