Sooo ughh...  How 'bout dat launch?

Edit:from my chat in IRC it appears the first post has a typo in it.  The launch date is ((dd/mm/yyyy) 01.03.2014 12:00(pm) Noon GMT-6) not 12:00(am) Midnight GMT-6.   Grin Grin Grin

Our admin is always awake! Not really, but we do try to respond to users and resolve issues as quickly as possible.
Our pools run on Enterprise-grade, fully redundant dedicated servers. Both our website and our high difficulty stratum ports are DDOS-protected.

The idea behind 365Coin is that there is a steady flow of a set amount of coins, for a long period of time, without the uncertainty and gimmickry of random rewards, halving, etc. Hopefully this will make trading and using the coin more straightforward, as we hope it will aid stability when it comes to the coin's value.
It won't, it will just provide a steadily decreasing value, like it's happening with maxcoin currently.

I see a mostly fair launch poised here, but one additional thing that can be done to prevent ANY sort of instamine, is by making a period of "micro reward" blocks. A few coins have done this and it is regarded highly. Even the instaminers get very little advantage, and gives pools time to stabilize. Some thing on order of 90 blocks, or 1.5 hours at 0.00000069. and then block 91 could catch the chain back up to your target block reward per day. This doubles as incentive to mine, as it is a lucky winner block, with plenty of chance to be in the running.

Question: Any reason you chose to not include something like this?

It's an idea that we had overlooked, but something we are now debating. If we can make it part of the launch, we will. We had hoped that using KGW difficulty retargeting would negate most instamining, but we'd love to take further steps to avoid it if we can.

Question: Other than using Keccak, why do you feel 365coin is a superior option to these already in the market?

Another kekkak coin! I love SHA3, it's a lot easier on my poor GPU.
Hopefully it has success. Which exchange will be available at the beginning?

Could someone point me to a guide for Keccak mining using R9 290 cards (or a general page for that matter).

Would like to get this figured out for the launch tomorrow Smiley

Thanks in advance

This sounds like a good idea, would be great if the dev has time to implement this before launching.
