If I'm not mistaken the MVP is being voted by NBA media, so it's varies what criteria they are looking for. (Kindly correct me If I'm wrong).

We will know who will be the MVP once this will be announce, but I was amaze about James Harden's PPG which is 36.3, that is very high.

And then there are also good arguments in that link above. So up to this, point its really hard to decide who will win this year's MVP and it is very close. One thing that favored Giannis though, if we are going to look at the last 15 MVP's, 10 came from a team with the best regular record.
I can say based on the above statistics, it's very clear that Harden has an edge and could win the MVP competition this season.
