Big trade news for PBA fanatics.
Standhardinger was traded for Moala Tautuaa and he is not part of the SMB now but on his new team Globatport.

but let's discuss this.
Why on earth did SMB trade Standhardinger? Let's dig deeper

Who do you think will benefit on this trade, stand or mo?

It's the followers of the PBA that will benefit from this blockbuster and shocking trade  Smiley and of course the two players involve will benefit also from this trade. CStand will have all the minutes he wants while Mo will have his championship rings as much as he wants lol.

They never mentioned in the article that SMB will get also a future draft pick from NorthPort which is the intriguing aspect of the trade, maybe SMB had already someone in sight in the future drafting.
SMB knows how to take advantage as always. Tau + the future pick is more enough to keep the solid lineup.

This trade will bring good minutes for CStan as he really deserve those quality minutes inside the court, being a good player doesn't mean that you should stay with your comfort zone, now that he's been traded he can showcase what he can share to his new team, just hope that the coaching staff of Batang Pier will maximize his presence and create good plays for him.

They have a solid line up already, I think that move is like a downgrade of the team and they know despite of that, they are still the best team in the PBA. Prior to arrival of C stand, they have been winning championships already and as long as they have June Mar, they will remain the best team in the PBA in any conference.

They never mentioned in the article that SMB will get also a future draft pick from NorthPort which is the intriguing aspect of the trade, maybe SMB had already someone in sight in the future drafting.

That's probably one of the reasons, they are looking for a player that would fill up the position they really need the most.
Stand is not young anymore but he can't be a shadow of Fajardo forever as I am sure Fajardo will still play with the SMB for years since he is still 29 years old and he is still playing what is expected to him.

Anyway, let's talk about the games today.

DYIP is +4.5 vs NLEX.. going with the underdog on this game, both ML and point spread.

Blackwater vs Magnolia +1.5... I will bet live on this game, if the Magnolia's import will not play, might be going against them.  Grin

DYIP might win this game if they can maximize their imports game. Also Perez is the key for them to win, hopefully he is not in an off night game today.

I guess its for Stand, because he had a good attitude on his playing career and performance wise everything went so amazing. Although sometimes they lost in the game, but it doesn't mean he's not worth for his efforts. Even if he was traded with Mo, Stand will have more new opportunities with other prospected teams who could hire him. I think he's a big lost for SMB, and they've made the wrong decision of choosing Mo.

We have a great game tonight between the SMB and the Ginebra, and the first half is already over with a score of 5-71 (ginebra leading).
Remember that SMB is still undefeated and they are a team that could go back even with big deficit.
However, I think I am going against with the SMB tonight as the line movement prior to the game favors the Ginebra.

In play line now. SMB +7.5,, I am going against them and taking the - points for the Ginebra here.
I have a feeling this will end a double digit win by the Ginebra.

I'm going with RainOrShine now since the odds is quite good.
OMG! Anyone saw that finish by PHOENIX? It should be an overtime but WTF?
What a finish by Garcia with the assist of Phelps. That was incredible. A very sad defeat for Rain Or Shine, they manage to tied the game with the score of 84 all at almost 2 seconds left.
Well, it's okay. Well played for both teams. Rain or Shine did their best tonight, I'll be more looking forward on this team, need more improvements on their defense and 3-point shootings.

I was not able to bet tonight but sorry for you loss mate, better luck next time as we gamblers never stop just to win.

The second game between the TNT and Northport, I think if I was able to bet,  would go with the TNT as they have  been rolling lately and though I am not aware of the 2nd game handicap but I'm pretty sure  Northport covered here.

The first game between North Port and TNT. TNT won the game 100-103. TNT remains undefeated in 5 games while North Port went down to 1-4 and they are 2nd to the last in the standings.

The second game is between Rain or Shine and Phoenix Pulse. I though the game will go to an overtime but their import Phelps see an open man and put a buzzer beater to win the game 86-84. Phoenix are now 2-4 while ROS are now 1-4.

What a game. Both of them are close. Your thoughts about the game those who watched Cheesy.

We can also consider the money factor that's why I'm confident that this punishment of indefinite suspension will be over soon.
Abueva is my top 10 players in the PBA actually, and he proved he is a star player since he also played for the Gilas Pilipinas which during his time they were able to compete really well, and Abueva is not afraid of a bigger man in the international competition.

he is really important both in PBA and in the Gilas Team.
YOU GOT IT ALL RIGHT! If you don't know in Gilas vs China I forgot the year but he destroyed and gave a limit to China's center's offense. He's an important piece in Gilas while Yeng Guiao didn't even gave him a chance to play. But, what's done is done.

One thing that I don't like to him is his attitudes inside the court.

I guess after his suspension, he can learn how to control his attitude inside the court to avoid every ejection he could get if his attitude will never change.

Flash with odds update of the current game, RAIN or SHINE vs PHOENIX FUEL MASTERS.

I'm going with RainOrShine now since the odds is quite good. What I noticed on the Phoenix is their import is really hyper/greedy especially he is already in foul trouble, 3 fouls in first half is not good.
I also noticed in Elasto Painters is they have teamwork, they are not totally relying on their import, local players are really working hard.
Btw, about the fragrant 2 foul on Belga is good, since he was ejected in the game, Rain or Shine team started to fired up.

Yeah this is what I'm talking about, it's too big. But, if the Commissioner trying to protect the reputation of the PBA, he is losing the money of the PBA. Many Filipino dislikes Calvin but many people likes him.

Abueva is a star in his own way. His relentless in giving his all every game is what makes him a star and what gives his opponents headaches whenever they are matched up against him. I hope his suspension will be over the soonest possible time.

He's capable of providing boost to his fellow players and  his addition of talents to the entire league is not the question for Abueva, only his attitude that
really a matter here.

Though if he can changed up and make a good comeback it will bring publicity for the league. Prospering with controlling attitude
problem of the players and let the sanctions be learned by all the players and teams that there's no one above the league of governors.

I also like him and I like how he plays in the court. He is called "The Beast" for a reason Cheesy.

One thing that I don't like to him is his attitudes inside the court. Yes he is popular not only because he is a star player but his attitudes inside the court but sometimes he can't control it and some of the players are counter reacting with his attitudes like what happened to him which causes him the suspension. I agree that he is a very important player in both PBA and Gilas but I hope that his attitudes will change or at least lessen when he comes back again.

That should be the best thing he has to improve when he comes back.
If he will not, he is like throwing his career which he could receive a good amount of money as per his contract.
he might not be a top earner in terms of salary, but his salary is big enough for him to prepare for his life after NBA, like other players who have business to manage after they retire, I am hoping the best for him.

he is really important both in PBA and in the Gilas Team.

I agree with that, and this is measured with their salary.
With this article- https://fastbreak.com.ph/calvin-abueva-inks-3-year-extension-with-phoenix/..Abueva will be receving a salary of 400k/month.

From the article on the above link
Quote
Phoenix Fuel Masters will enjoy the services of Calvin Abueva for a long time.

According to Alternate Governor Raymond Zorilla, ‘The Beast’ signed a lucrative 3-year/P15.1 million extension deal with Phoenix last week. Abueva will still receive a maximum salary of P400,000/month.

The 6-foot-1 forward’s previous deal with his former team, Alaska Aces, is set to expire on Friday.

Abueva has averaged 14.0 points and 9.25 rebounds in just three games for the Fuel Masters.
