It's crazy how the Nuggets just refuse to lose on their home court, and their chemistry is on point again. They're still the team to beat, even though they're an underrated champion. And can we talk about Jokic? He's out there starting the season with a triple-double: 13 rebounds, 11 assists, and 29 points. What an MVP performance!

As we saw earlier, they still have the champion's aura in them and they won't just be easily beaten when they are completely healthy and have the current high chemistry they had when they won the championship. The Lakers can do nothing against their offense and this is the same for the other teams as well when they play against the Denver Nuggets this season.
The Nuggets really know how to share the ball. Their outside shooting was on fire, hitting 41%, while the Lakers were way off that mark. And let's be real, the Lakers' offense was a trainwreck. What's baffling is, they keep chucking those threes even though they're not exactly sharpshooters. They should be driving to the hoop, drawing fouls if the threes aren't dropping.

I wonder how will it be for the rest of the Western Conference team when they face them in the NBA playoffs because they are obviously not gonna break Nugget's wall unless they come up with some working tactics Against Jokic earlier this season.

It's still too early, I'm sure other teams are already making strategies to beat the Nuggets. The thing is, it's not just Jokic doing all the heavy lifting anymore. If they can somehow contain him, his buddies are ready to step up and make things happen.

I mean, look at this game, it's not just a one-man show. All the starters are hitting double digits, and even the bench players are chipping in. That's some impressive production right there.

1-Jokic 29
2- Gordon - 15
3- Porter Jr. - 12
4 - K. Caldwell-Pope - 20
5- Murray -21

First half ain’t looking so good for the Lakers. This is especially bad because in Denver opposing teams get tired fast so the Lakers have an uphill battle ahead of them. I think Anthony Davis is looking great on defense and LeBron looks pretty good, the rest of the team doesn’t seem to be playing very smart on offense though.

Too bad for the Lakers as they just being handed with another L against the Nuggets for 6 consecutive games, including the sweep in the playoffs. They had a strong early first quarter closing the gap to just 3 with the 13-0 run, but wasn't quite able to maintain the same level of energy when the Nuggets rallied back. It could have resulted in a different outcome if AD did not magically disappeared in the 2nd half. The guy did not score a single point.
LeBron still looking sharp, I though he could still play for another 2-3 years.

Unlucky for Phoenix that Beal is out, 1 head of the 3 headed offense monster out already.  Sad
That could be 2 out of 3 pretty soon. I don't mean out as injured or anything but Booker seems to be doing a lot of work in the first half alone and that could mean he'll be pretty much tired in the second half.

Warriors have a more balanced point distribution with a bench player leading the scoring. The starters will have more in the tank in the second half.

The Warriors seem to be struggling at the moment. It appears that CP3 might not be the best fit with the team. In his debut, he was shooting a dismal "0-6" from the field – that's zero field goals made. However, he's not entirely scoreless, as he managed to score 2 points from the free-throw line. It's been a tough first half for the home team. The big question is, can they make a comeback in the second half despite the significant deficit?

They did, Warriors outscored the Suns in the 3rd quarter alone by 21 points, this Warrior team is a 3rd quarter team and they live up at that name tonight.

It's a close game right now, with the Suns holding a slim 2-point lead after a strong start to the 4th quarter. At this point, they are playing on an even field, and this game has become quite unpredictable. Either team could emerge as the victor, but the Warriors have a good track record in the 4th quarter. In my opinion, they might have a better chance to secure their first win of the season.
Yeah, good recovery in the third quarter. They just came short in the last few minutes of the fourth quarter. CP3 missed a few much-needed 3's in the 4th quarter. The two free throws of Kuminga are also much needed; unfortunately, they didn't go through. As well as Thompson, it seems he can't find his rhythm in the 3-point line yet. He is 3-11 from the 3pt line, 4-14 for Curry, and 0-6 for CP3. Not the usual Warriors, but still a good match.

I think Denver takes this one by double digits.  Think it's also going to come in with a low score.  Something like 112-100.  I think the over under is around 228.  I can see the Lakers coming out of the gate slow.
Man you got some foresight hehe. The score gap and Lakers slow start was on point. Did you place a bet on that?

It's good to see the defending champs not showing any signs of rustiness. They look sharp and I also enjoy watching Jokic working his way inside against whoever. His moves aren't that "cool" to look at but they are effective.

Yeah the prediction was good but not that much of a surprise.
Denver was playing at home and the roster is just better than the Lakers's. Also Denver has Jokic and already in game 1 of the season he showed again that he will be in the MVP conversation.
Getting a high score was also kind of foreseeable since Lakers D is still weak in my opinion but both teams definitely know how to score.

Phoenix right now stated strong going up 24:12 and now it's 27:28, easy comeback for GSW. Unlucky for Phoenix that Beal is out, 1 head of the 3 headed offense monster out already.  Sad

NBA basketball is on TV tonight! It’s back baby!
I was so excited, but when I read the article about Bradley Beal (back) being unlikely to play in the opener against the Warriors, as per Shams, my excitement disappeared and turned into disappointment. This is so disappointing because some fans might say that if Bradley Beal had played, the Suns would have surely won in case the Warriors won. Since Bradley Beal will not play tonight, I'm going to pick the Warriors.

