The bad part from the standpoint of miners is that SOMEONE deployed a TON of hashrate into Litecoin between about 4 December 2017 and 10 December 2017 - literally DOUBLING the total network hashrate in a WEEK.

 45 (more or less) TERRAHASH - when the biggest miner that had even been ANNOUNCED at the time only did about 600 - at LEAST 75000 new miners in a week out of SOMEWHERE.

 Might have been a combination thing - LW.com dropping a new batch into their farm + Bitmain shipping their latest L3+ batch + Innosilicon, but that is STILL the equivalent of all miners shipped in the first 11 months of 2017 COMBINED and then a bit.

There aren't a lot of other Scrypt coins, and all of them COMBINED couldn't come up with that kind of hashrate.


 I was wondering why my profitability since Litecoin slipped back down in price had COMPLETELY died.



 Price wise, Litecoin has almost held on as well as Ethereum, both have held on better than Bitcoin, during the current month.
 It also didn't start climbing 'till almost 2 weeks AFTER BTC and ETH started their December "big jump" - but it caught them very quickly on a percentage of jump basis.



People don't focus on Iota, it's FAR too little known.
In fact, your mention of it is the first time I've HEARD OF it.
They focus on RIPPLE more....

Bitcoin price jumped to $16K, pair bitcoin-litecoin raised a bit(from 0.009BTC per LTC to 0.011btc per LTC) there you go. Litecoin price jumped from 75$ to nearly 200$. If this tend continue we could see even higher price.
Oh, why? Ether and bitcoin are stuck? Maybe that is the reason. People switched to LTC.

litecoin has shown a good price movement by raising + 75% to date. litecoin in 2018 will be one of the coins that have good price and also high selling value. very potential if holding litecoin until 2018.

Charlie seems to be dedicated to seeing Litecoin's price rise.  Having such a vocal creator must be helpful at gaining recognition from those just learning about crypto.

The price of Litecoin jump much after Bitcoin jump, i think this is normal because Litecoin always bump after bitcoin bump.

This probably happened due to ethereum problems and bitcoin's fee/speed issues. I actually loved to see litecoin being alternative to biggest 2 coins in this situation. It means its great coin.

Going back to or going up to? The correct one is going up to 0.02BTC for litecoin in near future. Chinese guys are speculating good in Assian exchanges for litecoin. The development will be the key here for LTC.

Litecoin has long been forgotten and people only focus on Btc, Ethereum and IOTA
Litecoin again said "I am here"

Ouch, I wanted to buy Litecoins when they were around 50 bucks. I had little money and invested all in bitcoins. Wont say it didn't pay off, I doubled my investment. But now I wish I had some litecoins. 

Once it drops I will try to buy a couple of them.

Maybe yes. But not all bitcoiners switch their bitcoin into litecoin.
But this alarm us to aware to litecoin now. So not only bitcoin can grow much but litecoin can be growing too.

Litecoin is the better choice for investing anyways. Once the public learns about altcoins, the money is going to be poured into successful altcoins. Bitcoin has too many flaws right now to be integrated into the general community and there a ton of altcoins that solves the problem. Invest now into altcoins and wait a few years to gather some profits.

I personally have some money in ETH/LTC and zero in BTC.
