Those numbers just goes to show us how big the disparity between the Warriors and the other teams are. Even the Eastern Conference defending champs are not even close. And the uncertainty regarding Isaiah Thomas’ hip injury could play a role on whether they Cavs can stay on top of the East. Back in the West, the Rockets and the Thunder might have made some upgrades but their lineups are still no match against the reigning defending champs.

Odds given above is not a reference where we can say that a team is no match to the defending champ. It was based on sportsbook main sources which some of the factor is popularity. But literally, we can really say that there is no team yet who can match the Warriors but who knows? There are some high caliber players today that will hit free agency next season so we can expect that there will be a big change in some of the teams that can match the deadly Warriors.

I will not give a hint since Im just playing with the rumors. But those high calibers players Im talking about that will hit free agency next season will surely give an impact to the team they will landed. Stay tuned. Smiley

I don't know where the odds came from but from the disparity, its unfair for the rest of team to give them odds against the Golden State Warriors. A lot of teams have upgraded their roster to challenge the defending champs so for me those odds should not be gauge as a good one since we haven't started the season yet. Just like they say, the ball is round and we don't know what will happen in the next seconds or so. All teams will be looking to challenge Golden State so that odd should change once we see specially those team that upgraded, can match against them.

Again GSW will be favorite, so I hope they lose just like 2016

Golden State Warriors still has a strong roster after getting KD on their roster. But just like the same I don't want them to see nailing the championship again.

I'm a fan of Lebron and I'm still seeing him to be one of the best player in the league and though they released Irving in their team.

Possible that these two teams will face again.

Pretty interesting odds to win the NBA championship.
Warriors 1.58
Cavs      6.25
Celtics    8.5
Rockets  9.5
Spurs     13
Thunder  31

Still thinking that the Thunder are going to be underrated, they are going to be a surprise in the Western Conference.
I like the spurs on the betting odds above, they are improving and they are more matured, if I'm going to make a bet on NBA Futures I would not bet on the heavy favorites as I can bet them in the playoffs but with the great odds of Spurs and Thunder, I think it's worth making a shot.

They are underrated and though my choice isn't making a noise and not on the list, don't forget about Bucks.

I'm in with Goldenstate they show everytime why they are the champs

Not all the time you are always at the top of the ladder, you need to step down when you are tired of staying there or someone will replace you.

At first read I though "Again GSW will by me favorite" that's why Im confused with the comment. lol.

Since Irving is very hot topic in this thread, I suggest to create a poll just to let us know if what team has really benefit the trade.
Would it be the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Boston Celtics? Personally I don't hate Kyrie Irving but I would cast my vote for the cavaliers since they have 3 good players in exchange of Irving.

Not necessary. Since Kyrie Irving trade have reached the conclusion now, eventually the trend will not that active anymore and soon the discussion now will be, if Celtics will dominate once again the East.

Rumors: Lebron James To Spurs

Nothing wrong here and Spurs can matched the deadly Golden State Warriors. But since they are both in West, they will not be able to faced on NBA finals which is more intense than Western Conference Finals. Im disagree to those sayings that Lebron will have an easy way to the East. It's not Lebron's fault that he is strong. Teams on the East must advanced and don't just hide to that reasons.

Teams i'm most excited to watch this upcoming season.
Thunder: PG3 and the MVP will be a nasty duo.
Rockets: Harden and CP3 dishing out assists count me in.
Celtics: This team is gonna be scary on offense with Kyrie/Hayward/Morris/Horford just wondering how well their defense will be.
Timberwolves: Young and promising bunch of talent. Look for them to cause havoc in the west. Complete steal getting Jimmy Buckets
Nuggets: Jokic and Paul Millsap down low will be fun to watch. Jokic is more of a facilitator and Millsap is more of a scrapper so I think they will fit well. Surround them with shooters like Gary Harris and Jamal Murray and you got a scary team.

This is gonna be a fun season to watch.

I really like the Thunder giving a surprise in the Western Conference, PG13 and the MVP together are going to be a problem. Just like the Rockets, The beard + CP3 together is a letal combination.
And in the eastern conference the Celtics will fall in the finals againts Lebron, Kyrie will regret leaving them, and if the cavs manage to get Cousins like the rumors say then they are going to a huge issue for Golden State.

With Cousin's attitude? That's going to be a problem.

And no, Kyrie won't regret leaving them because he's a franchise player now.
for sure it will be a new home for kyrie and even things will be so hard for him to taste again the ring he will definitely choose that, because he wanted to be
the main man of his team, and for sure Celtics will give him some good commanding role. let see how kyrie will bring this semi finalist team to its new level.

I agree. And i think more will agree that boston sacrificed perhaps more than what's necessart just to acquire kyrie. Isaiah's gonna get better and the team along with him and we've all seen it last season. I don't think kyrie can take them to a better finish next season

We'll basing from Melo's performance in the recent seasons even if he joins LBJ they won't be as good. Melo can't even get to the highlights anymore these days.
Yeah, maybe when it comes to superstar status, he is way ahead of Irving but if you compared the play now, the chemistry on James, for me Irving is better. As you can see, he has been outshined by other younger superstar.

The major problem with Melo in Cavs would be the position. LeBron and Melo are both small forward players and it would be really awkward for either to swap out positions. With Kyrie, Cavs had a top notch point guard who could make plays with LeBron and rest of the team but with Melo's addition it would be harder and more pressure will be on both of them to deliver every game.

Or maybe Melo just need to in a good team that he is not the superstar before he can performed well? I think this career is in the downward right now. So it he really wants to earn a ring before going out, he should go to Cavaliers and team up with Lebron and make a last run on it. He will be a good addition to the team and could challenge Golden State again on the next NBA championship. But he needs to cut his pay if he is really interested to join the Cavs.

It's not about having highlights with his plays but Carmelo Anthony won't be too good of a fit on the team. What I am talking about is Anthony and Lebron has the same position which is small forward and I don't think that it will be a good idea for one of them to move up in a position which they are not comfortable with. Another thing to point out is Cavaliers already made a trade to ship out Kyrie Irving for Thomas, I don't think they have a trade asset to get Anthony to the Cavs.

In my own impression about Irving here I can say all of his playing strategies outraged even though those young player were doing great but the legacy has been a good path as the dedication did the best part of his entire career. That's now a certified superstar and with the next nba season more plays and good assist will be shown and let the court decide the reality comes, so keep your eyes on it and watch out for Irving's show on the game soon.
