He does need it if we look at his average stats for 2022 and the back-to-back triple double production in his last two games hehe. Those figures are MVP worthy.

....
However, it's worth noting that Simmons still needs a lot of work on himself because his absence of more than a year has affected him negatively anyway. I mean, he's still far from his game shape, which he had in the 76ers.
Yes he's still below his 76ers numbers but I think he's got his confidence back. He's just happy to let KD or Kyrie take the lead for the team. It won't be long before we see consistent double-double figures.

Unless you're a fan of the Nets, any letdown that happens shouldn't bother you. I think it's a positive thing to see the team performing so well. Ben Simmons is a surprise lately as well. Noone even knew if he was ever gonna play for the Nets. Averaging over 8 points a game with 6 rebounds and 6 assists, not too shabby honestly. Not much more needs added for him to be averaging a triple double nightly.

Nets are a shocker in the NBA currently.

By the way, Simmons could have made his first triple-double of the season a couple of games ago, but he was only 2 assists away from it. So yeah, it looks like he is slowly adapting as he's performing better compared to how he performed at the beginning of this season. However, it's worth noting that Simmons still needs a lot of work on himself because his absence of more than a year has affected him negatively anyway. I mean, he's still far from his game shape, which he had in the 76ers.

How about the Nets winning 10 straight. That seemed like a pipe dream a few weeks ago. It seems like they’re starting to get it figured out. I’m glad because KD is too good to not get another chance in the Finals. I hope this is his year because I’m not sure what his future will look like. He seems to be setting himself up to be a bit of a journeyman in his final years in the league.
Looks like Uncle Drew is on a mission, when he comeback from the Nets it's like they are an upgraded version and Durant was healthy too along with Simmons. Yeah, more like the years of KD in the league is getting near and before he retires I think getting a ring is a thing for him once again.

Uncle Drew is indeed on a mission and this time he will be doing his best in the name of his daughter, and if I recall it correctly, Kyrie Irving said and promised to his daughter that he will straighten up and will be back much stronger this season. So far, as we can see, it's clear enough that he is playing impressively almost every game. Durant wasn't that loaded because he knows that Irving is also doing his best, and there's Ben Simmons who's also helping them and laying up the table for them.

Ja Morant do have some talent and I know he do know that fact but he is not yet there. Someday, we will see him what he is like on the peak of his prime and by that time, surely he will carry the whole team on his back. Although, from what I observed, his performance will likely get him some serious injuries.

I am observing the same with Ja Morant. He could be great but he needs to put in the work, prepare his body to be less injury prone. It is nice to see athletic players but too much might get him long-term injury. If he keeps at it, he might end up like D Rose.

Yes, exactly. Ja Morant might end up like Derrick Rose and become a less known player throughout the years because he can't do the same tricks and performance anymore. Ja Morant is a better version of D-Rose but that's still the same because a torn ACL will indeed give a player some nightmares. Only few who got out successfully, but their performance is never the same anymore. For that, Ja Morant should be extremely careful.

I like to see Ja as an upgraded version of AI and not to be a star who follows the fate of DRose. We all know what happened after
that bad injury, he's no longer the same DRose.

Ja' needs to work well with his athleticism, it's good to see someone who's working above and flying but he also needs to think that
bad injury will damage his entire career.

He just needed to adjust to his outside skills, more to break the defense with a good threat of his outside jumper.

As much as I wanted to see Ja as an upgraded version of AI, cannot really help but think that Ja is more like DRose when he was still a rookie and still agile doing stunts and postering somebody with his athleticism. It's not that I wanted to see Ja getting serious injuries like what DRose had because his future will be wasted, I believe that Ja already know that and somehow, he's investing on himself too to avoid serious injuries because of his performances.

I just voted today. I didn't pick some of the very best players. I picked those exciting and underdog players like Markannen, Clarkson, Sabonis, and Haliburton.  Cheesy

I voted for Clarkson also. Is there any site to see who got the number of votes? Like the stats of the starting line up of both teams? Or maybe it's still too early? no idea about this but if there's a stats, it would be nice to see them so we will be able to support our favorite player to get a chance to participate.

