Preseason is over guys, I am now excited to see the formal opening of the regular season this October 25, 2016. Based on what I see, only the Dallas Mavericks out of the legitimate team in the west are not showing up, I hope they will in the regular season or if not, it will only proven that Dirk is too old and needs to retire, Warriors are the same team or a little better, they will dominate the west I guess.

Mavs is not always Dirk and I know they can still compete with the team on the West. Dirk is already an aged player but he doesn't need to force himself in every game since this is just a pre season game.

What I dislike on my fave team Mavs now is that they are lacking the center spot. Dirk is not a center but a power forward but since they are lacking of it, no choice but to handle the boards. But still Im looking on a good run on this team this upcoming season although Im not expecting a title contender. At least they should make again a playoffs appearance.
yes they need an additional player who can play for a center role so dirk can focus with his shooting and offensive threat.
it will be harder for them to compete this season as many trades happen but hopefully they show some rally too.

I think this is the last season of Dirk Nowitzki. The Mavericks cannot contend for the championship this season. I think they should rebuild now with the young core.
Yeah i agree that this year's mavs team doesn't have a legitimate chance of advancing deep in the playoffs right now. The dirk era is almost over and i agree with that the next couple of years we would see a rebuilding mavs team built on younger players. Wishing them luck thus season though, dirk is still one of my favorite players

Well pre-season games are often took as a practice game in which the coaches are testing various combination of line ups. I mean its not the Mavs fault as they added a lot of new faces in their team. Also it gives them a chance to have a feel in the team's chemistry. And I would not focus on winning pre-season games that much as coaches don't want to injure their players early on before the regular season even start.
You have a point there, but at least we were able to determine what team are a legitimate team to enter in the playoffs, in the west there are a lot of good teams and the Mavericks failed to enter in the playoffs last season and they do not add a player with a superstar capability so I guess it will be the same result in the past season, the Timberwolves would be a good team to watch now.

Time again for trade rumors.

Im watching these trade rumors right now and let's see what will happen:

LaMarcus Aldridge to Atlanta Hawks? (Looks like this time, we can't see a twin towers in San Antonio Spurs)
Paul Millsap to San Antonio Spurs?
DeMarcus Cousins to Golden State Warriors or Cleveland Cavaliers with Kevin Love, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green? Shocked

I posted here back then that Klay Thompson is always on the trade options. This is gonna be surprising.

Aldridge responds to trade rumors: “We made history last year. They incorporated me into the family and tried to make me one of the big pieces. I’m from Texas. I see my family. I’m winning. Of course, I’m happy. That’s why I don’t buy into the rumors.”

He gives us a hint there about the possible outcome.

For me this trade wont happen, the Aldridge and Millsap trade. Both players are great and equal, but it will not be good for both teams because they will adjust again. For the Spurs, they need win right now, they have no time to adjust because their main players are getting old.

If the management and the price is right, it will happen. We don't control the minds of the management since there are lots of factors why they are giving up even a key players. One good example is maximizing their salary cap so that they can able to sign other player that will really give bright future in the franchinse.

But hey we all don't know what will happen.
i think aldridge already state that he already enjoying his stay and he already proved that he can play with coach pop.
let see what will happen this season.
Maybe he likes his stay but he does not make the decision here, it is all about the money dude and spurs making the championship would mean money for them as that's what they are known for, the fact that they have been beaten by the Thunder last season, there could be a problem with the line up, and I believe the two tower in the addition of gasol does not help at all. They need Millsap to improve their line and compete with the warriors.

i agree with you mate aldridge already showed last year that he can be a good addition to spurs playing with the good coach and pau has been added no need for the spurs for another trade they already established what is needed for their team so moving on with this we will see much exciting play coming from spurs.

Sorry for my mistake as others mislead with the construction of post I posted.

It should be "DeMarcus Cousins to Golden State Warriors for Klay Thompson or Draymond Green or Cleveland Cavaliers for Kevin Love".

There is no direct trade rumors for CAVS to GSW or vice versa as far as my knowledge is concern.

Aldridge being traded would be a big mistake for the Spurs. I get that
he hasn't exactly panned out so far the way they wanted but now that
Duncan is done that frees up his shots/minutes and really gives Aldridge a
chance to come into his own. I didn't realize he was 31 though so he better
get going.

Im agree. With the absense of Duncan, they need some centers to fill up the position. No doubt that Aldrige and Pau Gasol are the only center in the whole roster that has ability to dominate the paint. Millsap is also a good addition in Spurs lineup but there are already lots of players in the Spurs roster that has same position with him.

57.6% of the NBA's GMs voted Minnesota as the most improved team in the NBA. Will the Timberwolves being the Most Improved Team be enough to make them a contender in the West or even be enough to make them in to the play off cut? I might say yes as they are a very good team even last year as they have defeated the likes of GSW and OKC with just youth. Now they have Thibs and Dunn hoping too see them win 45+ games this season.
Too early, to expect big for the Timberwolves, they are still a young squad and even if they have a good coach to take in charge, that does not guarantee that they will be a better team this season, the thunder without Durant is still a better team and we have seen how westbrook is making his presence felt, and of course the Portland is still a playoff contender, so with tough teams in the west, they will be having a hard time, not to mention the Jazz are more developed now.

I agree with it because the Minnesota is exciting to watch this season. Maybe they can make the playoffs. But one thing is sure they still have a lot to learn this season.

Where did these rumors come from? I highly doubt if the Warriors are going to give up two of their top players for a mere Kevin Love. This makes no sense for them because Kevin Love isn't a player that could fit right in their system and he isn't even an average defender. Tha L.A. - Millsap trade makes more sense as I'm reading that Aldridge did not turn out to be as good a fit as the Spurs had hoped for. But I think they should still give it a year to see how things really go now that T.D. is already retired.
In my point of view, Gasol is more fit for the Spurs as he is a team player, they need someone like Millsap who are strong in the inside and and can battle with big guys, the system of the hawks are merely like a system of the Spurs because coaches have both good experience in Spurs. I think they will LA to give more minutes on Gasol. They are slow if they will play together in the court.
