In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.
I was asking myself what to do when cryptocurrency goes down and found out that the most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.
The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.
I recently found one project called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

I'm already in Crypto since march 2017 and made a decent amount of money to pay off my bills and some holidays.
I had a situation in my family few months ago where I received a lot of money from my dead granma.
I would like to chose ONE crypto and go "all in" with around 50k usd.
My goal is 1 year HODL and then withdraw most of it for an house or something like that.
Doing my own research I found ICON (ICX) as possible 10-20x cryptocurrency in this given timeframe.
PS: Please do not suggest unknown or shitcoins. (I know those may make a good money but I am not confident on putting so much money in these).

yes, it will down too following bitcoin price but he still has a chance to see his investment increase back. all he can do right now is stay calm and don't panic like other people. for every coin that he has, I think now it moves up slowly and trying to get up higher although still far away to see the highest price, it's good for him and he can wait for a while.

It is best to start investing right now. Start with choosing your favourite coins from coinmarketcap. Read news about coins. Then diversify your portfolio up to 15 coins. (More is less in this manner) So you can start hodling..
Split your investment like 10% in each crypto currency to get maximum profit and to avoid loss. Rather than relying on one particular coin you may spread your investments like Bitcoin 10%, Ethereum 10%, NEO 10% etc. Try to do analysis on the coin before investing other than the one I mentioned.

If i have 50k us dollars , i divide it to invest to 5 piece. I bought 1 bitcoin from 7 k , 2 bitcoin from 6 k and 2 bitcoin from 5 k and %50 percent of back for 4k dollars and 3 k dollars. And then i will wait 2020 or 2021 to look it. Buy and forget it to 2020 at least.

buying bitcoin is the best right now. The price is low and the future is very high. If I have 50k usd. I will buy the whole bitcoin 
I personally would not have invested such a large amount in only one coin. It is better to do research and invest in several promising projects. An investment in eth seems to be obvious.
Since you have much fund to re invest and do investment again I might suggest our token for you to invest at least a hundred to one thousand dollar, you can tell it has potential by looking on the white paper and the token development as of today.
If you still have not invested your money, you should buy a lot of Ethereum right now because it will hit 1000 to 2000 USD in the next 1 or 2 years. So just hold and wait!