IMO, this is the best chance for Clarkson to be an all star, he already won a 6th man of the year award, getting to the all star is just another huge achievement in his career.

I cannot find in NBA official website or any other sites the voters ranking. You're probably right, it is still too early to make a ranking. Next month I project a ranking will be released. Clarkson and Markannen will probably enter the ranking since Utah will host next year's All-Star games. The voters' result though is only a small percentage because it is the panel that has the biggest percentage of who's playing in the All-Stars. Utah needs to win more games in order to convince the panelist that its stepping-up non-superstar roster deserved a spot or 2 in the coming All-Stars.

I guess that's the problem with Utah Jazz now, they are already in their tank mode with 2 straight losses and 4 wins only in the last 10 games. They need a win tomorrow so their win streak will not be extended, but the question is, can they do it against the Kings who had previously defeated the Nuggets in a big come back win?

I believe I just read that 9 of the Orland Magic players were suspended for their role in the bench clearing ncident with the Detroit Pistons. Personally I think the Pistons should have had more suspensions but they got lucky the incident happened on their bench. I can’t believe someone got knocked out and the guy only got a 3 game suspension while the knocked out guy’s teammates get suspended for coming to his defense to fish him off the floor. Orlando isn’t going to have a team for their next game…
Yes, something is wrong with how they implement their punishment regarding what happened with Hayes and Wagner. Sure, Wagner should be penalized for what he did, excessive, flagrant, intentional push, and then Hayes a lot more after he punched the back of the head of Wagner but about the other players, I don't see the reason why.
Quote
In addition, eight other Magic players — guards Cole Anthony, R.J. Hampton, Gary Harris and Kevon Harris, forwards Admiral Schofield and Franz Wagner, and centers Mo Bamba and Wendell Carter, Jr. — have each been suspended one game without pay for leaving the bench area during an on-court altercation.
https://www.nba.com/news/nba-announces-pistons-magic-suspensions
That's ridiculous. Then who would protect Wagner while he is being confined to the Pistons' bench? No security went and Stewart is holding him like a grappler until he went down when he lost consciousness.
I understand they want to make this a lesson for other teams but that's just too much on Magic's side.

Luka's quote with " I need a recovery beer" seems to be all over the internet right now and some of the fans already have t-shirts with it  Grin. Jokes aside now , Mavs are really playing great in the last month and another victory has been secured last night against Rockets and with this victory they have 7 wins in a row and 3 defeats in the last 10 games. I think play-offs are kinda locked in right now so let's see how far Luka can lead them this year.

Yeah, I think even basketball announcers are using that quote even if they are not covering Mavs game. If I'm not mistaken, I hear it last game between the Celtics and the Clippers. Probably playoff could be lock in, but who knows, still very early, we are not even half of the season yet. Maybe after the all star break we will see the pattern as who will be in the lower bracket  5-8 spot and who will fight it out in the play-in. For now, let's enjoy what Luka is displaying and showing to his fans and the whole NBA because it's one of a kind.

Yeah, perhaps the new coach has something to do with the current chemistry of the team. And it seems that the drama surrounding diva 1, Kyrie Irving has been settled and so it diva 2, Ben Simmons, comfortable on his position, sometimes he score more points and assists and then play good defense, and then games wherein he is not existent. But at least there are no more noises behind. However, they are winning so everything is good, but when they score losing again, for sure there will be finger pointing again. So we shouldn't sit with this one, the best test will come on the playoff and who will be their opponent. Still very far though, many things can happen.

Kevin Durant gets what he wanted and that might be one of the reasons why there's no more distraction on his mind and he's just playing basketball on his usual-self. Good to see those supposed headaches of the Nets are now working well together that seems nothing happened before.

Off-night performance though, if happened, is usual but what matters here is, the chemistry is really doing well.

Hopefully, the Nets will be able to keep up that good momentum for a long and more importantly, away from any injuries.

Didnt expect such a good number of results by Brooklyn Nets. They havent played good in years and now with both Durant and Irving doing big things and scoring like crazy we can expect from them to go really far this season if the injuries stay away.

