DeMarcus Cousins came out and said that he believes he is the third best center in the league right now. That’s a little crazy when you think about how few games he’s played the last 5 years. No doubt he’s a beast and probably deserves a chance. There must be something keeping him from being signed though and I think it’s his attitude not any blackballing.
Attitude. That's one of the problems. Then, injuries. Finally, he always fouls out when he was in Denver Nuggets. If you are one of the best centers in the league then you must have the skills to avoid those kinds of fouls. He probably doesn't know how good contests would be. I think Kevon Looney is one of the centers that are good at contesting shots with just straight arms.
Despite that, I still want to see if there are changes in his attitude toward the game. I want to see him play in the NBA again.

Now, we have the Lakers secured at 7. I love what they did with the Antman. He only scored 9 points in 43 minutes.
Tomorrow, the Pelicans versus the Thunders. Who will battle the Timberwolves for the 8th spot? My prediction is the Pelicans will win it.

Very hard to predict that OKC still has some good players that might upset the Pelicans, SGA for sure will have to elevate in this game. Although BI and CJ could be a problem for the OKC, specially BI who is really good in their last 10 games.

The initial line for the Pelicans is -5.5. Might be tempting to bet, but we will see.

Might be good to see the game first before making our bets.

The game went crazy! I thought the Lakers would already win the game with Schröder's 3-point shot, but then Davis fouled Conley on his last 3-point attempt. Conley also has ice in his veins; he made all three free throw attempts, and now the game is in overtime.

Good thing the Lakers are still in the game despite LeBron's turnovers in the remaining few minutes.

Davis though, Lol, not sure why he fouled Conley on that attempt, if it just 2 point lead, then maybe they have lost the game with Conley's icing 3 free throws. But it did take a lot from the Lakers to win in this game, they should have easily won because Gobert is not there. Lebron has to dig on his bag of tricks to salvage this game for good. Yeah, turnovers from both team, but at least the Lakers won.

Also the Miami Heat losing to Trae's Atlanta, seems that age has catch up with the Heat.

I do agree that some drastic changes is needed, Pat Riley will have to decide, who's who he will trade and who stays.

Well, we almost got 2 surprise home losses, almost.

Too bad Timberwolfes couldn't pull it off even though they were leading by as many as 15 in the middle of the 3rd and 10 at the beginning of the 4th. Really bad game from Edwards. Sad

Atlanta winning in Miami was rather surprising. Miami dug a deep hole in the first half where they couldn't get out of. Lucky for Miami they have another shot vs the Raptors or the Bull. If they face the Raptors this might be the exit for them, against the Bulls I think they will advance.

Excited for tomorrow to see the other 2 games. Anything can happen!
Yeah, it was an upset by the Hawks, but they really played solid games in the road. They build a huge lead, and when the Heat tries to make a comeback, in the 3rd and in the 4th, cutting the lead to 6-7, they will have their own run and push the lead to 10-11 points and then the Heat gets tired. No spectacular games from Jimmy Butler, it was all Hero and Lowry. Most likely we will see huge changes in the Miami Heat next season, maybe it's time for them to trade their pieces like Bam Adebayo as a bait.

I'm sorry for posting it here, but this picture really is something unusual for me Cheesy. I mean we've seen Lillard's Dame Time gesture, but this gesture is the one I've seen for the first time, and it's just very good to see your teammates having the same gesture after hitting a game-winning shot. Unfortunately, Davis spoiled it with his foul against Conley, but he apologized in an interview.

The Lakers are 10-2 when Schroeder is scoring 10+ points, and now he got 21 to help his team retain that 7th seed and will face the Grizzlies. TBH, I'm not impressed with how the Lakers played tonight. Many expected this to be a one-sided game because of the problems that the Wolves got. No Gobert, no McDaniels, no Reid, Towns in foul trouble, Edwards not having a good night, and the Lakers are down almost the whole game, but anyway, a win is a win, and I hope that they will not play the same when they face the Grizzlies.

P.S. The Timberwolves has now 19 losses after leading by 10+ points. It's the 2nd most in the NBA this season. Cheesy

Atlanta winning in Miami was rather surprising. Miami dug a deep hole in the first half where they couldn't get out of. Lucky for Miami they have another shot vs the Raptors or the Bull. If they face the Raptors this might be the exit for them, against the Bulls I think they will advance.
I don't know what's the problem with the Heat this season. I mean they're the last in terms of scoring, and they've been having a hard time winning this whole season. In this game against the Hawks in their home, the Heat are down by as high as 21 points, and whenever the Heat will make a run, the Hawks will make their own as well. It's like they are just trading points, and can't defend at all. Anyway, they lost, and will wait for the winner of the 9th-10th match-up in the East.

Edwards played maybe his worst game ever.

I think this was the difference. Edwards was 0-9 from three point range. He also scored 15 points below his average. If he hits just 1 three pointer this game could have gone a different way. Maybe a young guy cracking under pressure? Whatever it was, the Lakers got lucky tonight. If they play like this going forward, their season might not last much longer.

The foul trouble problem of Towns was really a hindrance. If Gobert was there, the Wolves might not have struggled on the defensive side as Towns could rest while Gobert took care of the defense. The Wolves were outrebounded in this game, with an 11-rebound disparity in favor of the Lakers. This could be one of the major reasons as well.

Regarding Edwards, he likely won't have another bad game next time, so the Wolves could still make the playoffs.

The Timberwolves had a very good 3-point shooting in the 1st half, but it was lost in the 2nd half. I think the problem was KAT getting into early foul trouble. He was limited in the 2nd half, which gave the Lakers a chance to come back. A team like the Wolves, with a lack of playoff experience, will never advance to a higher level as they were pretty much exposed in this game.

