Live betting is good if your team is down and they will come back to win the game.

IMO, live betting is only good if you are not keen on backing a team to win but if you are a fan then it is good to bet on a pre-live game odds because you might miss the opportunity to bet for them if you bet live.

Batang Piers -2.5 @1.86 vs FuelMasters, NorthPort really need this game for them to have a high morale going into the quarters.

Tomorrow we have Phoenix vs Northport, the winner will qualify in the quarter-finals but on a twice-to-beat disadvantage.

I'm still waiting for the odds to be available, but don't forget that the game will start at 6:30 PM tomorrow.
My initial thoughts, I will be betting on the under as it might be a defensive game, and going on the underdog.

Hoping that NP will be the underdog.

Odds are available at Stake: https://stake.com/sports/basketball/philippines/pba-governors-cup/42546760-phoenix-fuel-masters-batang-pier

Moneyline:
Phoenix @ 1.93
NorthPorth @ 1.78

Based on the odds given on Moneyline, bookies consider the game as close to being equal. The previous performance of NorthPort against the TNT overtime win a few days ago might play a role on these provided odds.

Pre-betting on handicap is also a tough choice as the line is so close. Maybe I will wait again on a Live Betting.

Thanks, I was checking on the other sportsbook, they don't have early betting odds but at least now I have an idea on the betting odds. Unfortunately, NP is not the underdog, so I might not bet on them unless I will bet on live betting.

For me, it's a tough choice especially in big games like this, so I would go for a pre game betting and enjoy the game with no worries.

We have our own preference, let's do what we are comfortable of.

Live betting is good if your team is down and they will come back to win the game.

What if the scenario is you are planning to bet on NP but you want an odds of at least 2.00, but in the game, they dominated the game and did not give the TNT a chance to even get close to them, so that's an opportunity missed by you. For me, it's a tough choice especially in big games like this, so I would go for a pre game betting and enjoy the game with no worries.

There’s always a pros and cons in both live betting and prematch betting. But live betting is always good for sports that has longtime duration since there’s a lot of possibilities that your preferred team will be behind by points in any quarter and you can choose a bet selection with a better odds and you have a lot of time to place it through out the game. You can based your pick on the current performance of the team unlike prematch betting that you are only relying on previous matches data and you don’t have a chance to change or cancel your bet once you notice that the team you are  betting is not in a good condition for that particular match.

Now that the eliminations are over here are the picture of the bracket

Now the NorthPort and Phoenix will fight for the final spot and it will happen after 2 days. Do you think that this will be enough for Artis to rest knowing that he played 53 minutes tonight??

The TNT vs Ginebra is a really good match-up to watch. For me, this is like a PBA Finals because Ginebra is a strong team and TNT were the champ last season, so I'm expecting to see a very close and entertaining quarterfinal. Import vs import, I think Ginebra has the edge, but on locals TNT has.
The odds on this match-up is different if only Pringle is playing but unfortunately he isn't that is why they are at the bottom spot of the playoffs.

I'm also going for TNT for this one not because of their import but because of their locals. Mikey Williams is just a monster when he got his rhythm and their import Fuller isn't a pure shooter like other imports but his rebounding skills are just insane and he always gets a double-double. Either way, anything can happen and we might see an upset here. First round it its MVP Vs. SMC already Cheesy.

On the other hand, I'm curious on how NLEX will play this time especially now that they have a different import coming playoffs.

An import has to contribute on both ends, most particularly in points and Brownlee dominated on that part. Well, it's not easy to decide but Ginebra were already good even before Pringle arrive and they have different players who can produce points. I'm expecting that Brownlee will take care of the business, he will carry this team so that they can compete very well with the TNT, and of course win the game.

I don't expect that any rebuilding would help them, maybe temporarily because Blackwater is just a farm team, once the bosses see a player that is carrying the team to get better, they would think of acquiring him or trade with a bunch of oldies which would only lead the team to another rebuilding. So it's a never-ending process for them as they cannot control their future.
Honestly, I've just saw some speculation that Paras will be traded. There's no confirmation yet and that's just the talk that I've seen in another community for PBA.
It's true that they're just a farm team and it's been so long that they've part of the league and who knows if the management gets serious and invests more for a better roster update for the next conference.

