2. Awarding of second challenge to the coach when the first one was successful.

This should be implemented earlier since flop destroy a lot of important game. This issue is known by the refs during review that some of their call is just flop but coaches doesn’t want to waste their challenge on silly acting. Many star player benefits on this method on drawing foul since they have the charisma and star power to the refs for making them easy to believe.

Flop cips is always shown in the highlights on NBA replays. I wonder why the committee allows this kind of dirty trick before it gets a heavy penalty.

This rule is not directly related to flopping as it could be due to a wrong call by the referee. If we remember the basic rules, a coach could only challenge for a call made, not for a non-call. Therefore, it would really help the team to still have its coach's challenge as long as they make a successful challenge every time.

A lot of veteran floppers will have to adjust to this now hehe. Good for the game.
This changes their style of getting a foul so, there's a big adjustment that they have to do especially the ones that do it every game.

That will indeed make the games more exciting to watch, as the mastered "flopping" style employed by some players will be penalized in the upcoming new season. It is a necessary move that the NBA has made, considering the complaints and frustration expressed by fans, especially when prominent floppers like James Harden benefit from unfair techniques.

Dwight Howard really wants to be back in the league next year. I’m honestly a bit shocked he wasn’t in the league last year. I still think he’s a top 10 center in the league. Same with DeMarcus Cousins. I hope they both, along with Isaiah Thomas (who has been working out for teams this offseason) get a chance to show they aren’t done yet.
I agree that Dwight still has got what it takes to be in the league. I think he decided on this one when his T1(Taiwan) team announced that he'll get a huge pay cut and that's why he's now voicing his interest in getting back to the NBA. I guess his Leopards team in Taiwan is pissed off on the way he reacts with his plays but that's his normal him.

A lot of veteran floppers will have to adjust to this now hehe. Good for the game.

I believe the flopping rule has already been reported here, and we are all aware of it.
I already acknowledged that it's been discussed before. There's a difference on what was previously reported here and you'll notice that if you read my comment carefully.

Quote
However, the second rule, which awards a second challenge, seems to be something new. Personally, I like this rule because it rewards teams if there are any incorrect calls made against them. So far, these two added rules appear to be very helpful in improving the league.
Someone also raised this proposal before but I didn't read much about it so it's also not that new. I don't think it's as impactful as the flopping rule when we talk about the flow but it should be helpful in closely contested games.

Two new rules have been approved recently and will be effective this upcoming season.

1. In-Game Flopping Penalty. It's almost similar to what was previously proposed and what we've already discussed. The main difference now is that the opposing team will only be awarded one FT attempt and no more ball possession.

2. Awarding of second challenge to the coach when the first one was successful.

I agree, I read somewhere that they are eyeing Saric before, until the Warriors get him in a one year deal, and perhaps it could have been influence by Chris Paul himself as they used to be team mates in Phoenix and there are videos of him and Paul connecting thru pick and roll and Saric hitting that outside shot.

Dwight Howard, Cousins, or even Christian Wood could also be a good fit for them.

But let's see who will be their target, Howard and Cousins has the experienced. But Christian Wood is young.

I would pick Christian Wood among those vets since he's young and they can still develop that guy. He can shoot and defense but wondering why teams are not interested with him maybe there's something wrong with their scouting and I believe he will be a perfect fit on Warriors knowing Paul is there which can facilitate them properly. Warriors should think about it since they really need additional big man to their team.

I like your idea. CP3 loves playing with an athletic big guy who can easily catch his lob passes. That's exactly what the Warriors needed last season, as they lacked a significant threat inside. With CP3's exceptional passing ability and a hard-working big guy, I believe that would greatly enhance their strengths.

Same.
I hope these three good players will be given a contract. Even just one more shot, a year of veteran contract so they could prove themselves again.
DeMarcus Cousins is really pushing to get one and I even saw he is working out pretty well and have a good slim body. Fingers crossed that these guys will get their worth.
I confess... for me it is gratifying to see Cousins, IT and Howard have the opportunity to return to play in the NBA.
Even though they are over 30 years old, I believe they still have potential to play in the NBA again.

The problem with Cousins though is his attitude, the technical fouls that might sway teams from picking him up. So I would rather see Dwight Howard, fresh from his Taiwan stint, and doing good numbers there and getting the MVP awards if my memory serves me right.

so I guess that he can still play, can score and do rebounds if that is what the Lakers is looking for their new center.

What is one thing that Howard, and Cousins are similar with? They have a not-so-good attitude in the locker room especially Boogie. We can't see Howard complaining that much in the game, but I believe there's a reason behind why the Lakers didn't resign him even though they won the title. Maybe it's something that we can't even see.

