I alway using myetherwallet and it’s a legendary wallet. Massive people using it, but a lot of scam happened in every day with this wallet. Metamask is very new edition if you comparing with MEW. But i never put my mew Private key in ed or fd without using metamask because it’s huge security. Those two wallet actually so popular i don't care another different wallet.
For etherium wallet I like to use Myetherwallet. It’s very secure and safe online Wallet for Etherium. I also like to use this wallet for erc20 tokens. Untill now I didn't face any problem so far.
It is not online wallet,online wallets sometimes called as hot wallets which don't give any control over your funds for you,so the chances of hacks are highly possible.But MEW has private keys and you only have it so keep it secure then your wallet will be secured. 
I only know about MEW and Metamask, but are you sure that 3,4,5 are the best 3? I have never heard of them, so I feel that using Metamask is still safer!

those aren't wallets but clients. the way you're getting the access to ethereum blockchain via those clients matters. hardware wallets are the best one.

I also recommend using a trust wallet, I think of a wallet with an advantage where we don't have to look at ethereum gas. once sent you will be directed to the destination address and ethereum gas

if I use mew and metamask, I think both of these wallets are easy and very safe if you save your pk (private key) properly. and thank you for notifying another wallet because I just found out besides mew and metamask

for MEW and Metamask yes that right because i create and use that wallet for ERC20.
In 2018 i hear many people said if MEW is not safe again, hacking issue and other negative words.
But until now i have not a problem with my MEW, so i think that just a negative issue or maybe it negligence of some person.

I am believe MEW still safe. Most hacked wallet is because the owner not aware on the website security or its phising website. Until now, i am still using MEW and its user friendly and secure. Beside MEW, i am using mobile wallet to store my token and coin for long term

MyEtherWallet it good for me, I always try to use MEW because i think it's a good security for me when i hold a coin. It is really good one wallet more platforms and holders people accept it very easily.

I agree that MEW and Metamask are worth to use but I don't know any information about 3 wallets left. Beside you don't think Coinbase is also a good online wallet to store ETH as well? Although ETH is not the only cryptocurrency can be stored on Coinbase but I think it's a really good choice to keep your ETH and so many other cryptocurrencies safe without having a coldstorage wallet.