Atlanta winning in Miami was rather surprising. Miami dug a deep hole in the first half where they couldn't get out of. Lucky for Miami they have another shot vs the Raptors or the Bull. If they face the Raptors this might be the exit for them, against the Bulls I think they will advance.

Yeah, it's not surprising to me as Trae Young is really good in the playoffs. Look how he played; he was very focused and they were playing with great chemistry. Personally, I would not be surprised if they upset the Celtics in the first round.

Good thing the Lakers are still in the game despite LeBron's turnovers in the remaining few minutes.

LeBron was playing like he was exhausted at the end. Turnover after turnover and shooting lazy jump shots. That drive to dish to Schröder for the three was the most energy I saw from him. Then that foul against AD was nonsense… Luckily they came through with the win after trailing all game. Great ending though. I’m really hoping we get a LeBron vs KD matchup in this postseason.

A LeBron vs KD matchup might not happen if LeBron gets eliminated in the first round and the Suns lose to Leonard with an improving Westbrook. We have great matchups in the first round, and this playoffs, the Grizzlies will be tested and might stop their 'dynasty' again, LOL.

Anyways, the Timberwolves still have a chance; they just need to win the game they will be hosting to get the last spot. Edwards needs to come up with a big game, as he struggled big time in this game.

What did we watch? That was a crazy game. There was great excitement in the last part of the match, but it wasn't possible to talk about quality basketball. Wolves couldn't score for 5 minutes in the last quarter, they had serious problems on offense. Towns couldn't do anything in both offense and defense after receiving 5 fouls. Edwards played maybe his worst game ever. Conley kept them in the game, but that wasn't enough. Both teams had a record number of turnovers. They made mistake after mistake in important times. Wolves would've won this game comfortably if Edwards had played just a little bit better. We can say that Schröder was the player of the match. LeBron looks incredibly tired.
Somehow they got themselves into the play-off but Lakers have a tough job with this game against Memphis.

IMO, Ham have a terrible rotation, Towns is dominating and the Lakers was playing small ball lol.

They will surely make adjustments in the second half since they cannot let the Wolves continue controlling the game. They have to at least trim the lead to a single digit going into the fourth quarter; otherwise, it will be hard for them to come back.

Does anyone really want to see this team in a 7 game series vs the Grizzlies or the Nuggets?  I'd love to see another Minnesota vs Memphis series last year's was great.  And I'd like to see the Pelicans against the Nuggets.  You can't throw Schroeder, austin reeves etc out there at the 1/2 and think you are gonna compete for anything serious.  They need a real guard in FA that can guard.  And a proper center.  Who is going to guard jokic if they play the Nuggets?  He will drag AD out on the perimeter and Nuggets will eat them up down low.

Based on what the Lakers are showing, they stand no chance against the Nuggets, as points are coming from everywhere. However, if Minnesota enters the playoffs, I doubt they will win either, especially if Gobert is unable to come back soon. Nonetheless, let's watch the game and see what happens; it isn't over yet as the Lakers are slowly inching in, and we still have the last quarter. The Lakers could still win this.

If gobert is playing this Minnesota team will give Memphis everything it can handle.  As long as KAT is healthy the jaren jackson/KAT matchup will be amazing.  X factor is if someone can stop everyone not named Ja.  Ja will get his in the playoffs but they can't let Bane and Dillon go off either.  That's the series we need to see though.

In other news, Rudy Gobert punched a teammate in a timeout today. I wonder what will happen now since they have their important game against the Lakers for the number 7 spot. In a normal situation he would be suspended for sure but now I’m not sure they will do it with such a big game coming up.

Pretty sure there will be no suspension on any of the player involved as they are about to play against the Lakers in a very important game this year. However, the Timberwolves ' chemistry now are in jeopardy. There will a two different side of stories regarding that scuffle, and some teammates may pick who ever side they think is right.
Well, they can't afford to lose Gobert though. Let's see if they can sort things out and play like nothing happened.

Nope, Gobert was reportedly suspended in the play-in tournament, and I think we won't be seeing him play again this post season.

Yep I was wrong lol. Haven't read announcement a few hours after I posted this so my mistake. But I really thought they have to do whatever is necessary to keep Gobert off for some suspension. However, the Timberwolves were doing a good job up by 11 in the first half against the Lakers. Mike Conley was confident in the interview that they could still win without Gobert and that the issue within the team was settled immediately.
Let's see if  there's a Laker comeback in 2nd half..

Early on but wolves +8.5 is easy money right now.  Up 40-31, this Lakers team wouldn't be able to hang with Memphis.  Last year's wolves and Memphis series could use a round 2.  Would be a good matchup.  Lakers are in trouble this game, they just don't have the guard play to make it work.
It's still too early, hehe. I have the Lakers at -7.5, and while they might struggle in the first half, I expect them to have a strong comeback in the second half. Regardless, this game is fun to watch, and I'm not worried about whether they'll cover the spread or not because I'm sure they'll play harder since it's a must-win game for them.

It's a must win game for the Timberwolves too Smiley

Still very close at this point, I have the Lakers as well -7.5 so crossing our fingers here.

The T'wolves are making a comeback in the 2nd quarter and at some point take a 2 point lead. But still very early, if the Lakers are down at the end of first half, I'm expecting them to start the 3rd quarter strong to be able to pull this win. There's no way that they will allow the T'Wolves to take a huge lead and then try to make a catch up in the 4th. It will be very difficult task for them.

Edit: T'Wolves with double digit advantage end of 1st half.
