Good luck all. 17 registered so almost 2 full tables.

Welcome to an SWC reg joining us for the first time @kolloh

Should be a good time, not sure what happened to me at he start but I had to reload the App to take my seat

No problem on this as Im asking this question in general to the other swc tournaments as well, is there any way to check on who won the previous tournament? I mean all other existed tournaments and the winners  Smiley. I usually keep my window open even if I have been knocked out but for some reason last week I closed it
I'm noton the desktop client to double check what info you get but here was a response from SWC previously along the same vein

Tournament history is available when playing on the desktop client by selecting Hand History from the Game menu in the toolbar.

I stand with Ukraine.
Only 5 of us so far registered. What is up with all those last minute registrations? Just remember there is no late registrations this time around so... I like to book my place early and then I try to arrange the day around the poker as best I can. I failed miserably last 2 times but this Sunday looks promising so far

It's 14 already, and I'm sure several more will register later.

400 chips sent to youcantwin:

Registration done.

Let's play good poker today, all! Smiley

Is there a way for me to check on previous tournament I have joined to check on who won the game? Cant seems to find it

I normally more or less live-update the sheet during the tournament, but last Sunday I left after I was eliminated, sorry. In general you can just check the "Screenshots" tab in the sheet to quickly check the results. Or, if you play with the client, you can just leave the tournament lobby window open and check the result when you come back.

Sometimes I might not be able to play for the day, thats the reason why I usually are late and thats why I dont register that early Tongue but I will be able to play for today, going to register once I got home . See you on the table  Wink

I am in for tomorrow, but I haven't learned anything more this week lol

I saw you getting involved with a lot of marginal hands in the last tournament and losing some chips here, some chips there, which then adds up to you being short-stack soon. I would recommend to stick with premium-ish hands while you are still in the learning phase, which you seemed to do better in first tournament - you always need some luck as well of course. And accept that you are beat, even when you had a premium starting hand - the very good players are able to make huge laydowns, although it hurts. Let your winners run and cut your losses short they say in betting; so the advanced players have kind of mastered the art of losing few while being beat and winning a lot when things to their way.

If you are trying your luck too much with marginal hands, the better players will always eat you alive. Playing more tight requires some discipline and patience, and this is not everyone's strength and bores the hell out of some people, but for beginners it's the better approach imo, although others might disagree.

I am making my move! But I need chips to borrow.
Can anyone give me 1000 chips? I do not have access of my regular wallet for few days. Once I have it then I will send you back the chips. I sucked up all the winnings from last week including my own LOL

Please confirm here so that I do not end up getting the chips from more than one person.

Thanks guys, see you on the table.

I am ready for tomorrow, even thou I will play from work! It will be a tricky to play on phone, but it will not be the first time! Smiley
Welcome to the dark side. Our employers would be so proud  Tongue

I'll be shipping chips and registering this evening, and barring any plant issues it should be a smooth afternoon. Fingers crossed we'll see 1 or 2 SWC regs there tomorrow. I've been chatting with a few and the interest seems to be growing but that only matters if they  show up and get sucked in.

Bounties galore can't wait here's to hoping I can pick one up. I've been playing a few bounty tournaments lately and they get so crazy. Love the idea of the mystery bounty should help keep peoples play somewhat standard.

The tournament is hosted by SWC and all relevant information for registering and buy-in is in the OP

General Information & Series Structure

The Bitcointalk Poker Series sponsored by SwC Poker can be joined by any interested poker player with a Bitcointalk account. If you don't have a Bitcointalk account yet, feel free to make one. We would be happy, if you engage in discussions about the series and/or Poker, but it's not mandatory. We welcome players of any skill level, any age, any gender, any colour. The tournaments will be played on Sundays 5PM GMT.

The series will feature 8 qualifier tournaments, a Grand Final, a Small Final, a lottery and hopefully lots of fun and suckouts. There is an internal points structure, where you accumulate points to qualify for the Grand Final. Every participation will also give you tickets to the lottery. If you are a regular player, you will automatically qualify for the Small Final.

We play Texas No Limit Hold'em, the starting stacks are 5,000 chips, blind levels are 10 minutes and there is no late registration available.

You might also want to join the Bitcointalk Poker Community Server on Discord: Join here.

The first two series:
Series #1
Series #2

Entry Fees & Passwords

The entry fee per tournament is 1,400 Chips or 0.0014 BTC.
1,000 chips you pay for registering for the tournaments directly at SwC.
400 chips you send to the SwC account "youcantwin" via P2P transfer. 200 of those chips go towards the prize pool for the Grand Final, the other 200 chips towards the lottery.

There are no entry fees for the Grand Final and the Small Final.

The tournaments are password protected, you will get the passwords via Personal Message (PM) in this forum, after you have sent the 400 chips per tournament to youcantwin. If you intend to join all 8 qualifier tournaments, it would be helpful, if you send all extra fees (3,200 chips) upfront.

@efialitis Sorry I missed you on Discord the other week. In the future it's easier to reach me through forum PM for anything. Feel free to reach out anytime.

How is everyone doing? All ready for tomorrow's 3rd game of this series?!

I am in a good mood - we are going to have a big Greek fiesta tonight with family and friends and I guess I will be pretty much f***** tomorrow after all that wine and ouzo... So what better than having two mystery bounties tomorrow worth 2.5 k Chips each! Will be picked randomly right after registration ends and announced after the game.

See you tomorrow!

you're the man, @efi! may your godlike betting streak continue! Cheesy

I slipped out of the top 9 already.   Smiley

no big deal. anything can happen with 6 games to go.

The most persistent and consistent player despite having bad start imo is FOMA. Maybe some others as well but I am on the same table with FOMA most of the time so I know how he play most of the time. You should check on how he usually turn everything back despite having bad start and low chips
FOMA is in a league of his own when it comes to coming back from low chip stack. He has done it so many times that it is certainly not a fluke. When I get that low I start to risk more and go ALL IN on all kinds of cards, which gets me back into the game maybe 2 times out of 10 tries. I just don't have the patience. He is doing just the opposite and then strikes when the conditions are perfect. Respect FOMA

patience certainly pays off for me sometimes, but it's too bad these come from behind plays don't work so well for collecting KO bounties. Cheesy

i'll be registering shortly. see everyone tomorrow!

Foma and Sy are pro's! Smiley Check their topic about poker, and what kind of discussions they have there! Their analyses are great, anyone can check and try to implement that in live games. Of course, it's harder than it sounds, like everything else in life!

Chips sent to Efi, and already registered for the game! I am ready for tomorrow, even thou I will play from work! It will be a tricky to play on phone, but it will not be the first time! Smiley

So jealous sounds great to be with some friends and family. Enjoy the party.

This is just my personal opinion and Im not a pro like the others but since you have been interested to improve better then I figure that I would let you know some of my opinion  Smiley

On 1st qualifier, you have done incredibly well compared with your performance on the 2nd series

On 2nd qualifer, You lose alot of chips early and that makes you seems a little bit desperate to win back your chips which also make it seems like you were kinda predictable. This of course is just my personal opinion

Have fun on the party man and thanks for sponsoring mystery bounties. Congrats on your ticket I saw it as well, you are really killing it lately.

What is the count so far? I am on my mobile so can't check it myself. Already registered for this week and looking forward to seeing you all on the tables. This should be another interesting game and I am expecting at least 2 tables. It is about time for me to play one serious game and get some points. Last 2 tournaments I had guests over and couldn't concentrate properly but this time everything should be fine.
