Annoying "fans" are talking about the poor performance of LeBron James of Los Angeles Lakers and Gordon Hayward of Boston Celtics.

Those "fans" really need some basketball education lol. Why expecting too much for some of the players in the pre-season? Pre-season games are designed to test the waters especially for the team that composed of new players so that when official season starts, somehow there's already a build up chemistry.

No need to force to win every pre-season games as everyone's target must remained healthy once season starts.

Those fans are probably trolling, lol. I'm sure that they know that pre-season has no bearing whatsoever, sort of just shaking the cobwebs of every player and bad games doesn't mean that it will go on til the start of the NBA season. So I'm not surprised about those criticising both James and Hayward pre-season performance.

Obviously trolling or they are just expecting too much from those players. But of course superstars should not play their A game in a pre-season match to avoid an unnecessary injuries.

I think they are just starting to heat things up since it is just the Pre Season. Pre Season will not be counted until the Regular Season starts next next  week on October 16, 2018.

I don't know why people are making a big stuff or predictions about the Pre Season but it is just the pre season. It don't count, instead of being disappointed in the results of the first games, we shuold be really hyped in the start of the regular season.
They are newbie in sports, they make comparison in a non bearing games, preseason is where there is no defense and all we see is mostly highlights.
Lebron is better in Regular season because he knows how important a single win for the Lakers in order for them to qualify in the playoffs.

LOL, I didn't even know that there are people who judge anything based on the pre-season performance.
That's the reality and this isn't only happening to NBA. To every sport there are people like this who are judging the pre-season and becomes a sports analyst after watching 2-3 games.

I think this happens every year.
They are just more agitated now since it is Lebron who left Cavaliers and then a sudden move to the Lakers.
Seriously, it is expected to happen. Same goes when he left Cavs too for Miami. This is the same reaction from the people.
Trying to take him down because he aint loyal to one team.

That is comedy on the highest level. Grin
Same goes for KD after he pushed himself to GSW for those championships.

I have watched the hawks game and trae seemed like his passing is his best skill.
I was able to just catch the first quarter, i didn't see anything different from the summer league. He is definitely a great passer and as of now inconsistent shot maker, although shooting 3s is probably why Hawks drafted (swapped picks with Mavs) him. Welp, he will get a lot of playing time for a rookie, i can clearly see Hawks tanking this year; which probably isn't a bad thing considering next year's top draft prospects: Zion and R.J.Barrett.

By the way, tonight on TNT CLE v BOS ECF rematch...sorta, interesting to watch Cavs without Bron. Are we going to see the Kevin Love from the Minnesota days now that he will be the primary option on offense?

Speaking of TNT, i'm not sure if you guys heard but Ernie Johnson has been diagnosed with blood clots. I wish him a speedy recovery.

I think his shooting will be inconsistent and shooting like curry is not always a great idea, he shot some insane shots in college but if you check his latest stats he was missing most of them even tho he had some 40+ point games he had many sub 30% 3pt% games as well.

Even if he is not shooting amazingly (which he might in the future) he definitely has a great passing vision and he can see where his teammates are. I have seen couple amazing passes from him and great assists as well. If he keeps this up he can be a true floor general one day. Collins was great as always of course.

Haha forget about them. Notice also those "fans" that are coming out during the semi's - finals.

They are much excited than us who are looking at the changes and set of games. Also they probably don't know what pre-season really is so they are commenting about Lebron that way.

I think they are trolling like others are saying. They know already how the pre season works. Maybe they just want to have a better entertainment I think. They paid just to see their favorite player but its sad that their player didn't played that well.

The warriors loss today, I think this season is the only chance for their rivals to win because they are not doing it seriously.
The Champs are playing at their home court but they did not put much effort to beat the Wolves in the 2nd half, yet still an entertaining game.
"Seriously"? What do you mean by that I have seen the game and I didn't see neither side sleeping on defense even in the final seconds of the game. Take note that Jimmy Butler didn't play for the Timberwolves during that game and they actually have played the two rookies they have. The Warriors had obviously took the lead early on but if you notice the Timberwolves clawed their way back up to take the lead. Call it whatever you like they still played like professional out their and it didn't feel like they didn't took the game seriously.

..only the warriors are the team that improves their line up..

Hmm there are lots of teams who improved their lineups this offseason. Los Angeles Lakers is one of the good example. Others are Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, Memphis Grizzlies, Oklahoma City Thunder (because Melo wasn't there now lol*).

The question is, how good are those improved lineups and if they can meet the expectations.

The first thing I realized about spurs is that derozan seems like he knows what he is doing and passes to right teammates.

They did some practice before pre-season that's why he's now used to Pop's system and now applying on the current pre-season game.

But again, like you said, pre-season games can't really tell what will be the behaviour of a certain player once season starts.

~snipped~

Some fans are really toxic. Smiley

Grin They might be more excited than the players to play the season.

Same goes for social media. They are the one's who are reporting this kind of news and already basing one player with his pre-season game.
It is funny for me but I do ignore this kind of BS.

If they are soft in the season well pre-season is a marshmallow.  Grin Nice strategy by NBA though making the fans go thru madness so that they will participate in the upcoming games.

The first thing I realized about spurs is that derozan seems like he knows what he is doing and passes to right teammates.

Getting to know your teammates and knowing how they play and what they like and what type of scorers they are is a great knowledge. For example, lamarcus is a guy who needs to ball at first quarter to get hot, if you start giving him the ball at third quarter you are going to have a trouble because he will miss, you gotta give him couple shots early in the game.

Derozan just needs to fix his defense which looked alright today but its preseason. He did not tire himself on defense because he had to give his 100% on offense in toronto but spurs is a system ball so he can try at defense too, which I think will make his defense so much more better.

The preseason has officially started.
Good game between the Boston Celtics and the Charlotte Hornets, the Celtics were dominating the Hornets in the 1st half but the Hornets came strong int he 2nd half and win the game, another unpredictable game where underdog win through rally.
Yeah the score ended 104 - 97 in favor of Charlotte Hornets.

A good start for them, how quick time is. Last time we are talking about the past seasons and now we're on the new one.

Yes, its the start of a new season again. There have been much discussions about players moving around and now pre-season has started. Its gonna be interesting to see those players who have been traded this season and gauge them how well they mature and blend with their current teams. I'm really looking for Lebron wearing the gold/yellow and purple jersey.  Grin
Well this is the start of  the exciting part where we'll see on how would they really react to their new homes.

Mark your calendars on Oct 17 the real games starts.
I am very excited, it's another season and I hope we will be seeing new superstars that will give additional excitement to the game.
There are a lot of changes this season, only the warriors are the team that improves their line up, I like to see other teams compete with them.

I don't know if it just pre-season and teams are trying out new lineups/rotations but Toronto yesterday started with only one big man, Ibaka at the 5. Vavalanciunas came off the bench. I was wondering whether this will be in fact their starting 5 at the beginning of the new season. They could potentially match up well with Boston as they start with one big man too and a couple versatile wings. Going small has been a trend the last couple of years. Seems like more and more teams prefer to spread the floor with shooters.