Never ending process due to the reason that the management itself is not really interested being competitive.

If they does, they should kept those players who help them but instead they traded players who have good future, not against

the decision of the players since it's good for them but the team, that's really something that confirmed that this franchise is just

for farming players and nothing else.
Well, all of those shows of meeting with the executive of the franchise together with their staff were all just plan in vain. There's really no seriousness of uplifting the team.
And with what they do, they're earning from the trades that they're going to commit because it's where they're making money instead of making the team great.

They won't become a competitive team since, in the first place, they don't have the ability to market a player for it. Because of that, rebuilding is the only way to be competitive. They trade good players to open up more cap space to open up a chance to land more new young players in the rebuilding.

Blackwater doesn't have any affiliated companies in the league therefore they are not a farm team.

Unless they are a secret farm team and doing the agreement under the table.

That's probably what we are talking about unless they are a secret farm. Well, Blackwater is not a popular team in the PBA, only the Ginebra, SMB, and TNT are the popular team, so we can say that the good players are going to this team and that is because they offer bigger salaries and bonuses that are under the table.

I think that's enough for him, besides, he got used to in playing heavy minutes prior to this game and you can tell he is still really active, just some bad decision sometimes but overall he is a quality import. Phoenix vs Northport, I'll choose Northport to win.

He scored 39 points, that's a very reliable import, compared to Fuller who only score 15 points, not even half of the production of the NP's import. What the NP needed is to keep their local play hard, especially their reserve who are not utilized well in this game. TNT had the edge in the OT because they were able to utilize their roster unlike the NP who let their starters played heavy minutes.

Fuller missed a lot of possession on the crucial overtime multiple times by not securing the rebound. TnT is just very lucky on that fight because most of there shot is successful during the OT while the rest of the Northport players is just throwing the ball without accuracy especially on the last 2 minutes of the game which they keep chasing the three points shot instead of attacking inside they don’t have accuracy anymore on the long range.

TNT will be a monster if Artis is there import. His talent is wasted on Northport imo.

First time to see the playoffs where the three MVP companies have a twice-to-beat advantage, seem like MVP will seize the crown for this conference.
Ginebra and SMB doesn’t have a twice to beat advantage since they are on the fifth and sixth position, which is not qualified for that advantage, only the top 4 teams will get that.

These MVP teams are doing great considering they are able to advance to the quarter finals though SMB and Ginebra is on a bad position here compare to Magnolia, they have to exert more effort so they can win against the power teams. With Ginebra, I still believe that they can defeat TNT this is just like the finals before and maybe a great time for Ginebra to bounce back.
They don’t have the advantage but still they have to do everything to win.
Though maybe this is a different era now, where the top teams of MVP is on the lower position, this gives good exposure to other teams. I know many are Ginebra fans here, but we cannot deny that other teams are doing great as a team and didn’t depend so much on their import.

I have to change the side for now and will go for TNT this time, can’t wait to see them playing again.

Congratulations on that win, great parlay.

Too early to tell, Ginebra is still the team to beat for me, as long as they have Brownlee being a dominant import, I believe they will survive and could beat their opponent.  In that case, I would be betting on the Gin Kings against the TNT, at least in the first game just to be safe.  Smiley

Who's watching the Northport vs TNT game?

This game is very intense, very close and I believe either team could win this game.
Have you put your bet on this game?

May I know what's the spread or the betting odds of this game?

That was intense indeed, I thought Batang Pier would advance into the playoffs with a 6 game winning streak.

Pre-game odds for that game were TNT 1.39, NorthPort 2.85, the spread was 5.5 so you still won that game if you bet for NorthPort with the handicap.

Seldom do a parlay, fortunately, it won hehe.

With the performance of Ginebra during the elimination round, I think TNT has a better chance of winning here though let’s see if Ginebra will do better this time. Magnolia is still on a better position, this can be a sure win for them but I still expect some loss for them, Most probably they’ll play on the finals and this season is very exciting.
All the standing before are being erased already, we are now on the second round so technically a lot of adjustments can still happen and maybe this is just a strategy of Ginebra to play at the bottom so they can match not the top team, let’s see this in the coming days because I still believe on Ginebra.
