Are the Minnesota timberwolves the next super team? I think so they are a good matchup versus the Warriors

No way are they a match for the golden state warriors. Well Minnesota needs to keep rebuilding for future laurels but currently the GSW and cavs are still in charge and it's going to be difficult to break their duopoly.
Hmm theres a good communication, bonding and training with the Golden State Warriors. And I doubt it that Minnesota Timberwolves are going to be the rival and goos opponent of GSW, Cavs is still the close rival of them. But still theres no sure roster and prediction if we still dont see plays this coming season.

More rumors about the Cavs still pursuing Paul George. This one involves a three team deal to Denver which would get Kevin Love. Kenneth Faried will also land at Cleveland. I'm not sure how that would work out but it's definitely very interesting for the Cavs if they can pull it off. As there are no more details I also don't understand what Indiana gets so I guess we'll have to wait and see. I very much doubt Jokic is involved.

Is paul george will really be a good addition to cavs? He is playing the same position as lebron most of the time but he can also be a sg. I just want to know what people think.

For me, if Paul George will adjust his usual role he is a good addition to Cleveland Cavaliers. Remember Dwayne Wade? He's the one who adjust on Lebron James' playing style back in Miami Heat's triumvirate that's why no such thing as selfish play most of the time and Spoelstra can rotate players freely.

Compare to Kevin Love, Paul George can be an all around player both defense and offense. What Cavaliers needs is to market some of their guard especially J.R Smith and enhanced their center lineup.
Right now there is no player that I see will fit the cavaliers, Paul George should be the man, he can compete with Lebron James but if they play together they should be a scary team. Well, they need to prepare for the warriors, they were beaten badly in the Finals and as a champion they have the pride to restore their dominance. I vote for Paul George in cavaliers, offense will improve more since he is also a good 3 point shooter.

Majority will love to see Paul George playing with Lebron. But isn't their roster will be on a hybrid? I think the chemistry for the current roster of Cavs is already good. Probably George can be a good addition for them as long as he can adjust since he is a versatile player. They will be able to make it again in the finals.

Love’s departure would also likely mean a drop-off in rebounding, and the Cavs would have to hope to improve enough in other areas that this wouldn’t matter. Paul George would make the Cavs way better at playing small, and he could help steady things and make plays while LeBron is on the bench. However, he would make it harder for the Cavs to play big and dominate the glass, and if their new small lineup proves to be not enough at they will only have Tristan Thompson to cover and protect the rim.

i don't think that is a great idea for the Cavs to trade Love they swept thru the Eastern conference with a strong team including Love. I believe it will disrupt chemistry if they make changes and dump the Love. We've seen it before in Lakerland. Chemistry is key. Best case scenario is like the warriors. All intact, and add Durant. But, just taking out Love, and adding George, may not be enough to overtake the chip. They've built strong ties with Love they need to find out a way to keep Love and bring George then they may have a shot at the title after that who knows maybe Lebron would decide to stay.

Yeah, Love is a key figure in their team. And letting him go will probably took a toll of them because Love loves to rebound and they will miss it a lot if he's gone. I think the best option is just add another 6th man that will really bring impact to the team. No need to change their core members.

Will this draft class really prove to be one of the best draft classes ever? Because when Jimmy Butler got traded to the Wolves they said that they had the best Draft Night who acquired both Jimmy Butler and the 16th Pick which they choose Justin Patton. I am just saying that the attention shifted more from the big trade rather than who is #1 or #2 or so on. Well I cannot judge yet until I see them all play in the regular season.

And i think this is the era of building super teams. Teams still want to trade superstars for them to win and i think that is just killing the joy of competitiveness. Teams need 3 stars but still cant manage so they would get one star. But i like that there are still teams hoping for a better place in the nba like the charlotte hornets. They acquired howard to help kimba and it was the decision of its owner Michael Jordan. I am more thrilled with trades like that rather than building superteams.
well its really a matter how the team managers and coaches deal with building its own version of a super team, like what we see with gsw curry thompson green and iggy was just a version of creativity of coach combining them with kd results to create a real super team, and its a matter of how the coach will manage and how the managers will allocate the funds.

Superteams are not good to watch, they can easily beat any opponent and that will not make a game worth to watch.
I miss the old era of basketball when practicalities do really, exist, now players only masters how to flop, even the superstar lebron.

I think Paul George can really improve this team because it seems the golden state warriors are miles ahead of the others and there's the need for them to build up a stronger team than they have capable of matching their arc rivals and I think Paul is a perfect inclusion.

Alright let's back to discussion people. Everything seems to be fine and hoping that no one will create a new thread for the discussion of NBA so that we can make this thread like the wall observer at the speculation section. I'm excited to see updates from every teams regarding their rosters and changes.

Well others just want to make an increase in their post count especially during finals when there are numerous NBA threads that is popped up although we can have a discussion right here directly at this thread.

Back to discussion, look like the player with boastful father is now favored in early prediction for who will bag next season's Rookie of the Year. Publicity makes them looks famous. I will follow this kid and sees if his fathers saying really authenticate as I watched some of kid's video at college basketball recently and the performance is kinda nice.

It will be a tough year for that kid because his father painted a target on the kid's back. Thrash talking nba superstar like lebron and saying that his kid will take the lakers into finals his first year, that's a very big word to say. Every superstar on nba will put a pressure on that kid.

I'm not into those type of players but I want to see if they will be consistent with their players. The father is not the kid and kid is not the father so they might have similarity but when it comes to playing for sure there will be a lot of differences. This year is really going to be a big blast and can't really wait for it.

Lots of young talent in this year's draft. Didn't expect the Celtics to be getting Tatum actually, their roster is pretty loaded already.

So much pressured will really be carry for that kid. He must prove that his boastful father is right. Too much publicity is given to them and now the result must seen effectively. If fails, expect that this kid will going nowhere.

Stills feel unreal that the Timberwolves have acquired Jimmy Butler by just offloading minor assets (well not really almost every Wolf Fan didn't like Zach Lavine was included) but really a top 15 Player in the League will now play for the Minnesota Timberwolves who still has Towns, Wiggins, Rubio, and Dieng, this would look scary even if they have not signed any free agents yet I am seeing them being a contender. And having news lately that they will spend big bucks in this free agency things are looking like they really want to win games.

Yeah, I agree with you. Even if they don't sign any agents, I expect them to run for at least playoff...
With some good free agents they can be very competitive team on West.

Playoff picture would depend on how fast they can gel with each other though i don't see any reason why the addition of butler can be a problem. The wolves has been thought as the future of the nba last season and i think it starts when the next season begins. And i think lavine still has a lot of potential and the bulls may be reaping a hood reward from this trade in a year or two.

Yes, you are right. The wolves were good team last season too, now with Butler they will be only better. Only problem could be his fitting in team, but, as you said, that shouldn't be a big problem... I expect them to reach Playoff with this team. Maybe if they sign some very good free agent, they might reach more than that.
About Lavine... I think he will show his full talent in couple next seasons.
