I'd like to see Celtics vs Nuggets in the Finals, sure this match up will gain a huge number of viewers, and I can already imagine a game 7 here since both teams are quite good and played with great teamwork.

That would be the best NBA finals this decade because both are dominating the league right now and if they can only make it even harder for their opponent in the NBA playoffs, they could easily get back to the finals once again and compete with each other and surely there would be a game 7 because of the intense play of these both teams. The Celtics have huge numbers of fans and it would be them the favorite team instead of Denver because of how they strive to take back the chance to win the championship.

Let's not forget that the Miami Heat was an 8 seed that ended up in the Play-offs at the Finals vs the Denver Nuggets on the NBA don't forget the Los Angeles Lakers both those teams came from lower seeds all ended up in the playoffs so for sure even though a team in the top seed can be beaten by an 8th seed team for sure history can repeat itself,

So teams in the very last seed can enter the playoffs for sure and this is basketball and for sure it is unpredictable,

Honestly, I don't expect Morant's return to impact the Grizzlies' performance and significantly improve their spot in the standings.
I'm wondering what the attitude of the Grizzlies management towards Morant is now after everything that happened. Do they still see him as the team leader, or would they prefer to get rid of him as soon as the opportunity arises?

I surely agree with you, for sure there is not much change even though Ja Morant returns and plays for the team, for sure the Grizzlies team and management have realized that already because the team is not doing well, but I guess this is a reminder for those players that they are not above the law, and for sure that they will get suspended for sure whoever they are,

I was a bit surprised to see the Pelicans beat the Kings last night. Brandon Ingram had himself a game though putting up 30 points. Zion was less impressive only getting 10 points but he did it on an efficient 5-8 from the field. Sabonis had a great night for the Kings, but Fox wasn’t shooting the ball well and I think his 10-25 gf performance was the difference.

The Sacramento Kings got the game in the 1st quarter but when the New Orleans Pelicans got the lead from the Kings it was at this moment that the Kings realized how well the New Orleans Pelicans can be especially since they can not make a comeback from them, as Brandon Ingram and Herb Jones have played exponentially great in this game

Celtics might win in their next 5 games. Celtics have a lot of chance to get the 20 wins in this season and can even enter the playoffs again. They will dominate again the eastern conference this season and I hoping they enter again in Finals. I am a Celtics fan since 2007 and I am happy that they are still on the track to this day. I want them to be champion this season, but there's a lot of great team this season.

They've just lost to Indiana Pacers right?

And in their next games it will be either Cavs and Magic, so this could be a very close game for them. Cavs, there are games that they look like a playoff team. And then the Magic is also playing good basketball.

Good that you are a Celtics fans as some of us here in the community, but they could be threading the needle in their next 5 games and win them all, just saying.

Not in the first games, but I expect the Grizzlies to play way better when he's back than how they're playing right now.
His presence will boost the morale of the team, and they also got D. Rose who will mentor him along the way.

I just hope that this 25-game suspension of him will be the last suspension that he will face on his whole NBA career because it affected him, and his team by a lot. As for the team getting rid of him, I don't think that it will happen. How can you get rid of a very talented young player? They might do it though if he will do it again, or worse the whole NBA might ban him already after that. Do I still see him as a leader? Yes even though he went through that drama, I still see him as a good leader, but not as good as others out there.

Just don't expect too much on his comeback because like what other NBA players are, they will find their groove at the first games then from there, they will build their momentum that will help their team get some wins.
I do agree that he will be having just a little bit of adjustment period on first few games, this doesn't mean he won't be awesome at his very first game, he could come in and play with his heart out and score a lot and be awesome but then he will realize that there is a long season to be played and he can't be tired after just one game and he may end up being a little bit different, we may see him calm down a bit.

Yes, sometimes players being suspended or even after coming from a injury had their first game, usually it will be great because they want to show to everyone that they are back. Specially like Ja Morant, who is the leader of the Grizzlies team and look at how they are suffering right now. Last 2 seasons they are full of swagger and confident and remember that interview of Ja? So for him it's a mental game, he should really focus on the game itself and try to be a good role player outside. I know it's going to be very hard to change the people around you, but Ja should have known better who he will surround himself and not act like a gangster. Prioritized his game, bring back the Memphis team to what they supposedly be if he comeback and hopefully this is going to be his last drama outside of playing basketball.

I think it is going to help them and benefit them a lot, the yare already a decent team and I think he will be fine. I do agree that this suspension must be something that will benefit him, or hopefully it should, he is not some kid from the ghetto that grew up like this, so why he acting like he is a big street cred kid is beyond me, but he should learn from his mistakes, get rid of friends that influence him badly, and get help, he needs to do better than this.

The Grizzlies have only played 19 games so far. There are still 6 games to be played for Ja Morant to start or play due to his 25-game suspension. He will debut this season against the Pelicans which is the 26th game for the Grizzlies (December 19) and it will be an away game. If I were Ja Morant, I would choose to make my season debut at home. Hopefully, with Ja Morant back in the lineup the Grizzlies will improve their standing.

