when are we do for another difficulty change? Huh
On Saturday afternoon most probably.

Network hashrate dropped significantly today and average between blocks is back up to 9.5 minutes or so.  I guess I would be surprised if the diff went up on Sat, but what do I know.

You have a good analytical mind - don't put yourself down,

K.

Of course now the network hashrate is climbing again (it was 140,000 GH/s earlier and now 160,000 GH/s) and time between blocks is down to almost 8.5 minutes.  I am curious about the large fluctuations in the total network hashrate. I mean 20,000 GH/s is the size of Slush's entire pool, how does that much compute power come and go so quickly?  Its like someone with 40 BFL Mini Rigs is dropping in and out of the network.  If I was in charge of $900,000 worth of equipment that generates sooo much  that a few seconds down can cost $1000s or $10,000s of dollars, I would make sure as
#!&| that the systems didnt go down.

there was talk on another thread that ASICminer was turning large numbers of rigs off and on

Cry  My internet picked a good time to puke out on me.  It went down 3 minutes before we found the block.  I wonder what I can get for 0.00000006 bitcoins?

I don't mind the bad luck, as it suggests a lucky strike is imminent - it has to even out some how Grin.

But when the luck turns its more kind face to us again, difficulty may be somewhere else than it is today, so no chance to even out.

Quit it with the negative vibe dood, lol Cheesy

No seriously, we have bad times, we have good times - that's what you get in a game of odds.

K.

Only two blocks below one hour in last 24 hours... I wonder whether the one day luck drops under 50 % when current round ends. :-)
Yes, I still remember the 11+ hour block... :-)
Well, looking forward to the bright days comming. ;-)

The 11+ hour round was when i got my first GC for mining, i've just got another and this...

How could I possibly effect all the people in the pool? (maybe I should leave for the greater good?)

Have you guys not downloaded the large round predictor? I use it all the time and when a large round is coming I jump pools...

I recommend Paulisoft Long Round Protector 1.0 ...and sniffing glue Wink

I've been mining for about four day, so I'm not sure what is strange and what is not. But it seems Slush hasn't found a block in a very long time.  Is this normal?  Something new?
Tha last block found by slush was about half an hour ago?
But yes, at the moment, we are a little down on luck, but that averages out usually.
you answered my question before I even asked "psychic".!
Thanks.

Plus it scares off some of the pool jumpers for a bit so when we hit that triple set of blocks in short succession, we all get a bit bigger payout... But thats just me being selfish...  Grin

Not selfish, rewards for being loyal (all loyal pool members benefit) Grin
