[snip]

Just when it comes to PBA issues especially the Semi-finals and Championship Games, there is an increasing number of spinning ending called to us and to which betting team who will win, and I have been a fan of Beermen for decades. Samboy Lim, Fernandez and others are still playing Norman Black.
Mate it seem you're a little bit late on the recent happenings in PBA huh Grin. I would like to inform you, just in case you are not aware, that Governor's Cup is already on going so I don't see any reason for you to bring this up. Anyway, have a good day you and I hope you keep yourself updated on the latest news inside or outside the crypto sphere Smiley.

I believe we have a lot of gamblers in the forum who loves Philippines Basketball particularly PBA, that's why I'm bringing this outside the local.

SMB vs TNT - TNT lead the series at 2-1

What do you think about this series, which team is good to bet?

What happen to the Ginebra San Miguel? They are down in the first quarter, its 41-24 Phoenix leading the game.
Is there any chance that they will come back and win this game?
What a nearmiss!! I thought Tenorio's 3 point shot on the last 2 min. mark can change their fate but it's not. Well, at least thy abe to minimize the lead of Phoenix from double digit to few points. However, it was not enough! I can see the frustration on Tim Cone's face during their game and while going to the dugout.

Going on Ginebra's last play, for me Anton del Rosario did a great plan and it was well executed too. What I think happened is just that Brownlee made an error which is understandabe tho because of the long range from the ring. That's really a tough shot.

What do you think, taking them ML in live betting is a good idea?
They are only 3.35 now ML, I think its not worth it.

2nd game, Im going with the hotshots here although I have to take the -5.5 to get 2.00 odds, they lost their first game and they are the defending champion, I think they will bounce back stronger now and will win this game with double digit.

Good luck to me... Grin

Nice pick you got there, -5.5 is like a sure win now.
Northport lead in the first quarter but they only manage to score 8 points in the 2nd quarter while the hotshots scored 37 points.
This kind of team will not take it easy even in the 2nd half so I expect they will win 20+ points in his game.

The Hotshots won 96-80, if you bet live on that game there are that market of +20 for North Port which is very tempting to take (which i did) because every team won't allow a big margin because it might lead to complications in case of a triple tie. Fortunately for me my gamble paid off as the Hotshots lead only by 16.

Todays game is between the TNT Katropa and Rain or Shine, though Rain or Shine is very underdog here but still i will go for them but with a handicap, Rain or Shine +7.5 2.05 odds. Good luck to us...

Meanwhile here is an article from my favorite bisdak sports writer based in Chicago.

I have this question in my mind. Do calvin abueva regret everything he has done for? like it went start to his wife in calvin abueva instagram hurting his wife. Then, occasionally lots of bad news and bad actions came from calvin.

It’s kinda hurtful, lot’s of regretful (for me) what he did.

It's kind of regretful but as he is now, he has made his decisions and that's what make him what he is now. But as far as his sanctions from his recent actions, I think it's better to give this man a chance. I mean the sanction is too much since he is just retaliating what Jones has done to him.

If we talks for fairly judgement from what PBA commissioners cup given the suspension for calvin abueva. I agreed that its better to give calvin a chance to get play again in PBA. He got a suspension where the PBA commissioners cup says “ A definitely suspension” means like applying a job, where they will said at the end of your interview to call you later... knowing that there is no set of date for your being suspended where its either no chance for calvin to play again or there is.
I like to correct you a bit, it's actually called "indefinite suspension" where there is no given date on which he will be allowed to play again.
A player can also make his indefinite leave but that is his discretion, this penalty that was imposed to him is a management will, meaning they are the only one who knows when this will end. Actually its better to get suspended with definite time so you know when you will return and you can prepare for it.

Quote
Aside from the indefinite suspension, Abueva has also been fined P50,000 for the flagrant foul penalty 2 on Terrence Jones, and P20,000 for engaging with a fan in a verbal altercation

It almost felt like yeng guiao was just preparing keifer for the pba season during the fiba world cup lol.
But that preparation has cost the team since we never have a single win during the FIBA world cup, yeng being the head coach was being bias and get his man who was not active in the PBA that time, if they would have get Terrence Romeo, its gonna be a more improve Gilas 2.0 which is not really an upgrade.  Tongue

We have 2 games for today, let's analyze the line early so we can get a good value here.

