I was wishing that the Alaska Aces should win with the match a while ago. Well, that's their farewell and last match. The former coach that was with them, Tim Cone was also there and watched their farewell match. A very sad moment for the Alaska franchise but that's it and they've already made a decision and has to move to what they're going to look at next. And it's exciting on which franchise is going to come in next in replacement of their exit.

That final buzzer for the Alaska team was full of emotion if you are an Alaska fan. Good thing that we have witnessed the end of Alaska's journey so we can tell our kids in the future what we have known of Alaska. Thank you, Alaska for the good memories you bring to the PBA and for those exciting games that we watched.

Hope the team will remain intact and will not turn into another farm team.

Not only to the bookies but also to the PBA, especially if it goes to game 7.

They say that the more games are played, the more money will come.

PBA struggles during the pandemic when the restriction was still high, so your speculation has a basis because it's their chance to maximize the profit they can get as we all know Ginebra brings a crowd and that means money for me. I've never seen Ginebra lose in a series if the crowd is in full support of them, so I wouldn't be surprised if they'll win another championship this season.
Many believed that the games are being paid so they can go for game 7 but I don’t believe on this, because this can ruin their reputation and no teams wants to lose the chance for the title anyway. There’s a big money if there’s a huge crowd, if its already allowed we can expect viewers to cheer for their teams.

It's not actually the team who will rig the game, that's too obvious.

Most of the speculation I read and saw always directs to the officiating because referees can control the game with their calls, even a slight wrong call might have a big impact on the game. Ever seen a game where you see one team is being favored by the refs while the others do not get the calls? That maybe is one of the rig games in sports.

However, these are not proven facts, until now, it remain as a speculation from the minds of the observant critics.

It’s so early to predict Ginebra and Meralco in the while in fact Magnolia and NLEX are very strong team in this season. I’m actually aiming one of this 2 team in the finals. Ginebra is indeed strong to sweep TNT but TNT import is not that good compare to other teams in the league. But as usual, Ginebra is always strong during Semis to Finals due to the amount of support they are getting from bandwagon pinoy and pinay fans.  Cheesy

Things have changed now to NLEX since they are playing with a new import. Ginebra can't match NLEX on their first meeting and Brownlee was the only one doing the job for Ginebra. With today's status, I think Ginebra can match NLEX in a series match and probably more chances for them to reach the Finals. Not predicting it early but who knows that while the replacement of McDaniels is continuing to just move forward, he will be able to replicate or maybe much better compare to McDaniels.

But what if a good turnaround happens and instead, we will see Meralco and NLEX in the Finals. It's something unusual as we always SMC on the Finals.

At least once every few conferences, we should see the Finals like that.

On the other side, what if both SMC will meet in the finals, the manila clasico is also one of those memorable match up.

and by how both Ginebra and Magnolia playing, they can dominate the game, both teams do have a healthy squad. They are very

familiar with each other, the rotations and the play making can easily execute. I'm not closing that chance to see both SMC in the

finals, top seeded Magnolia and a crowd favorite Ginebra,

In that case, I wouldn't expect the series to end early, they are sister teams so they can manipulate the result, probably we will see a game 7 and I believe that the crowd favorite will win.

Wow, i never thought that Ginebra would advance to the semis by defeating the TNT Katropa twice and it was not even a close game.

Scottie Thompson as usual did the damage for the Kings with his hustle and rebounding prowess hehe.

Congrats to all who back the Gin Kings to win and advance to the semis and hopefully to the Finals, seems like the PBA office is smiling at the moment as they expect gate revenues to skyrockets when the semis began.
Brownlee is a big factor here and I didn't expect Ginebra to be on the semis because of their poor performance on the elimination round but they prove something today and its good to see them back on a winning column. Semi finals are more intense if there's a Ginebra there looking forward for other teams but I'm sure Magnolia will also advance while NLEX has a better chance to win right now, let's see.
It's always Brownlee when he plays with the Gin Kings. He loves working with this team. They struggle back in the regular season but they still manage to climb and now they are back in the semis. It's a tough match, but for sure they will try harder to be back in the finals. PBA will take this advantage if ginebra will win this semis and advance to the finals, revenue for PBA will be very decent, fans will buy this one, watching in the live event is possible to be a jampack attendees.

