Okay so pretty new to the mining thing. I have an S3+ and an S3. Looking at the installed packages, my S3+ is running cgminer 3.12.0-1 and my S3 is running 4.6.1-1. I there is a downloadable for an upgrade of cgminer and was wondering if there was any upside to doing it? Any advice would be appreciated. Also some idea of how to install if needed would be good. Have tried the Find Package option on the Software page but it does little. The update lists returns an error too.
Any advice of guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Clouds have faded away and the 89949%(00:00:24 duration) block was confirmed, lets hope another storm doesn't roll through. 
I've always wondered how that works for blocks that take around a minute or less after the previously found block.

...If Peckerete engaged in a meaningful manner it would have been a great conversation with implications for all. Hard numbers and statistics vs a different school of thought. Two people spend spend $1,000 on a rig, $300 in electricity, to earn $500 worth of BTC. The first person looks at the charts for the last four years and knows the costs, risks of that BTC losing 90% in a day if the system collapses, but sees a slim chance BTC will ever trade over $500 again and goes for the ride. Then you have have Peckerete stating you have to "believe in the system to get rich!" If I can prevent one person from falling for that hyperbole it is a good day.

Shutdown 2 of my S1's at the start of the month
. Had 4, gave one to a friend, other one is still hasing away , it keeps me warm lol, legit I am in Canada.
Anyone else use Bitmain miners? I am grabbing two S5's for sure when they come out!!

I use an S1 and 3 r-box 34gh miners. I like mine too!

wow worst day ever at slush 1 day 4 hours after a 8 hour invalid block on top of it ugh.... 36hrs no profits and 1 day electric bill cant do it anymore slush, cant afford to mine for free!!!!! outta here
