Pelicans @ Lakers:
Both teams are clearly bad and there is no way around it, but the Pelicans seem to keep looking for a rhythm this season. With the trades, the Pelicans can pick up their season at any moment and take the team to where it should be. Expect a great dueled game, as both teams have been scoring points often and allowing points even more often.

According to my calculations if Miami wins today(they will), then they will move to top8 for the first time in the season

They actually win easily because Lebron James and Kyrie Irving did not play, even if they lose this game, it's very clear this team will reach into playoffs. I believe with the way they show, they can compete with great teams in the NBA now, whiteside is a big factor to protect the rim and I think they will pass the first round in the playoffs if ever they will reach to that level.

I missed the 3 overtime wins that Detroit Piston has, so no top8 for Miami for now.But they will eventually get it, if they keep playing like this

I think Miami will make the playoffs but from what i heard no true Miami fans want Miami to make the playoffs because they will just get swept first round? If you're a Miami fan you might find this true

If this Miami squad makes the playoffs then there's no doubt about the weakness of the eastern conference, just taking a look at the top 10 positions is cringeworthy. Hopefully in the near future teams like the Bucks and 76ers develop into true powerhouses while Celtics, Raptors and Wizards continue to improve. Regarding the Cavs and Heat game, it was an expected result but the Cavs were not only missing Kyrie and Lebron but Love and JR Smith, arguably the four best players in the team, all starters. Bad day for the ones taking the risk and betting on the Cavs even with that in mind.

Either way I think Lue should've started Derrick Williams instead of James Jones for example or even Jefferson, sometimes I really don't get what he's trying to do...
I think he's got James Jones to start because he's a better player defensively and Derrick Williams would be much more effective while he's playing against 2nd unit of the Heat. The same goes with Jefferson, who would do much better job against the 2nd string of the Heat than against Whiteside, who would have nullified the Jefferson effect.

Well it certainly didn't work out that well haha. I think you are right that Derrick Williams is a much better player form the bench since he brings much more energy and drives to the basket/draws fouls. However he's an improvement in terms of rebounds and crashing the boards compared to James Jones. Jefferson it's also a very decent defender and gets plenty of rebounds. I mentioned this because Thompson alone was not a match for Whiteside.

Either way, I don't think the Cavs could've won this game with so many absences but with some tweaks they could've made it more competitive at least...they ended up losing by 30, I think that's just too much when you have Deron Williams, Korver, Shumpert, Frye and others in your roster.

Its funny because Cleaveland Cavaliers takes all NBA stars and still loss. I think new players can't easily adapt the program. Cleaveland i think is the most expensive team in NBA. I hope they manage to make it to the finals. So we can how this team can play in full potential. Cleaveland loss to Celtics and Chigago on their last games. I think these two teams deserve a shot to conference finals coz they manage to shut Cleaveland down.

Takes all NBA stars? Could you kindly drop their names here? Cool

And what do you mean about "expensive team"? Revenues? Profits? As far as my knowledge is concern, Cavaliers I doubt is on top 5.

Cleaveland loss to Celtics and Chigago on their last games. I think these two teams deserve a shot to conference finals coz they manage to shut Cleaveland down.

If the Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls deserve a shot at the conference finals then shut down Cleveland Cavaliers in the playoffs and not in the season. We can take season games as reference but season games are highly different at playoffs games.

Lost a good ticket because of San Antonio not be able to score more than 85 points in regulation time and only coming up with 97 points not reaching my over for 206.5 points.
Very disappointed with the no.2 team on the table right behind GSW. Cry

Well... they barely won the last few games either going into overtime or winning by a couple of points. I do think though that they will pass gsw now that kd is injured
I know. They managed to go into overtime but did couldn't even get over 100 each.
How pathetic. Roll Eyes
I was watching the game and Spurs couldn't even land any of there shots.
It was 2-18 shots for them at one time in the 3rd quarter how disappointing. Embarrassed

Whiteside really make a big impact and seeing them improving with the same coach that made this franchise be well known i guess if they advance to the first round they will be more eager to passed the second one. Its too early for that but hoping for the best coming from this team.
Their unselfish plays really make this team grow, I like to see them competing with the Raptors or the Boston Celtics in the first round because I believe that is a great test for them and they should prove they are an improve team. It's the same players and team but coach Eric made a good job to make his team a good competitor in the league, remember the time they had a good winning streak, that was really impressive.

Yes. This seems to be a good idea, pitting them against Boston Celtics in the
first round if they ever made it a 7th or 8th seed. I also like what coach Erick said

"It’s so much easier just to stay with what you know, stay with what you’re comfortable with and think that that’s enough,” Spoelstra said at the time. “To break through and improve you have to get into that discomfort zone".

He is building his team to accept role, accepts challenges and not worry
about position and embracing new horizons. And this team looks like
embracing challenges, so against a team like Raptors or Boston in first
round would be very interesting and just like what you said they want
to prove something.

Jazz @ Kings:
Tonight, expect the Kings to continue losing games and say goodbye to their season, as things are not looking well for the team. On the other hand, expect the Jazz to give a great game, as the strongest team takes on the tempo and the Jazz keep a very defensive game. Look for a low scoring affair and a Jazz victory over the Kings, where the defense and offense outplay them. i will take under 190.5 here.

Personally I think Cleveland are winning back to back. Especially with Kevin Durant being injured now it'll make it easier for western teams to defeat has. San Antonio is only 2.5 games behind and I believe that by April they will be first and ahead of gsw because of the KD injury

Well we can't be sure about that dude. The warriors have been to the finals two times without durant in their lineup. I don't think gsw is all about durant as there are more players who can pick up the weight durant left. I think they are still on top of the west here though from the start of the season i didn't really expect they'd replicate what they did last year
But they are not the same team when they acquired KD and release plenty of good players. They need Durant for both defense and especially offense. See what happen without Durant, they are exposed now and even team that are not so great like the Spurs and the Cavaliers, had beaten them already.
Honestly, I don't see them successful without KD back in line up.
Some adjustments is needed for the players to go back with their old plays before kd get inside their line up, they already a champion caliber team its just needed to make some good play again, and for sure those players like klay and step can figure it out. we will expect them to be more competitive with or without kd.

First of all, Cleveland's last two games have a difficulty level and temposu was quite high. The 2.5 handicap after this victory show that you should not trust Cleveland for this match. I do not know if it will be the player to listen at the minute I write this comment, but I think the Cleveland side will not be able to focus too much on the last game after the last game, and I expect Miami to start the game faster and concentrate.

Cleavland Cavaliers were playing without any of their star players. LeBron and Kyrie Irving out as they played long minutes yesterday(great decision to keep players healthy) and Keven Love is out due to injury. I dont think there's any team which can compete well without their star players or 3 crucial players. Given more time to Deron Williams, the game might have been slightly closer than what it was tonight.