As for Isaiah Thomas, there are 2 problems with him as to why no teams are getting him anymore. Him being injury-prone, and his height. Nowadays, we've seen taller Point Guards already like LaMelo. Some are shorter than him, but Thomas is way shorter that he will be having a hard time if defended. Well, if any of these 3 come back in the NBA then I'll be happy to see them play again in the biggest basketball stage.

Ja Morant's best friend Davonte Pack has been arrested.
An 18-year-old was assaulted at Ja Morant's house.
There has been no charge yet against Ja Morant.
Things haven't been going well for Ja Morant lately.
Oh crap.
I just read the news here.

An arrest warrant has been issued in Shelby County, Tennessee for Davonte Pack, a close friend of Ja Morant, over a fight involving a teenager at the Memphis Grizzlies star's home in 2022. Joshua Holloway, now 18, accused Pack and Morant of beating him up during a pick-up basketball game.
The victim is actually accusing both of them and I don't know why Ja Morant is excluded from the arrest warrant. Power? Position?
Whatever Ja Morant is going thru, it's not good anymore. He should think about what he is doing and I think it will badly affect his career one more time. Worst case scenario would be him being kicked out of NBA. Well, there's still CBA for him if he likes.
What a waste of young talented player. All the money and fame that he received obviously went to his head like he is invincible. Sadly, he is not.
Let's see what Commissioner Adam Silver will say about this.
Ohhhhh not again. :X

What's happening with him might affect the whole reputation of the NBA to be honest. Well, since it happened in Morant's house, there's a chance that he might get arrested as well since he's involved with the crime. Nevertheless, I'd like to see Commissioner Silver's response to this one... or will he respond? Him being kicked out in the NBA? The last one who got kicked out (unofficially) in the NBA was O.J Mayo back in 2016 I guess because of drug issues. I don't think that he will get kicked, and I don't also think that the NBA will respond to this one unless it becomes huge enough to get the attention of the authorities.

Yeah, he said that he wanted to go back to the Lakers as LA is still looking for a good center. Yes, they got Hayes, but he is a different kind of athletic freak. Maybe what the Lakers needed is someone like Howard, who can take care of the boards and block shots.

As for Ja Morant, everything is not looking good for him. He really surrounded himself with bad individuals thats why he is asking like a gangster. If he is involved again here in the latest spat against the law then he is wasting his time and money.

Even though it's not directly him, but rather his friends, it can still reflect poorly on him. He really needs to distance himself from that circle he's currently involved with because his future is at risk. At such a young age, he has the potential to earn much more than he currently does. He just needs to ensure that he sets a good example for others and makes positive choices for himself.

Considering Wemby is a 7'3+ Center that has a great ball handling and shot, I have to say the risk of getting injured is there as well. So, I am guessing they are aiming at making his core more powerful, and his legs more powerful along with his knees.

Normally tall players get injured a lot easier, he is a skinny dude as well which means that there is a chance he could get injured a lot easier. So instead of making him play at summer league, maybe they will end up with him training his body instead, he is already talented and making him shoot more shots doesn't really make him all that much better, his body being trained to withheld 82 game season would be much more important at this moment and if he plays 70+ games on his rookie season I will consider that a huge success.

Concerns that Victor may be injury prone are justified as he is too skinny for his height. In fact, he weighs about as much as the average point guard and shooting guard, which means that even small forwards can pressure him in the paint. As I see it, the optimal weight for Victor should be 265-285 pounds to dominate the paint and be less prone to injury.
So he should really spend a lot of time in the Spurs' gym during the offseason.

Due is 19 years old.  It's not easy for a 7'5 19 year old to gain weight, but now he's in the NBA, the worlds premier basketball league.  He's going to have access to the best sports medicine and athletic training on the planet.  These NBA teams spare no expense when it comes to making sure their players are at peak condition.  He will have world class dedicated trainers and nutritionist who will work on growing his body in to a mans form..I'm he's a kid, dude isn't even out of his teenage years.

That's one of his advantage right now, he will have the best sports doctor hired and then trainer that will create a program just for himself and basketball and for sure we will see his body transform in our eyes just like Giannis did in his entire NBA career.

I'm not saying that he will be a tank or something, but definitely we will see some improvement on his body. Spurs should know buy now seeing his 2 games in the summer league what needs to be done in his body. But we will still have that moves and can dribble penetrate and his height and body will not be a problem. For sure Spurs management are excited right now.
