See, this is what I mean by Kobe is overrated.  He should never ever be considered a top 10 player.  The guy is only considered good because he came in the league when Jordan's career was ending.  He is an average shooter who shoots a lot, a terrible clutch shooter, and overall doesn't help his team win games...why is he top 10?
Kobe is not overrated, he can win championship even without the help of a star player unlike James who joined wade to win championship.
Maybe you are just basing your opinion on his last few years in the NBA when he was not fully healthy anymore, when he was still young I love to watch him play with Gasol, Odom, and Fisher and this 3 are just an average player but they reach the NBA finals many times.

He deserved the credit, he was able to market the Lakers due to his popularity and one of the best player in the NBA, in terms of being clutch, I guess you cannot question him in that area.
After Jordan I agree that Kobe deserved the credit as he showed how superstar be like he wins the champions even without the super team type when he was with Shaq and the rest of Lakers super team era, though lebron is a pain in the ass but its just like Kobe and Jordan's transfer of stardom.
Both are good players but my basis on determining which is better is the one who were able to give his team a championship.
Obviously Kobe has more rings that Lebron so in overall it was Kobe who is better than Lebron but now that Lebron is still playing, he still have a chance to surpass the accomplishment of Kobe Bryant. Anyway, here's a good site that tells the comparison of the two
http://www.landofbasketball.com/player_comparison/kobe_bryant_vs_lebron_james.htm

The ring argument is the worst argument of all time.  Don't bring that here please.  Kobe has more rings because he has had shaq on his team(who was by far the better laker than Kobe). Look at Kobe's stats, they are just average, thats it.  He is still a good player, probably around 45th-50th overall in NBA History.  Lebron is probably a top 10 player, they aren't equal.

A really bad loss for the Minnesota Timberwolves today against the Golden State Warriors. Even if Kevin Durant was not on the team they still have loss to double digits with them. Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns really need to step up their defense as their matchup is getting easy buckets with them. They still have a lot to improve before the playoffs starts.

24 lead by the Golden State Warriors and that is something that we can expect from them. I don't feel a bad loss on that game, GSW has been playing well after having those losses and they don't want to be in that stage anymore. Boston is beating them when it comes to standing and they have to catch those guys up. I bet it that with the next game of Minnesota Timberwolves they can beat Suns or Jazz.

10 consecutive victories for Boston who holds the best record of the entire NBA at this time. Boston is a very balanced team with so many different player determinants in every match, + Irving as top player.
Boston, if Cleveland continues with its ups and downs, can win its conference.

5 consecutive victories for Golden State and first place in his conference. Again this year Golden State will win its conference without any problems,

I never knew about that record for "entire" record in NBA. Who's thinking here that Irving is the lucky charm of Cavaliers before? And now that luck was transferred to Boston Celtics. Chances of beating Cavaliers by any other team will lead Boston to the top and we might see Boston Vs. Golden State Warriors in the finals. But all teams have been playing their best and some performance aren't enough they have to focus with their training and learn from their losses.
I don't think it was about luck, Irving was an underrated player because of Lebron James and now that he is a in a good team he can now shine like what he wants to achieve. Celtics will continue to play hard and they want to be the number 1 team in the East so they can take a home court advantage when they will meet the cavaliers in the East finals. On the other hard, the cavaliers are still figuring out how to build the right chemistry for the team to play as one, their record is not showing well so they have to work hard for it.

Now that boston are getting better, I think it would give the cavaliers a hard time to dominate in the East.
Irving did really well and he is now the real leader of this team, the success of Boston now is good because it will give more confidence on the team and their experience really give them a help.

Yes I noticed it that Boston has really improved their playing strategies, well they don't be much confident with cavaliers because this team is still having good sportsmanship in terms of game play. That's good about Irving doing so well, and that's right being a leader he will show off his best team command as the actual game begins to beat on the playing court. Boston's confidence is the best assets for the team to win and I am also hopeful for them to give their best in the game for next team match, and it's really exciting for all of us.

