Gonna be difficult for the Lakers specially against the Suns, who have Kevin Durant back in the line up now and Booker still playing good basketball even if Durant is in the floor with him.

They are not going to face the Suns, as they will likely participate in the play-in tournament. If they succeed, they will face the Memphis Grizzlies, who are currently ranked second in the standings. This will be a tough challenge for Memphis, as they will be facing a team that has already won a championship. So, we can expect to see many upsets in the upcoming playoffs.

Having a few more days to rest before the playoffs start, and also the fact that they would be facing the third instead of first or second is the difference maker. If Lakers somehow manage to get to sixth spot, they will have a few days clear schedule, and they can rest a lot during that period, lets face it they got injured and tired so much during the last few weeks of the season. Plus Kings may have done well this season so far, but when they face Lebron that may change, we have seen him beat many good teams on playoffs before, and Kings is not a team that is been in playoffs for a long time, so it will be a wild matchup for sure. I guess this is why they want to get that spot, not saying they will, but there is a difference between 6th and 7th that is huge.

I also see the Sacramento Kings as the weakest of the top 4 in the western conference. There are still 2 to 3 games remaining but the Kings will probably remain in the 3rd spot. But it won't be easy for these low-ranked teams to position themselves as 6th since these teams are too tight with each other. The Lakers cannot relax either as losing the last 2 games might drop them to rank 9 which is very difficult. The Lakers will enjoy home games in its last 2 games but it is facing the Suns and the Jazz. The Suns might take the game seriously in order to retain its 4th spot which is a home-court advantage during the playoffs. The Jazz on the other hand is still alive and it needs to win 2 or 3 of its last remaining games for a chance to enter the play-ins.

And probably that's why the Warriors as per Draymond wanted to face the Kings in the first round, because he knows that they don't have the experienced yet and maybe choke on a game series against 7. And the Kings lost to the Mavs today, they lead in the first 2 quarters but the Mavs with Christian Wood and Kyrie hitting that important 3's to seal the game for them.

Gonna be difficult for the Lakers specially against the Suns, who have Kevin Durant back in the line up now and Booker still playing good basketball even if Durant is in the floor with him.

It will be a difficult task for the Kings to play against the defending champion, even though they have the same system now, as Curry is a different player in the playoffs. Based on the current standings, the Warriors are at 6th while the Kings are at 3rd, so they will likely face each other in the first round.

It's a challenging matchup for the Kings, even though they have the home-court advantage. It's definitely not easy to beat the defending champion.

My prediction if they'll meet, it's Warriors at 6 at most.

Lebron's production in the second half is not enough for a comeback win. Maybe he should have started early to keep the game closer in the first half. I would also like to commend the effort of Reaves even if his team lost. It felt like he was doing everything by himself in the final minute hehe.

Great game for Powell against the Lakers. Perfect time to do well as replacement for the injured Paul George.

Well! they just missed their good chance to get through the play-in tournament instantly with that game but that's just the way it is, the Clippers were well prepared and they were attacking the basket in the early quarters and took the lead and eventually won the game. Now that the Lakers are out of the top 6, they really need to work hard to win every single remaining game so that in the play-in tournament they will only need to win one game in order to get to the playoffs and get back on track to chase the NBA championship once again.

So in the last game it might be that Memphis wants to win this game, then OKC is in trouble and Dallas could profit from that.

I think Memphis will give the win to Oklahoma City, as it Dallas Mavericks would be a tough matchup in the the playoffs compared to the young OKC team. Despite the Mavericks winning their remaining games, I feel that OKC is still likely to make it to the play-in tournament.

This is their own fault for not winning enough games, so they may need to make adjustments next season, as there is plenty of time in the off-season, especially if Kyrie decides to stay with the team.

I also see that Memphis can give this to OKC to prevent Dallas from moving forward and have that chance for the Play in knowing how dangerous Dallas is if they'll be given a chance to continue.

Still unpredictable if what will those on the upper side will do to secure spots and to have a good advantage
to whoever they will go to face to the playoff. For sure, all teams are now checking the possibilities on
having a good advantage with their next opponents.

The Clippers have now won 11 straight games against the Lakers. I thought tonight was going to stop that streak. The Lakers looked pretty bad all game up until the last 4 minutes. Then it seemed like they tried to win but fell just short. I don’t know if injuries or fatigue from playing the night before was a major factor, but the Lakers season will be over pretty soon if that’s the effort they make going forward.

I actually had to check if that is true but you are right, 11 in a row. It really has been a while since the last lakers win, December 2020 to be exact.

Bad timing for Anthony Davis to have a quiet game today, they needed him to win this one. Other than James and the new hero Reaves there wasn't much more help.

It's not over yet to reach the playoffs directly but at least they are having the playins secured. Now it's important to at least secure the 7th or 8th spot to have 2 games to get the one of the 2 remaining playoff spots.

That's what I noticed after Lebron comes back from his injury, he starts slowly and then wakes up in the second half, but sometimes is not enough to overcome their opponent like in this game. Davis production though, it's below his average, might be another reason why they lost.

Great game for Powell against the Lakers. Perfect time to do well as replacement for the injured Paul George.

Yeah, what a game by Powell, to lead the Clippers with 27 big points. This is a big blow to the Lakers, but still not lost for them though, they can still vie in for the play-in and go on the playoffs for this year.