NLEX vs Meralco Both. Favorites here is the Meralco bolts at -4.5, but I'm not betting my money on them, I like the NLEX here, they also have a good import and Ravena is back, so they might be a different team in this conference.

I'm with NLEX over Bolts in terms of overall lineup firepower but just a bit especially that Kiefer is back, however, let's not forget what Meralco did to the current defending champion Magnolia Hotshots during their opener. I will not take the reason that it's just a first game why the defending champ loss.

Talking about the lines, I can't comment much about the score spread since we have only a few references since the conference just start. But if we take a look at those only single game as a reference, Meralco's -4.5 seems to be the closest thing that can happen, "at least". Don't want to take NLEX past game as a reference because that game is more of a deciding game since Phoenix is not performing well, as always.

I'd rather skip the handicap but instead go for ML on this match.

Winner, you predicted it right, NLEX were in double digit lead in the 3rd quarter and Bolts are trying to make a run but they fell short as they committed a lot of mistakes. With Ravena, they have a good start now at 2-0 and I really like the ball movement now, there's no hesitation and even the big man can shoot 3s.

Good for them. The exposure this kid got from his recent gilas stint proved to be a wise move for his current coach now.  It almost felt like yeng guiao was just preparing keifer for the pba season during the fiba world cup lol. It's just the start of the season and 2-0 is nothing in conference like this. Let's see how long cyg can keep this up.

But they allowed him to join their practice, with this kind action, they are showing signs that they are not getting rid of abueva and they even have no plans of trading him. If import like Renaldo Balkman that was ban in the NBA for a years were given a chance to come back and play with the SMB in the previous season, I think the PBA management could give a little consideration to our own, and IIRC Renaldo Balkman ban was permanent ban but was lifted by the organization.

Out of good gesture, maybe that's the reason why the commissioner allowed Calvin to joined the team for practice. With so many controversies involving Calvin i think this time the commissioner will prolong his suspension to the point where he would beg for pardon and apologizes for what he have done (Calvin seems to me is unapologetic) in order to get back to the PBA. The PBA had already given him a lot of chances, i remembered that he vanished for weeks/months without notice when he is still with Alaska.

GAB 's eyes are on him, maybe one or a couple of controversy involving him, we could see an exit of Calvin in the PBA, hope it won't happen.

I think this one is reliable, so we can celebrate early.
There is nothing to celebrate yet. The PBA Commissioner was kind enough that he granted Calvin to practice upon his request because he is getting out of shape. It's no where near an approal that he will be allowed to play again. Maybe in the next conference  Cheesy

I'm quoting this from another article posted earlier https://tv5.espn.com/basketball/pba/story/_/id/27703991/abueva-returns-practice-phoenix
Quote
Though PBA commissioner Willie Marcial approved Abueva's request to return to practice, Abueva doesn't expect to return to the court any time soon.

Quote
He told me, 'Commissioner, I'm gaining weight. Maybe you could allow me.' I said sure, he can practice but he can't play in any tune-ups or anything. Just practice. Get in condition," Marcial said. "But him being allowed to practice doesn't mean he's allowed to come back. This is still going to be a long discussion.

Lol, Calvin Abueva's return to the PBA will take a long time if ever he will return and let's hope that the Games and Amusement Board won't get in the way after that news involving Calvin beating his wife. That is a very serious accusation that could make Calvin be ban forever in the PBA.

Phoenix Fuel Master must forget now that they have Calvin Abueva and learn to live without him, he might be a important piece on their team but he is also a liability because of his volatile attitude.

At least there's some improvement, if he continue to show some changes of his attitude, he might be able to play again.
He is not expecting that he will return soon but the commissioner is just observing him, they are in a business and fans would always want to see the "beast" in the court so for sure they will allow him to play soon, it's been too long of waiting already.

I know you all miss Calvin Abueva, it looks like he will be back soon as he is already allowed to join the practice with his team.
We have some article here, I think this one is reliable, so we can celebrate early.

That's a good news, so its expected that he will back again this conference, I wonder who's import he will hit again, lol..just kidding.
Anyway, with the way his team perform, it seems like they lack some good energy and that is the masterpiece of Calvin, so his team badly needed him.