Now we are in the Semi-Finals already and look at the match-ups. Meralco Vs. Magnolia and Ginebra Vs. NLEX.
Anything new? Again its MVP Vs. SMC in the Semis and in the Finals, we will see them fighting for the championship or worse we might see a SMC vs. SMC team or MVP vs. MVP team in the Finals which I hope will not happen. My team SMB didn't enter the semis but I will still watch.

Ginebra vs Meralco is what I want to see in the Finals. A repeat of their Finals match where Justin Brownlee is also the import for Ginebra. Meralco wants that revenge. It also seems good that different companies will face in the Finals, unlike the usual same company.

If only KJ McDaniels is there, we might see NLEX in the Finals. Ginebra lost badly on this team this conference with a healthy lineup. That's how strong KJ McDaniel is. Unfortunately, we won't see it right now but I hope NLEX will give a good match.
Ohhhh the Buzzer Beater of Brownlee against the import of Meralco at that time which is Allen Durham. That is one of the most memorable buzzer beaters in PBA history for me because that three gave them the championship. I watched that video just now and just look at the audience at that time. LINK If the Ginebra vs. Meralco match-up in the finals will happen again, I expect for the venue to be filled with Ginebra fans for sure.

With regards to KJ, he is for me the top pick for the best import of the conference but he chooses to go back because of his family which I think a reasonable one. I would like to see NLEX in Finals as well but I will go with Ginebra with this Smiley. I still believe that Brownlee can give Ginebra another title.

Meralco vs Ginebra in the Finals, would be a good Finals I guess. What do you think?

The last time I witnessed the Finals between Ginebra and Meralco, Durham was their import and I believe that the current import of Meralco is not better than Durham, so if they will face in the Finals, I'm sure Brownlee will take advantage of the match up.

TNT is actually a threat to Ginebra because we've seen their dedication this year. However, we can't deny the fact that Ginebra's fandom is also consistent and it's always been an advantage to them. It seems too early to conclude but I guess Ginebra will dominate and would be on finals again.

Well, I was kinda shocked as well but... it is what it is and as always Scottie Thompson delivered again as he almost got a triple double again. Unfortunately, the changing of imports of TNT might affect the chemistry of the team as a whole and he played awful as well because he only scored 14 points. 3 starters of Ginebra scored 20+ points. For sure, many people will watch again in the stadium because of Ginebra and because of that revenue really will skyrocket but the management needs it so... yeah congrats for Ginebra Smiley.

Also, bad decision for the TNT for changing their import in the do or die game, there's no chemistry been created yet so you cannot expect them to win. s
They don't want to do it but Fuller has an injury (calf I think) that is why they are forced to change their import. If only Fuller didn't get injured then they will not change their imports but nevertheless, I agree that there is no chemistry with the team because the whole roster didn't play against other team in the eliminations.

Anyway, I just sad to see Alaska loss to NLEX which makes this as their last match as a team, most probably someone will take over but for sure it will take more time before they reach a new team owner. Congrats to NLEX for advancing to the next round!

In the first place, everyone already expects that NLEX will win the series. Just a bonus that we see another game for Alaska for one last time. That's their final game and they will be surely missed. PBA is not complete with no Alaska on their list of teams and from now we should now be used to it.

The Quarterfinals are now over and we are now moving to the Semi-Finals.

All these 4 teams are tough and it's hard to select what team will advance to the Finals.
NLEX and MAGNOLIA really on a good position here but still, we can't be more complacent especially with Ginebra as their opponent.
Alaska will come back with their new team owner, there's still money here on PBA so most probably someone will buy that team and continue their legacy.

Its really hard to place a bet, I can't even think who will be the team to win the championship, everything has changed after the quarter finals, they are all doing their best.

Also, bad decision for the TNT for changing their import in the do or die game, there's no chemistry been created yet so you cannot expect them to win. s

How come it was a bad decision?

TNT's import suffers an injury and if they don't replace him, it would be TNT playing without an import in a Do Or Die game. Seriously do you want TNT to play without an import in a very important game? They are left with no choice but to hire another one. It's even hard to choose an import that is available right away to play.

They just lack what needs to win the game. Ginebra did a great job.
Let's just accept that Brownlee dominates the game, and he's a good import, this is just a bad luck for TNT having and injured player.
