It is starting to get a bit scary for Spurs. I mean Lakers is doing great and Lebron has managed to find his "not working too hard to save some energy but also manage to impact the game somehow" system at shooting threes a lot more than he is used to and he hits them too!

But even with that Lakers are still not a great team considering the side picks for Lebron is not that much greater than any other teams normal roster. Take Lebron out and Lakers is just a regular team.

Spurs are going 11-14 right now and that is not really acceptable for spurs way of winning. There was no time in history Spurs have ever been under .500 for this long (in the past 3 decades, the last time they did they drafted Tim Duncan). There must be some thing that could be really helped and improved to change the team otherwise its going to hurt for them.

Just sharing this.

I just saw a facebook post (can't remember that page) that says Lebron has no chance on the west.

Then it showed Lakers and GSW's current standings.

GSW = 15-9
LAL = 14-9

I saw that post days ago.

As I remember, it's a counter meme against those people who says that LeBron doesn't have a chance in the West finals that's why they compared the standings of GSW and LAL. Non sense because the basis is totally a crap. If I will take that literally, people must not focus on Golden State Warriors as the only contender in the West.
Yeah that post was for those people that hate LBJ too much.

I still can't remember that page until now but that really aims to target those people that doubted LBJ's jump to the Western Conference.
West are compose of stronger teams now compared to the East but as of the record today, Lebron has proven that he can compete in the playoff race.
Currently standing at no. 6 in the west and has a good overall record although not impressive compared the Nuggets and OKC but the race has just started, there will be possible trades in the future that will help strengthen the Lakers, imagine how strong Lakers will be with AD on board.

What's make it more interesting in the West is that the leading those are totally unexpected. Who would have thought that Nuggets, OKC or even Clipper will be the top 3 and GSW will be 4th and Houston is nowhere in the top ten and others have doubted Lebron can bring the Lakers in the playoffs and yet they are in the middle of the pack?
That's how it goes yet Basketball would really be just like a ball itself. We wouldn't know on whose gonna be on the top or on the middle or bottom. Most people
expect more to those who do have good players than on other and same as yours I'm quite shocked on what I do see on the current stats.
Either the reason that those team behind just don't get serious or just letting their standing be like that.

Timberwolves had the biggest win this season so far by defeating the Houston Rockets and overcoming the 19 point gap showed a great performance from the team overall. They have shown terrible offense and defense in the first half but luckily the Rockets started missing some buckets and they slowly took the lead in the 3rd quarter. Harden also got pissed (which probably messed up his game) that he ain't getting any trips to the free throw line every time he tried to pick up some fouls. RoCo was a great motivator to the game and I am seeing that he has replaced Jimmy as the leader of the pack.

Quick Notes
  • Chris Paul only made 5 pts (including 2 FTM)
  • Rose scored nothing (4 FGA)
  • All the Wolves' starter scored double digits (Yes including Wiggins)

I watched some high lights of the game and it looks like the Timberwolves has played perfectly against Houston. Yes they were down but suddenly they played good defence and shot 3's to closed the gap in the 3rd quarter and never look back. Although Houston attempted to come back and cut the lead to single digits if I'm not mistaken, Wolves able to hold that rally and then took Houston out for good.

Nah! It's just 1 win though and all I think is will they be able to get to the playoffs. I am not belittling the wolves but I guess it's too early to celebrate and what I have observed is that the rockets are not giving their A-game in these one.

Yeah and something is cooking behind that Rockets team.
Arent you seeing a next Phoenix Suns like team?
Capella is gaining speed. His transitions are getting more fast and I think it is like the Amare Stoudamire of the past Phoenix Suns.

Mike D'Antoni is really something else. If he gets this successful then he might pull the string for the championship.
The huge difference is it wont be like Steve Nash cause he have a good back up when Harden is at rest which is Chris Paul.

The wingmen though must also perform well specially Gordon.

Timberwolves must make their chemistry better. The addition of Saric and Covington gives them a huge impact and they must be used more. If I remember correctly it is their 2nd unit which took that 19 point lead back against Houston.

Anyone here would be interested by tips on NBA produced by deep learning analysis of the last 25000 matches?

Was thinking about opening a service with a monthly fee (about 10 mBTC) guaranteed, which means that if at the end of the month the picks weren't profitable, I repay everyone their registration fee.

So that no one feels like getting ripped by a false vip registration like it happens.

Jokic has been playing like a potential MVP candidate for the future, I doubt he will be capable of that this year but he is still young and can improve so much. He literally managed to bring the point center thing back to NBA, before him the last person like that was Pau Gasol and he was more Power Forward than a Center in his career except the few last seasons.

