I'm really rooting for Russell and OKC this year.

Watching them eliminate Golden State would be historically epic and great.

KD might be a better player, but Russell have 10 times the heart and passion.

Also back then, there are lots of trade rumors which includes Russel Westbrook but rumors said he turned down all offers and decided to stay with OKC. No money involved, it's just that he really want to stay.

Hopefully all his teammates wil give all of their best not just Westbrook alone.

Thats good decision for him for staying in OKC maybe he want to test his teammates on how far they could go even no durant in their line up and i think they can be independent to their own since they have still potential rookie and talented roosters behind there backs so OKC will be still dangerous team in nba and theirs no doubt that they will compete the same among other team and i will trully believe that westbrook will do more hardwork to win for their team.
he can now rise up and add his popularity and lift the team in which way he wanted to achieve unlike when Durant are still there he can't manage since he needs to look for Durant to lead them.
I still believe that westbrook can lead the team in the playoffs, the team is very good in rebounding and defense as well. With him to fully take control of the game as the point guard that has a big responsibility in offense too, he cannot lose his rhythm as the ball will be with him most of the time.

2016 Warriors already had 5 postseason Losses before playing a single game v Cavs,

2016 warriors were one of the most flawed post-season teams in history and were blown out several times before even meeting Lebron. They were practically playing .500 ball before there top defensive player was suspended in an elimination game, -and rim protector was sidelined for the final two.

Well I suppose he wants other stars to team up with him, instead of him teaming up with the other stars. Seems to me he's aiming to get the alpha role for the Thunder.

How Will Westbrook & The Thunder Do This Year? Stat Predictions and Record?
I'm guessing 27 PPG on splits for Westbrook and a top 2 MVP finish. Thunder surprise people and take home 51 wins in a depleted west. Your thoughts?

No doubt westbrook will be MVP and scoring champ at the same time this season, without Durant, Westbrook can manage to have a triple double every game as he had previously done it in the past. Westbrook's athleticism is a gift for him something he can use to exploit his opponents.
if westbrook can get support coming from his teammates regarding to a good defense it will happen westbrook can carry the team in regarding to scoring dept but he needs more support for their defense area too, having that and a  good coach will make this for him, mvp is just there if he can make it to the play off.

Westbrook is all alone now in terms of leadership so somehow he can carry the will of his teammate. He can dictate their plays to be executed and I think this will be a good season again for the OKC even without KD's presence. Just a little revamp in all those remaining rumors on the floor.
and that's what he wants to take full control I think it will be a good season for him first harden now kd so it will be his own by now to take the lead and aim for the crown maybe to early but I guess we need to check it out.
I can't wait to watch their first game, I know westbrook will make his doubters believe in his upcoming performance. This guy was just underrated because the public think that he cannot carry OKC without durant, this will be a challenge to him and MVP loves to take challenges.

He carry his teams many times especially if Kevin Durant is off night. He is always there to support KD. And even with his hot hands in a particular game, he allows Durant to make the clutch shot in a close game even Durant was off night.

It was seen many times in their whole career game in OKC.

The big problem there is, does they have team chemistry in the court? We all know that they are great player but we all know also that cury, thompson,Durant and green use to handle the ball  and im wondering how could they execute perfectly with no score competition or ball jealousy on all of the said players, but well if thet really make sacrifice and purely share the ball and make it rotate until it reach to open man well theirs no doubt that they will be the most dangerous team in the history of NBA and provably they will beat their very own record last season on most win team.

That's why it's bad if you have all clutch players on the floor. If that is the case, Head Coach will be the one to mixed all possible chemistrys that compatible on the floor.

Kerr can test out first those three clutch for about 3-4 minutes then see how it will goes.

In case of durant he will surely try to score as he is once a star player in thunder. If they can execute properly this would be a great combo. I think that the management also accept durant was because he can be in the center which can make them a good scorer inside. So the tendency now is that gsw would fatal in the outside and inside shouting regardless of their defensive execution
He cannot be a center, he has the height but he does not have the body. He is just good in his current position as all he knows is just to shoot the ball well, it should be curry who should be taking the ball over and don't expect that durant will be the main man in warriors as it is still curry.
Why he want to see durant play in center as now he give the best form where he play now and in fact center position is not really important in basketball game if they have good shooter will easy to steal score if they have many good forwards.

He is no Lebron that's for sure, but I think he can play some few minutes at C, if there's a will there's a way...PF is much more suitable and doable for him though.
Durant has no physical strenght like lebron james so he is not an effective center, besides they already acquire Pachulia that would help then in the rebounding aspect of the game and this guy knows how to play hassle so Durant is not needed anymore in that matter.
Well, at this era only lebron james is the legitimate player who can do all the positions in the court effectively and we have witnessed that in the past  games. He has the strength to do the center position, and the good eye in the court which makes him a good player being a point guard.

Why compare durant to lebron? ,, he can be at thw center he doesn't the strength to be at the center? I don't think so. Well this is the way how i think. Curry is good yes but this is just a bonus for them because as you can see if one player in their line up is out. Curry do sometimes having a hard time

During a recent interview with Lebron James, he said that he is trying to chase a ghost who played in Chicago, which we all know is Michael Jordan. He is halfway there in terms of the number of rings, but has a long way to go towards being in the same level in terms of legacy. Kobe Bryant fell one ring below MJ's accomplishments although he surpassed MJ in the All Time scoring list, which Lebron would also accomplish barring any major injuries. Those two are the closest to matching Jordan's heroics.

No i dont think he can play the center position and i dont see him either play for it in thunder, durant dont have body strength since he has only thick body and im sure GSW will retain his position or he will use them as forward spot player and pretyy sure it will be since they have so many star guards, and also i think if the coach will gonna use them wisely and set up them with good and perfect execution plan i can say the champ is on their hands for sure.

He can play for center position but it's a mess if you will put that kind of player in the role of 4 and 5. He can do all roles but he is effective when he put on number 1,2 and 3 since this is his main territory.

He has the same position with Klay Thompson.

If Durant is so tired of being second his whole life, then why did he join the Warriors where he will be the second best player after Curry? 1 ring > 0 ring, 2 MVP > 1 MVP. Leader of the best regular season team in history > leader of a high potential team that consistently chokes . I seriously don't understand Durant's logic. If he really wants to be first then at least go to a team where he can be the best.

Maybe it's not his definition of being 2nd. He wan'ts to win or feel how to be a champion to be a complete player. Not having the best roster in the team for Durant made him lose many playoffs so he gotten to a new path with bigger chances.