It's because of the drama, and then they have a chance of coach, and no offense to Nash, by now we can say that he did a bad job. Perhaps he gives too much for this players, specially Kyrie who took control of own career while with the Nets. Although there are still chances that the Nets management might trade him if somewhat they are good this early but maybe they will choke in the playoffs, who knows and finally they will get rid of Kyrie.

He didn't get the respect of their players so we can say that he didn't do his job very well.

Maybe he should learn from nets and do better on the next team he handle, we also know he is good but I think that's not enough so maybe he need to study and learn from other coaches so that he can earn the respect from players and can make them follow on his plays and commands.

What do you guys still think though? again several weeks some are in the fence with Markannen performance, but now it seems that he is no hype, he is for real and probably the Jazz found a gem on him.

It's nice to see my Chicago Bulls actually starting to play a little bit better.  I'm curious what people think about the Bulls and why there's such a big difference between their start last year and this year.  I know that Ball started with the team last year, but when he was out they were still very good, so who's to blame for their slow start to the year, the coach or the players?

Good news is Ball is making some progress.

One of my favorite things about the NBA is that it's hard to know who will win the game. The Bucks are playing very well this year and to be honest I didn't think the Chicago Bulls would win this game. But this time they played very well and managed to win the match.
DeRozan did a great job and helped the team unbelievably with 42 points

Weird, the way I see it though, Orlando running to the defense of Wagner, so technically they have emptied their bench, which automatically means suspensions already. And obviously since the incident happen on the Pistons bench, so there is no 'emptying' of the bench but obviously 2 players from them was seeing throwing some elbows. But that's too bad for Orlando on their next game, they might as well defaulted it due to this incident. Doesn't make sense for the NBA to suspend 9 players though.

Looks like Uncle Drew is on a mission, when he comeback from the Nets it's like they are an upgraded version and Durant was healthy too along with Simmons. Yeah, more like the years of KD in the league is getting near and before he retires I think getting a ring is a thing for him once again.

He is on a mission to right his wrong he surely said it back then he regretted it when he leaves his previous team the Cleveland Cavaliers and back then he really feel sorry about that so right now he is redeeming himself and saying sorry that he does something like that and for Kevin Durant that recently wants to leave the Brooklyn Nets, I think he got his second thought about it and by seeing how Kyrie Irving has been doing and like Irving might have talked him out from leaving that is why this two have now combined their strength again to enter the play-offs,

Kyrie is not surprising at all, he is really good, even the last time they reach the ECF, if only he was not injured, Nets would easily beat the Bucks in that series. Kyrie and Durant needs to be healthy, they still have a chance for that championship, and Simmons will surely be happy if they will get one.

As long as he is focused Kyrie's is going to be unstoppable, look at that handles, but the thing is, sometimes he is inconsistent as well, sometimes he will just explode from the first quarter and finished scoring like 40 points to lead the Nets.

But there are games that he seems to be off night, shooting bad and that's why he has to be taken out. But Durant is always there and I think he is the only one who is consistent in the team that's why they are winning games and on a streak right now.

Yes! it was really a great season for the Nets if we look at their past season where Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving is making a hard time and struggling that is why the Celtics Sweep them back then, but this is a different time for the Nets it was really amazing progress for this team, even though their latest game almost made them kind of lost but it was a close game and in this game Hawks doesn't have Trae Young and De'Andre Hunter which is the main roster for the Hawks, I really think the Nets will eventually need a substitute for both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving they will like to get exhausted or gets injured, or this will surely continue if those two get healthy the entire game, I sure hope those two would net get injured the time the playoffs started,

Yes impressive streak after all the drama and toxicity around the team. It's probably the result of players being happy with their current system. I guess credit must be given to head coach Vaughn as well.

The Nets have been really impressive lately, and it looks like the new head coach is doing well, but I'm still skeptical about this team. The problem is that no one knows what will come to Irving's mind in the future. Don't get me wrong, Irving performs well at the moment, and he's a significant contributor to the Nets' wins. However, we should keep in mind that he did some irresponsible things before, and there is no guarantee he won't let his team down again.

Actually, that's because of their bad performance last playoffs and the drama that Simmons had created in the 76ers. But now, look at them, they had already adjusted and had develop a good chemistry, so most probably that will carry on until the playoffs which makes this team a championship contender again.
