I undeestand that this pool is the long therm kind... But When my 2 x s1 (2x200gh) makes 0.002 on ghash over Night and my other 2 x s3 (2 x 450 gh) makes an "Estimated reward for current round" on 0.0024 i start thinking... Now i put 2x s1 more op at ghash so the ghash is the same on both .. And then i Can reelle see if this is the Right plase .. But as i understand it the pay out will go up sometime in here

Yep...difficulty just went up. It should balance out soon enough thogh I'd imagine another Ph/s or two would do wonders about now.

My how much slush has grown!

This spring we were pushing around 3 Ph/s and today (currently) we are at a whopping 6.8 Ph/s!!

^ Honestly Bozo, I'm thinking it's to the point where in the near future I'll under volt/under clock what I have now, see what the amp draw is, then add more uv/uc machines to my safe max amps(11.75a) and hope the big rise in price starts next year.

We will have to come out with something new. We had to go from cpu - gpu - fpga - asic and original network - getwork network - stratum proxy. Hopefully some of the genius thinkers/programmers/engineers around here will be able to save us. That problably won't happen until it starts hitting their pockets first.

I agree that trading, not just hoarding is a must now days to make it. Buying and selling is what makes the network anyway. I'm planning on buying next week when it goes down to $430.

I have been following your posts and think you are one of the smarter guys around here. But let me ask you a question...how long can you play the game of adding machines (hash power) to your system to offset diff. increases? There has to be a limit to that and by constantly investing more and more into mining when will the actual, real, objective payoff come?

At the current exchange rate, if you are that bullish on BTC you are better off just buying coin and holding while saving on electric it, supplies, shipping, etc.

The answer to that is not so simple. First of all you should find out all there is to know about the various types of pools. Your question is just like me asking total strangers if I should learn to play the saxophone or whats the best car. See what I mean? Why would/should you believe what anybody here incl. me tells you. You have to be responsible for your own actions...mining and everything else as well.

Slushs Pool is like a roller coaster, high highs and low lows, but over a long period I make more BTC here. Other pools can pay out small amounts somewhat steady every day but the block rewards are much greater here.

It now takes 2.5th to get 0.01 payout per BLOCK on slushes pool. Slushs Pool has 0-12 blocks a day, but averages 4-5blocks over time. I was running 4.5th(2.25th per rig) here to get 0.02 per BLOCK, now I've bumped it up to 5th to keep my total payout per BLOCK the same.

The other pool I mine on has pplns payout so I keep my DAILY payout at 0.02. Ive had to add about the same ratio in ghs to keep a 0.02 payout per DAY at BTCguild. It now takes 1.25th there to get the 0.02 per DAY payout. It was only taking 1.1th before.

Keeping my payouts at a certain amount by adding ghs(most of the time small, sometimes large) has worked very well for me. I also have some hosted miners, but I use a slightly different strategy with those.

Dividing your has rate between two or more pools is called varience and helps on days when our luck is down here. (Don't leave all your eggs in one basket type of thing)

Note: Pool hopping doesn't work. Everyone tries it at first only to realize that pool software is designed to make you loose profits while switching between pools. If pool hopping actually worked we would all be doing it. This is a score based pool but most are pplns and have even greater stops built in for cheating.

I bet if you give it a couple of weeks you won't even think about the other two. We have really good days and days like today but when you average out a month or so it is usually always higher than it would have been anywhere else.
Take in consideration the excitement of those really good days where we knock out 8+ blocks and it is hard to beat.

Current shares CDF - works slower if it goes for longer hours. For instance in first 1h it gets to mostly 20% after that it goes slower... why is that?
Performance of pool is fluctuating, but not dropping every time even if block is long.

it varies. generally with slush u will earn slightly more than other pools. but u can also earn 0 from a 24 hour block happening!
but it ALWAYS averages out in favor of slush...

so if u r not a fan of math then Slush is not the place as u will insist the results are wrong when they are not.