I’ve never been much of a fan of watching the Pacers. I’ve got a special spot for the Kings though having grown up in Sacramento. I’m always on Zion watch as well. Hopefully Zion gets some highlights in and the Kings get to light the beam. Smiley

As a knicks fan I despise the Pacers growing up watching reggie cook the Knicks in msg constantly.  I'm a full Haliburton fan.  Hot take: he will end up being a top 5 player in the league within 3 years.  Dude just cooks.  Couldn't believe when sacramento let him go.  Yeah they got sarongs but Hali is special

I expect Ja to be very wary of his return. So I guess he should play even if his season debut is away from home. He should show that he doesn't mind traveling on his first game and doesn't act like an entitled star.
He was already suspended twice, next time he'll be out in the NBA, so that's goodbye to his million contract.
Let's hope he'll be fully recovered when he comes back, he has to be mentality prepared for the possible trials on his come back and that he could live a peaceful life, away from trouble as we've seen how big his impact to the team when he's not playing.

They do need even some short win-streaks if Memphis wants to enter the playoffs.

It's a tough one, I know Ja has some talent but getting back to be the same again after missing many games, it might require him to have more feel on the actual game before he could play his usual game. But still I'm hoping the best for him as he is entertaining to watch.

So according to a tweet, Ja Morant is back on the 21st of December, and then the young star commented on the tweet and mentioned December 19. There are still over 60 remaining games in the regular season which means the Grizzlies still have the chance to climb their way up to the rankings. It's not easy though and it'll be a challenging season since there are only a few teams that are considered rebuilding.

Not going to doubt if Ja' will push his way to play on his debut away from their home court, knowing him and how he wanted to keep that media
attentions, he will probably choose to make that scene and announce his coming back game.

But on the other side, I want also to agree with you making a debut inside your home court and perform very well will create that enjoyment
for all the fans who missed him.

Let see what impact Ja' can bring. Like both of you, said they've got a lot of games left and with a winning streak they still have
that chance for this season if ever Ja' bring that spark back to the whole squad.

Hopefully, Ja worked a lot during his suspension time so he won't get rusty. Also hoping for his attitude to change, it's best if he stays humble or even stays away from the media if he can't control himself on sensitive issues.

Meanwhile, the powerhouse Boston Celtics' biggest fear is the sensitive Porzingis getting injured. Luckily for them, Porzingis is expected to return in less than a week. They just lost today to Indiana for the chance to enter the In-Game semi-finals.

Celtics @ Pacers was a nice game today!! SO many lead changes and ties, that's what we want to see. Haliburton went crazy again. I wonder how you can make so many 3s with this kind of shooting form sometimes.

Especially the last 4 point play 3 was insane, Jason Tatum's reaction to it was also priceless.

Still I am not a fan of this "tournament". Yesterday 0 games, today and tomorrow only 2 games. 3 days with only 4 games, that's boring! When it's finals time ok but we are not even at the mid point of the season and already have to wait to see games.

The kid deserve a huge contract, he was literally leading the team with his triple double, it's fun to watch that this young team has been killin the best in the East which is the Celtics. They still end up being a high scoring team, scoring 37 points in 3rd and 4th quarter against a supposed to be good defensive team, it was their game and they desrve that big win.

I heard from the announcers that it was a single elimination, so this means they'll advance in the semi's, right?

Yes that's right, it's a single elimination only. Refer to the rules.

The Knockout Rounds will be single-elimination games in the Quarterfinals (played in NBA team markets on Monday, Dec. 4 and Tuesday, Dec. 5), Semifinals and Championship.  The qualifying teams will compete for a prize pool and the new In-Season Tournament trophy, the NBA Cup.

Everyone loves a bracket...

The NBA In-Season Tournament moves on to the Knockout Rounds!

Quarterfinals: Dec. 4 & 5
Semifinals: Dec. 7
Championship: Dec. 9

We will see the championship this December 9, this is probably just a one game also.

Having this kind of set up is quite new but it's fun to watch as I can also feel the playoff atmoshphere.

It is a damn shame that Dallas ended up losing that game. They have played so hard for majority of the fourth quarter that we have ended up seeing them fumble it in the end and lose. OKC is doing marvelous again, sure they have let the other team 30-0 on a run, and that's terrible defense but also a horrible offense as well and yet they still didn't lose which is quite important and I think being able to let the other team get so close and yet still being able to finish off strong is a big talent.

Dallas once again showed that they are the wildcard of the league though, I mean if they somehow end up winning the title this season, I wouldn't be shocked, it is not expected and they are not the best team but they do have days where they do look like the best team at times. This "moments" they have does show the world that they are doing awesome and they may end up beating anyone, Luka is great of course but his teammates around him could get hot and this could be the result.

You are living in the past son, this game is over for 2 days now  Grin .

It was an exciting game. Like you said, it was fast-paced but they also showed defense which is why the score is not that high. Field goal percentage may be high but that's because they are shooting in volume. 45 percent of the Pacers against 47 percent of the Celtics. The difference came from the three-pointers and the turnovers. The Pacers made 19/40 in the distance while Celtics only made 12/41. Turnovers are a lot worse for the Celtics with 17 while the Pacers have kept the ball safe with only 6 mistakes. Pacers will be my vote to win this NBA Cup if ever OP tries to change the poll which I requested weeks ago.
They are young, they are fast, they can shoot, and their pointguard Haliburton is unselfish enough to make everyone better. Triple-double tonight 26/13/10. Crazy.

Sacramento Kings needs a bit of a push to tie the game, it's not that far with 6 minutes remaining in the regulation. Fingers crossed, the Kings can still come back.
