What a nice game by the Lakers against the best team now, warriors. I though they cannot compete with the warriors when they were down big in the half but they came roaring in the 2nd half although they still lose in the end, but honestly this is already a great improvement for the lakers this season.
at least showing some big heart and dedication to compete that's important with this team in no time they will mature it is just
needed for them to play as one and leave the individual capabilities but to make some good ball movements and play as a team.

Andrew Wiggins contributed well in the win against the Heat by Points which is 23. But I am concerned with his Rebounds and Assist per game which does not increase even though he is a 3rd year player. For his position he must be getting around 6 and 4 respectively but last night he only had 4 rebounds and 1 assist. I hope those numbers are just for preseason and he is not putting 100% of his work. Maybe in the regular season we will see a beat out of him.
It's hard to conclude yet as we are still in the pre season and that statistics has no relevance in the past, you do not know if they are just doing it for exhibition purposes, the real battle will be when the regular season formally opens, and I do not care about his stats as long as they will reach the playoffs this season.

I was so busy this past few months i know its too late but the first game of golden state was really a big slap on their face. How was the standing right now tho? Does the GS able to goes up?

NBA 2016-2017 Season hasn't started yet. The loss of Golden State Warriors is their first pre-season game. That isn't counted on regular standings.

The Cavs could have some struggles (again) this year because a lot of the other teams in the East improved their line ups, Atlanta got Howard, Celtics got Horford. Also, Cleveland doesn't seem to care much about the regular season because what matters to them is the 16 post season wins needed for another title. Would they be able to do that even if they did no major upgrade to their line up? Will Kevin Love's name appear in trade rumors again?

Well we have no accurate answer for that but one thing for sure CAVS will do their best like any other teams. And they care for the regular seasons since percentage is important for rankings to secure homecourt advantage.
Cavaliers lose today to the Toronto Raptors because they do not play Lebron James, I guess without Lebron James this team will not succeed, you guys should pray that Lebron James will stay healthy through out the season to see the cavaliers back in the Finals.

James is a big help for the CAVS but it doesn't mean that CAVS are nothing and a shit team if Lebron James will not play. There are games where CAVS got some winnings without Lebron on the floor.

It's a matter of gameplay. Yes it's hard without Lebron but basketball is 5v5.

Yeah. But let us admit that CAVS have been really powerful when James joined in.
He's averaging like 30 points per game. Can other CAVS players do that?
That's why we have something called "ACE" player or "Superstar".
Yeah the cavs can win without james considering gey also have pretty good players that are still young and dynamic. But if you ask me if they can win a championship without james, i don't think so. Not a fan of lebron but let's face it, put lebron on any team that has their own superstars and instantly that team becomes a contender. I don't like lebron but let's face the guy's special theres no denying that
Just be more realistic here, we know before Lebron James joined cavs is nothing even Kyrie is with them due to some injury problems of Kyrie as most of the time he carries his team, when bron arrived together with Love, they are also bringing in new players as lebron's order or whatsoever, they are a completely different team now.

JR Smith fit very well with Cleveland, in that Lebron has kept him in check and focused. So he's able to produce better there than if he was in another team.

JR smith making almost 15 million dollars a year!!! wow. I think every player
that's retired for more than 10 years is crying. To think major roll players in the
90's only made a million and this clown that just shoots only makes 15 million
a year. Maybe NBA should lower ticket prices instead of paying the players more
money.
He got an extremely good deal, I did not like his performance overall and I guess he is shooting too much 3 that slow down the team rhythm when he is not hitting them, interesting to watch how he perform with this sum of money for his deal.
Interesting off-season with KD being one of the most interesting deals IMO.

I think he fits with the team, he is not a star player and with the new salaries it's a fair deal for everyone involved. They could've paid him less I guess but Cleveland is in a good position right now because it secured all its stars before the new salary cap and now they are "cheap".

I also feel JR is still young, 30 years old is not old in basketball by any means and he's not a very athletic type of player so he won't suffer that much. I think he's a poor 's man Ray Allen, without clutch shot and leadership of course. But he can be lethal from the 3pt line and become a scoring machine when others are not having a good game. The season is very long and Cleveland definitely needs him.

The reason other teams don't offer him that much it is because he's a gamble and unpredictable. No team will commit to a guy who comes from being a champ and has dubious professional ethical behavior. He may bail on them. Cleveland took a gamble (a very cheap one) when he was in NY and it worked out perfectly, now it's time to reward him and keep him in check.

JR Smith was 6th-man of the year a few years back, he may not be at the superstar levels but he's good overall. Although sometimes, he can be very inconsistent.

This guy is so lucky to have receive a better salary, if I were not mistaken, I guess this would be his biggest salary in his NBA career so far. The cavaliers are complete again, and with I am seeing another championship for the cavaliers, I should be betting now in NBA Future.

The offer is really great for the likes of J.R Smith. There is no great offers that will come to him han . Despite of his performance and mid age level he able to get a good deal.

Cavaliers financial market is not that high so I don't know what thing does the management think to make such deal for an average player where they can shop for much better. Well maybe they don't want to wreck the championship roster.

That's the thing they might look at, JR Smith has made great contribution in the playoffs so I guess they have seen that. Alhough I am not quite contented with his performance in the last two finals, but still he made a good contribution in reaching the NBA Finals.

J.R. Smith is not great but a good player. I still don't think he is worth 15 million dollars a year.  LBJ's pressure on Cavs to take JR again helped to seal the deal. And of course Cavs wanted to retain their championship rooster.

I want to take bets on people rooting for Cavs.  Grin I still put GSW as the highest chance to bag the crown this coming NBA season. Cheesy

Memphis Grizzlies @ Houston Rockets it's hard to predict who will win since both team have different style, one rarely doing shots 3 numbers and the other one mostly do 3 point shoot. under -217.5

So this is it and finally settled. Jr Smith re-signed at Cleveland Cavaliers and we will expect to see him for more seasons with CAVS.

Lebron James and the gang are really happy with the announcement.

Cavaliers to re-sign J.R Smith with 4-year , $57 milion deal

Golden State Warriors @ Denver Nuggets GSW is the strongest team in recent years in the NBA and therefore I believe even if this is only preseason, but I am pretty sure they will win. GSW -6.5 and over 208.5 point.

What is the odds for that GSW -6.5? If reasonable then it's worth to bet.

And besides I was surprised with the points deduction given to GSW. Even it's pre season game GSW can surely cover the deduction.
Every game of the warriors whether they are in preseason or in regular season the odds would be like that, base on my analysis the line seems too low in the eyes of the public since I do believe the public loves the warriors as evidenced by their odds, this time I will fade them against a not so lousy team but a high scoring one.

If it is a sure win bet* then there is no point to skip that. Warriors is alwys the favourites and will remain to be so unless they have a fatal injury across all their star player then there is no way that their odds to win will be much higher. I doubt that it is going to happen anyway, even with some injury they will still stand at the top

* there is of course no sure win bet