I’m not sure the Suns need Bradley Beal to beat the Warriors. However, I also don’t think the Suns have had enough time playing together to be able to beat a team with as much history playing together as Golden State. I really don’t know which way to bet this one, but I’m leaning towards the Suns. The Denver/LA matchup is another tricky one, but I’m leaning Denver.

I think Denver takes this one by double digits.  Think it's also going to come in with a low score.  Something like 112-100.  I think the over under is around 228.  I can see the Lakers coming out of the gate slow.  Lebron and crew get better as the year settles in.  Maybe I'm off but that's what I'm banking on.  Think the Suns game actually ends up being the game that comes down to the final minute.  Just hole we get some good games out of tonight.

They have a huge lead entering the 2nd quarter. It looks like the Lakers are still making some adjustments as they have a lot of new players in their roster trying to read the new plays. As usual Jokic started like just like year and with 10 points already.

Oh, that's too bad to hear that Beal is not going to play at the opener of this season. I guess everyone here is excited to see him with Phoenix and how he will blend with KD and Book. So we need to wait, and with that, I'm not surprised that the Warriors are favorite going into this game.

So Warriors -2.5 @1.88.

But when it comes to popularity, I don't think he'll surpass LeBron and other Hall of Famers.
I don't think he will last 10 years in the league to even be in the conversation of top players but maybe he could be as popular as Yao Ming. Remember him? I will consider Wemby as lucky if he could last more than 5 years playing the game competitively. He is quite agile for his size and aggressive as well so that may take a toll on his body sooner than he expects.
Yao Ming, yes. I will never forget that dude. The one who was blocked by Nate Robinson. Cheesy Just kidding. I do remember him being one of the best duo in the Houston Rockets with Tracy McGrady. He was there when Tracy made the 13 points come back in just 33 seconds.
But Yao lacks the inside power although I think the era that he entered is filled with inside players like Shaq. This time with Wemby there are not much centers who are playing defensively to act against him. If we name them, they can be counted on our hand fingers. Rudy, Ayton, Lopez, Jackson Jr. (ain't a center), and Claxton.

2 games later baby. Finally, the regular season tipoff.
Place your bets guys and share it on the other thread created by Sir @stadus. NBA betting. Will tail it if I find it interesting. Also, it's open to player props bets and bet builders. Good luck guys and enjoy the games.

One of the best blocks in history.  I mean not much significance but seeing Lil nate get up and mush Yao was amazing.  Probably because it was a dark time in knick Fandom amd little things like that stood out.  But seriously if no one has seen that give it a Google well worth the 10 second clip.  Thanks for the reminder Smiley

I think he surpassed that hype of Lebron James. Oh, and there's Zion Williamson too, he made a lot of noise before and after the NBA draft pick but the curse of the first pick may have gotten into him. Injuries over and over again, I think Lebron James was the only one in the first round and first pick that I saw who was successful in his career and also avoided injuries and that's also one of the big reasons why his name exploded off the charts because of his presence in most of his career games and taking care of himself.

True, Wemby is flexible. He can shoot he can drive and I was actually shocked he can also crossover, it's going to be difficult for any defensive coach to handle this man because of his different offensive weapons. I think all he needs is more experience so he can use those skills for hesitation moves. Unpredictability will always be a good weapon too for a NBA player to be successful in his career. Polishing all those abilities will be the work of San Antonio Spurs trainers.
Zion did made hype but neither it was as big as Lebron and Wemby, nor people expected him to stay healthy neither, even before he got to league he kept getting injured, his situation could be compared to Greg Oden to be fair, he didn't had much playing time and still do not have much and just looks to be a career of "what could have been" type of deal. He is still young and he could make a comeback too, look at Embiid, dude missed his early years but now an MVP player, I would say Jokic deserved it more but Embiid got one too.

So all in all either Zion will be like Oden or will be like Embiid, lets see. Yet, I still think that nobody in the world got as much hype as Wemby since Lebron James came to league. We are already expecting Wemby to be MVP level player, and anything less than that would be bad for him, I do not remember the last player that had "at least one MVP" type of expectations, that is a huge achievement and it would be dissapointment if he DIDN'T win it.

There are a lot of people who don’t know why Dwight Howard was all but blackballed from the NBA. His behavior around men in and outside the locker room is the answer. According to his recent lawsuit proceedings, Dwight Howard not only lured a man to his home for sex, but he also surprised him with another man expecting a threesome.

On the one hand, big size is a significant advantage on the court. On the other hand, it's a disadvantage because big guys like that are usually injury-prone. As for Yao, his NBA career was concise due to injuries. He played only 7 seasons, but that was more than enough to make him a member of the Hall of Fame. Let me remind you of his second game against the Lakers, during which he made 6 blocks, including 3 blocks to Shaq. At that time, Yao was probably the only player in the NBA who could create difficulties for Shaq in the paint.
My impressions of Victor are similar now. He also has great promise, but no one knows when his body will give out.