This Lakers versus Clippers game is off to a pretty crazy start. The Lakers are down 15 to 3 and have looked terrible out there. Westbrook hit an open 3… Not off to the best start. Most of the Lakers shots have been blocked and AD is already crying for fouls. This could be a long game. Hopefully this is the worst of it for the Lake Show.
I still believe that the Lakers will win this game, and I see this as an opportunity to place a live bet on them. The LA ML odds are currently profitable, assuming they win. However, it's still early, and many things could happen in the game. One thing is for sure, though - it's going to be a fun game.

Currently they are down in the first half, 71-52. Kahwi and Westbrook are leading the way for the Clippers.

But another 24 minutes for us to see if the Lakers can turn this game around. This is a must win for both, but more on the Lakers side to really carry themselves in the playoff and not wait for the outcome of other games to decide their faith.

Lebron started slow, and it was Austin Reaves again and D'Lo for the Lakers.

The third quarter is very important for the Lakers. They need to trim down the lead to at least a single digit heading into the fourth quarter. Their defense is key in this situation as they allow the Clippers to shoot well from beyond the three-point line in the first half, it cannot happen again. The Lakers need to make a comeback and turn the game into an exciting spectacle to watch
You were correct, the Lakers are having a moment now with a big comeback in the third quarter. The Clippers should only have a single-digit lead if their momentum continues. If that's the case, we will see an exciting fourth quarter, where the Lakers still have a chance of winning the game.

Good luck to the bettors, this is turning out to be an enjoyable game.

However, the NOP are leading against the Grizzlies in a surprised twist of even. The Pelicans force a OT, and if I'm not mistaken, if they win this games, the Mavs are out of the playoff (correct me if I'm wrong).

The Dallas Mavericks are not yet out of the playoffs race. They have a better chance of making it to the play-in tournament as they are currently tied with the OKC Thunder. OKC has one game left against the Jazz, while the Mavericks still have two games left against the Bulls and the Spurs. If the Mavericks win both games, they will make it to the play-in, and OKC will be eliminated.

OKC has 2 games left actually, against the Jazz  tomorrow and the last one at home against Memphis.

As long as OKC doesn't lose one more game it doesn't matter what Dallas does, they will be out since OKC owns the tie breaker of those 2 teams.

So it all comes down to this for the Mavs, win both remaining games and prey they OKC loses in Utah or the last one at home.
Since Utah is out it's likely OKC can win this game because they want/need to and Utah does not really care.

Memphis on the other hand can still lose 2nd place in the west if they lose both remaining games and Sacramento wins both ( plus some special things must happen to decide the tie breaker) .

So in the last game it might be that Memphis wants to win this game, then OKC is in trouble and Dallas could profit from that.

And it looks like the Dallas Mavericks will win their game against the Kings. As they have a good lead now, and they are hitting their 3's and Christian Wood in a big help. Luka and Irving too has a nice game to boot.

However, the NOP are leading against the Grizzlies in a surprised twist of even. The Pelicans force a OT, and if I'm not mistaken, if they win this games, the Mavs are out of the playoff (correct me if I'm wrong).
Dallas Mavericks won! Finally. Sacramento Kings truly gave them a difficult time. The game was very competitive with Fox and Tim Hardaway going at each other. But the star of the night will be Kyrie Irving. He does things that cannot be explained. That three-point shot at the corner was just impossible with the shot clock winding down and a defender in your face. He still nailed it though.

Now they have 38 wins tied with OKC Thunder. They still have a chance to enter the play-in tournament if they can lock in all the games with a win.
They don't want a tiebreaker to happen because the record against OKC is 2-1 in favor of the Thunder. I just wish they always play this hard on both ends of the floor.
The Oklahoma City Thunder could win their next game, even though it's on the road. As for the Dallas Mavericks, the only game that could pose a problem is their match against the Chicago Bulls. That should be a crucial game for them, and they will need to win it. The Bulls may relax a bit in this game, as they have already qualified for the play-in tournament so they should not waste this opportunity.

So who do you guys think deserves the MVP for the year? I've been hearing a lot about Joel Embiid on sports outlets like ESPN and my local Chicago sports radio station.  I know that he's been right in the race with Jokic over the past couple years and there's been a lot made about how Embiid should have maybe won one of those.  I also saw Doc Rivers "aggressively" proclaiming that there's nothing left to discuss, Embiid is the clear cut MVP already.

Congrats to anyone who bet on this..it seems he's got it all but locked up.
A few weeks ago, I already put a bet on Embiid on winning the MVP, and I guess he deserves to spoil the back-to-back-to-back MVP titles of Jokic because he deserves to be the MVP this season.

With how he carries the whole Sixers team right now, even some of the analysts are rooting on Embiid to win it as well. It's Jokic in the start to mid season, but coming into the final stretch of the regular season, Embiid played better than Jokic already. Though I don't know if the voters will pick Embiid on this one over Jokic because it's still hard to choose and bet which one will win. As for Coach "Choke" Rivers proclaiming that Embiid will be the MVP, of course he will say that because he is the coach of the Sixers where Embiid is playing currently. Cheesy

I guess I don't want to assume that Embiid will be the MVP this season until they will say that he is, and if he is then my bet won. Cheesy