I think if he keeps this up with another team he could be a vital piece for a championship team but in Denver he will be a big fish in a small pond type deal and MVP is not given to the best player of a 7th seed type deal, it is usually given to people that are in first 3 seeds and best player of the team. Except when it is finals mvp which was given to someone like IGGY over Curry which still looks like a really screwed up thing and a joke than reality.

Let us pray he will not be damaged by an injury like what mostly happens to stars.
They became prone to injuries once their potential is being seen. Maybe it is because they are being fatigued by a lot of practice since they really want the goal of an MVP.
Or it could be a mental war which makes their body weaker in stress.

He is a great player. Looking forward for him to take new record breaking stats which looks like he can.

Good thing Denver Nuggets offer a maximum contract to him because I see that he will be the face of the franchise in the future. Im following Jokic (and Kristap Porzingis) since last year because his play is somehow identical to Dirk Nowitzki although much more of aggressive. And this season, he got lots of attention especially when he achieved the record of having a triple double with 30+ points "without missing a field goal". That was difficult to achieved.

And recently, just posted again another triple double against the dominant Raptors and able to snatched a win. That game finished in a closed score.

Those people who said he has no chance are simply haters who want to see the guy fail. They'll always try to find something to throw against lebron regardless of how far he's come and how far he can take his new team.
Yeah they want to see Lebron fail, there's too much hate for this man.

Well that might be a page for a Lebron hater. Grin
This is definitely a kind of page that is bias. I would unfollow that if I were you. You wont learn anything from it.

It doesnt go the way it is as always even if you are at the number 1 rank.
I remember Memphis taking down Spurs. SAS at 1 against the number 8 Grizzlies.
As long as they get in the playoffs every team can have a chance for that trophy.
Never underestimate the power of will to win when it is the playoffs. Besides, they are all NBA players. They wont be there if they are not good.

Spurs finally broke the losing streak and won. They really needed to get Aldridge into play for it but Blazers defense was so horrible I can't believe how they started out 10-3 this season. Spurs shot about 200%, they literally made 2 baskets each single shot, lol. West is looking a bit confusing right now, there are teams that started better than their actual self, there are teams that started worse than what they really were (warriors lost as much right now as they did in 73 win run already and its only December).

I think west will change a whole lot before season ends. East is officially already done, its going to be bucks-celtics-sixers-raptors in the semi finals and will decide between them who will be the finalist. Whole season is for nothing and they can just cut to conference semi finals.

Lebron is having one of his best three point seasons of all his career, not only he is shooting well as a percentage but also he is shooting a lot of threes. I know dude really takes care of himself and his body in order to play for a long time and all of his 2003 draft mates are getting older and getting cut from the teams while he is still standing as the best player in the league but changing your game after so many years must be really difficult. Only a person like Lebron can achieve it. Dude came into the league as an explosive guy who could dunk anytime he wants and improved himself incredibly well first into post up game and now into his threes as well. When you are a threat like that it becomes harder to defend you and as a marvelous passer he uses that much better now as well. I can't believe how anyone can hate Lebron.

Lebron will hold up like Jordan or Karl Malone and still being averaging 20 ppg at 40 years old.  I still think people calling Lebron the greatest of all time is ridiculous though.  Michael Jordan was leaps and bounds ahead of James and didn't fold under pressure like the "King".

This argument is long running now and I don't think we need to compare them. They have the time difference that makes it harder, in terms of the time, Michael won the comparison as he is defending with great players, Lebron James won the post season accomplishments, so where will we based the "GOAT", I don't know, people has their own explanation to it. If you want to read a good comparison, here's one. https://sportsworld.nbcsports.com/michael-jordan-vs-lebron-james/

Why is it so important for people to whom will be the Greatest of all time.
I say they are both good at their own. Speed and skills are almost the same but they have different kind of plays.
Jordan is more of style while doing his dunks and layups and Lebron showing his strength dunking the ball.

Points are almost the same and also the assist. I say they are both great. No questions about thay. Jordan have haters too and so is Lebron and it is glued when you became a star. They look at your weak points more than your strengths.

It will be great though if Lebron could take the Most Defensive Player award. Grin It will mean a lot to his critics.

Really hard to compare them as they both played in different era's. They have both their strengths and weaknesses. I guess we can go argue all day here, so I would agree that we don't need to make another discussions and let's see if Lebron can bring this Lakers team to the finals and win one before he retires.  Grin