Not sure how you mention Lebron joining Wade then say Kobe wins without stars.  His first 3 championships can be contributed to shaq, can't even argue that.  Then you mention he has gasol, odom, and fisher.  Lebron is way better than Kobe, not even close.

Why does he deserve credit?  He was a average shooter.  Never was he the best player in the NBA in all his seasons he played.  Yes, you can't question him being clutch because he is statistically one of the worst clutch shooters of all time.

I know this doesn't have too much to do with the current NBA season, but I want your opinion, I see so much talk regarding who is the GOAT of all time.  Now me personally I think MJ is easily the best of all time and its not even close.

People actually put Kobe on this list, I think Kobe is easily the most overrated player of all time.  I would probably put him in my top 50, but he is probably right around 50.

Thoughts on this anyone?

Im not interested in that topic honestly. The debate will never end because there is "love" "respect" and "hate".

Michael Jordan really a great player but he build his own legacy. Same with Kobe Bryant, Lebron James or who else will be put as candidate for Greatest Player of All-Time. We can't say who is the greatest as all preferred players have different nature around when they played. So I don't see why they are being compared.

yes, there are so many strong players who have played in different ages,
in a hypothetical top ten (in random order) I choose these epic players:
Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Shaquille O'Neal, Karl Malone, Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan.
Maybe my favorite is Michael Jordan

Cavaliers vs Hawks
FINAL (117-115)

LeBron James: 26 points, 13 assists, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks,
Dwyane Wade: 25 points, 11 rebounds , 6 assists, 1 block
Kyle Korver: 23 points, 5 rebounds, 1 block

What a very close game and Dwayne Wade this showcased himself but that's not enough as these poor guys lost to their home court. I can feel the pain every time watching a team losses with their opponents at their very own comfort. Too bad for them with the start of the season and this type of games are alarming since the beginning is already over and this is the real deal in the middle of the league.
They will eventually figure out how to be consistent, the only problem is the chemistry and once it's sorted out, the cavaliers will win every game.
Now that they have more loses they will surely analyze their mistakes and improve it the following games but for me as a bettor I would still not gonna bet on the cavaliers until such time I will see them back to the winning track again.

I guess the chemistry is the big problem of them now and it's between Wade and with other teammates but not with Lebron. It will be built later on so still they are on the process of still getting with each other or they are truly having difficulty with this season? It's a wake up call for a team when they are losing consecutively or if not they have higher percentage of lose rather than winning.

The missing link is the main point guard.

Yes, Isaiah Thomas must be the playmaker. Lebron James can adapt the position, no doubt about that since he entered the league, but doing that always will just give Lebron another tasks instead of focusing on his natural position where he can get more productions.

The progress for IT is closed to recovery now but just for sure, Cavaliers will not gamble his health just to save their record. Also, even they will still experienced lots of losses in their upcoming games, they just need to secure playoffs spot even at 8th position although I don't think that will happened. Cavaliers is different when playing at playoffs so even they will have a bad record today, it will be back 0-0 once playoffs started.

While it's still too early in the season to worry about it, at this point the Cavs front office should be considering of getting another legitimate backup playmaker. Wade isn't as good as he was like back then playing for Miami.

Lol. Another back up playmaker? As if their current playmakers aren't enough. Just wait for isaiah to recover and then lets see from there. As you've said, it's still too early in the season. It seems the celtics got the better end of the deal lol

 - When Lebron plays, plays Cleveland also.

I think the cavs are going to win it all even though they have been struggling lately i think their roster is the only one that can compete with the warriors speacially from a defensive point of view .

Versus Houston Rockets? Most of their matches are very close to their opponents and it's a tough game for them every single time that they have a match. Don't just stay with the Cavaliers, they are not the only that can beat and compete with Warriors. Every team has their own strength and flexibility, they might not win on some other teams but there will be time that they can beat everyone.

This is why Basketball is pretty much dead at the moment.  I personally am sick of these super teams and everyone else sucks.  It should not just be 2 teams in the game, I think the NBA has a huge problem if this continues.  I can't imagine they are doing good anywhere else besides the top teams as far as money earned is considered.
