It's just like my Chicago Bulls to start turning it up right around playoff time, which I think they are like one win away from making the play in game.  Thing is we all know that they aren't really very good and there's of course absolutely no chance of them making any real noise in the playoffs..so it's just of course another year with another poor opportunity for getting a draft pick for a player that won't be a blue chipper atop the list.

Right now , the situation on Mavs team is not great at all. There are speculations that bringing Irving in this team , has made all the other players to lose a bit of passion towards the game. Don't get me wrong , I like Irving but the guy is a problem on every team he plays with. He made my boy Luka to look like he is having a crisis with his buckets and points but it's just the fact that he is sharing the court with Irving ...because I've watched some Mavs games lately and there is simply no chemistry between these 2 Sad and what a season did Mavs had before Irving came aboard.

I do hope , they will trade him this summer as soon as possible and leave this Mavs team to perform and chase glory like they are suppose to do.
Luka said he was not happy for an unknown reason, he didn't tell and that's just after 10+ games with Kyrie. We know how Luka plays the game, he always smiles on the court, win or lose. He loves competing.
I don't want to judge Kyrie with mere speculations but you may be right, anywhere he goes, there is this aura that makes other players lose their competitive spirit. Locker room problem, maybe?

Kyrie don't create any drama about his teammates at the moment and maybe what's happening to Dallas now is full frustration about everything happening on their team right now. They lose a vital piece on their rooster and they are lacking a total team efforts that's why they lose majority of their games. They need to make their other player work because its like they are relying to much on Luka and Kyrie. If they officially shutdown this two stars this season then maybe its up for the management to decide their next move and think about chase back to kyrie if they want to sign him up or let him try the free agency.

There are too many games to watch tonight. Sixers - Celtics will be live on TV. Both teams are big contenders in the East. It'll be a preview of a possible Eastern Conference Final. Celtics beat Sixers in all previous games, I wonder what will Sixers do this time. I watched too many games of Celtics this season and see them as the biggest contender of the championship. This game is a must watch to me. It'll be a great opportunity to see the latest situation of the teams.

It looks like Andrew Wiggins will be at the Warriors game today joining his teammates for the first time in weeks as he works his way back into the lineup. Reports are now saying it isn’t problems with his girlfriend but the health of his father that has kept him away from the team. Regardless, it looks like he’ll be back in action in time for a playoff run.
They need these 3 wins to nail the coffin and be in the playoffs without going thru the rigorous play-in tournaments. The Warriors will be up a notch in their defensive line with him, Payton, and Draymond Green being the outside protectors while letting Looney do his job under the rim.
Perhaps, the team had urged him to return like it was an emergency, or else he will come back playing a practice game instead of the playoffs.

Ok, because initially the rumor was so "f**k up" regarding his girlfriend, and when that rumor surfaces, I check her profile and it seems that everything is ok and that she is posting pictures. So it's just a rumor and those who spread about the issue with the his girlfriend are just malicious. And it's a big game for them, they will still need to win this one at their homecourt and most likely Wiggins is the missing pieces that the Warriors need right now. Almost all of their losses are close and they need someone like Wiggins to play defense and then score too.

So let's see how he will do in his comeback game. They could have been in solo 5th place if  they just won against the Nuggets the last time. Don't count them yet, they have the experience and championship DNA. Just like last year when no one thought that they will not even go to the Finals, they won the NBA trophy and shut down all their detractors.

I love the New York Knicks somehow finding a way to steal a win against the strong Cavaliers in their home and without Julius Randle.
Jalen Brunson, 48 monster points! Is he really that small? Grin Who else can score that much at 6'1?!
He's a beast, a low-key beast and I'm sure that is being recognized by most. I can't get over that match because I thought that the first-half shooting machine of Mitchell was already on momentum but then Brunson shows how to beat it.
The knicks are sneaky becoming a team no one wants to see in the playoffs.  They are one of the best road teams and are tough to beat back to back.  They are gritty and withstood a cavs first quarter of 47 points.  No Randle no problem.

And I'm gonna say this someone tell me I'm wrong.  Brunson was the best steal in free agency in the last 10 years.

Dallas declined extending him 4 years for $55mil mid season last year 😂
And there's this now rumor made by how good Knicks are this season and that's to acquire Luka on them. Well, I don't think that it will ever happen and I do agree that Knicks did the right thing by acquiring Brunson.
No one wouldn't want to face them in the playoffs because of how good they are and they are not overrated while we're saying this. It's just common that they're noticeably good and that's why.

As much as I'd like Luka on the Knicks that isn't happening anytime soon.  Why would Dallas give up a generational player for some pieces back and draft picks which are unknowns.  Them trading for kyrie shows they are trying to build around Luka. No once he hits free agency that would be amazing if knicks had the cap space at that position but that's not until 2027.  Luka isn't going anywhere.

I agree. I don't even know what's the basis of that rumor nor where did it came from because it is very highly unlikely that the Dallas Mavericks will trade Luka for the Knicks in-exchange for some 2-3 players and few future picks. The roster of the Dallas Mavericks will remain as is and I believe they will acquire another additional to upgrade their defense because it's already clear that the Mavs duo can't handle it all.

The situation of the Mavericks is not good at all right now. I have honestly actually forgotten the last time they were able to win two matches in a row. This situation is not going to get better if they keep Kyrie Irving on the team. Dallas Mavericks should get rid of him.

Because I honestly agree that he is certainly bringing the morale of the team down. I know we are being really harsh. But sometimes the truth is harsh and you just have to accept it. I don't think there is any workaround to this situation other than getting rid of Kyrie Irving.

I don't think they have a high chance of winning the chip. For some reason they don't cut it for me this season. There is so much inconsistency and the big problem is not winning away from home. Their record on the road is so bad this season, it's scary.
I mean, 9 wins and 30 losses, that will not be enough in the playoffs.
They won't have home court advantage so they MUST win on the road, that's gonna be tough!!

I don't see them passing any rounds even if they made it to play-offs. They either match-up with Kings or Grizzlies, in both scenarios that would be an easy first round win for opponents. We watched how they played in regular season. No matter how good you play at home, you can't pass any rounds without winning away games. Especially if you go into the play-offs in last places.

Yes their road record doesn't really make a lot of sense to me but we still have to consider that they will be facing one team at a time during the playoffs so I think that makes a whole lot of difference. If they get some tiredness from travelling from city to city with back to back games then that could be lessen somehow.

This is definitely not a dominant season for them but this team knows how to grind out wins even if it's ugly. Getting the W is what really matters at the end of the day. They're still in the mix of top contenders.

That's a timely comeback! I was optimistic that he would return, and with him back, the Warriors are once again in full squad mode going into the playoffs. In the past, I've read reports that despite Wiggins missing many games, he has maintained his stamina by practicing, so hopefully, he is still 100% healthy and can contribute to the Warriors' games.

If the GSW will gonna easily pass their first-round opponent, it would be a scary thing for the rest of the teams in the western conference because the GSW once again they will gonna push to compete in the NBA finals once again. Their opponent should not underestimate these guys and they should take them seriously if they want to knock out the defending champion. The Warriors know exactly what they gonna do and that's why they are scary when it comes to the NBA playoffs it is nice if they will be knockout as soon as possible, but if they can't then GSW will have a high chance to win the championship this year too.

There was a time that they are 4th on the standings, and there was a time where the Mavericks has a 96% chance that they will clinch the playoffs, but now they only have 6% chance of clinching. A drop of 90% in just a few months (Bleacher Report).

Not getting Brunson, giving away Finney-Smith, and Dinwiddie, and getting Kyrie Irving is their worst decisions that lead to this one. Now as for their remaining games, they will be having a hard time defeating the Kings, and I don't think that the Kings got beaten by a low-seeded team like Spurs will affect them, but they might choose not to play their key player in preparation for the playoffs. Overall, winning all 3 games for the Mavericks will be hard knowing that they only won 1 game out of their last 8 games.

I'm not expecting from them anymore, and Luka will be the only player who averaged 30+ PPG, 6+ RPG, and 6+ APG in a season that will miss the playoffs in NBA history.

It doesn't matter what individual stats Luka has because the championship is primarily won by the team, not the player alone. In this case, the Mavs are doing really badly, and it's primarily the fault of their management who decided to make that trade in the middle of the season. As for the remaining three games, I agree with you, and I don't think the Mavs can win against the Kings and the Bulls. They can probably beat the Spurs, although I'm not sure about that.

That's a terrible record. I'm wondering if the team is still managing to stay composed despite the repeated losses. I'm certain there are underlying issues that need to be addressed, and they must be tough and strong to overcome these problems. In case they miss the playoffs, they need to start planning for the next season. Hopefully, Kyrie will stay with the team, as the Mavericks have taken a significant risk by trading away key players.

That's another chapter in history, as Luka has made significant achievements both good and bad, if I may say so.

Take note that the Mavericks need to win all of their remaining games, then after that, it will all depends on the other teams whether they will enter or not. Just winning 3 straight games is hard for the Mavericks already.

It's possible for the Mavericks to win against the Kings, Bulls, and Spurs, but it's unlikely that they'll win all three matches. The Kings and Bulls have been playing well compared to the Mavericks, so winning against them will be a challenge. Even if the Mavericks win all three matches, they still have to contend with other teams competing for a play-in spot who will also be fighting hard to win. In my opinion, the Mavericks' chances at the moment are very low, and they have a tough road ahead of them.

Kings will be very difficult to beat unless Sacramento will take a dive on this game, but I doubt that they will as they want to win as well to get that momentum entering the playoff because this is the first time that they will be in after many years. The Bulls is inconsistent, but in any night, Zach Lavine and DeRozan could be the most formidable duo in the league, and if that is the case, then it's going to be a problem for the Mavs. Spurs, is at the tail end of the standing, and this is the only game that I can think of that Mavs have a good chance to win, but it won't be enough for them.

Before the Kyrie trade, the Mavericks had a promising record, but it ultimately led to disappointment, and it seems unlikely that they will make it to the playoffs this season. As for the Suns, who were previously upset by the Mavericks in the Western Semi-Finals, they may feel relieved to avoid facing them this year.

It's better to accept the reality that the Mavericks are unlikely to achieve a miraculous turnaround, rather than continuing to hold onto unrealistic expectations.
There was a time that they are 4th on the standings, and there was a time where the Mavericks has a 96% chance that they will clinch the playoffs, but now they only have 6% chance of clinching. A drop of 90% in just a few months (Bleacher Report).

Not sure about the Kings are "very difficult" to beat. I mean, this is gonna be their first time to be in the playoffs and we all know playoffs is different than the regular season. If we are to assume that the current standings is final, so they have to play against the defending champs. The Warriors are a playoff veterans, they know how to play in the playoffs. If the Warrior team is healthy entering the playoffs, I guess the odds will be most likely has no huge difference.

If the Warriors will play with complete and healthy squad, chances of winning are really good for them, though we also seen how
great the Kings now they are very competitive.

A good series to watch out if the current standing will be the basis on the next round. I see some good odds for both squads.

Let's park for a while and wait till the final announcement happens with who will be meeting each other on the playoff.

Yeah, the Kings might give it to them but I doubt the Chicago Bulls will offer it as a gift to them. They also needed that win even if they are one win away to be protected for the play-in tournament, just to avoid a tiebreaker against the Wizards or the Magic. If they can somehow increase their rank and be on the 7th or 8th place then it would be an easier run as they just need 1 game to be protected for the 7th spot in the playoffs.
Wizards are out but the Magic still has a chance to qualify in the play-in, so you are right, Bulls needs to win their upcoming games to ensure a spot. So the Mavericks who's defense has become a problem now, is not likely gonna win against this Bulls team.

Spurs on the other hand are just enjoying every game that is left for them and this is what scares most of the team. They are so calm that it might become difficult for Luka and his crew to win it using force.
The surprising win against the Kings is the proof of that.
I'm sure they can beat the Spurs, but like what was previously mention, they need to win all the remaining games to have a chance. So one lose, means the season is over for them.
