This is really great news especially for new miners who will no longer need to deal with the less user friendly linux os.
I'm kind of on the fence with this 8+ gpu thing. Got a couple of 8 gpu rigs myself, and while I can add at least 2-3 more cards to each, I don't think I will. Each gpu+riser add to the complexity and potentially lowers reliability of the whole system. And also when a rig goes down for some reason (PSU/MB/HDD/etc failure), you're losing more money during the downtime.. It's great for larger miners I guess, but for someone with 20-40 GPUs in total, I think I'll stick to 6-8 cards per rig for now.

Confirmed. 10-GPU (mix of 1060s and 1070s) mining rig working on Windows 10 version 1709.

Also running afterburner 4.4 beta 12, works without any issues. Can overclock nvidia cards normally.

i couldn't run more than 6 gpu untill now. maybe this time it will work.

Why would you need afterburner for AMD cards? OverdriveN tool should work just fine. I understand the reasons for using MSI AB with nvidia cards (voltage curve, fan curve etc), but can't think of a single reason to use AB with AMD cards.try overdriveNtool 0.2.1 with asus 580 8 Gb strix but not working.

The accomplishment right now would be on the asus b250 mining expert board, supporting 19 gpu's.
Also got it working 
, 12x1080ti on a asrock H110, setting the pcie lanes in bios to GEN1 did the trick.
Seems quite stable atm. GPU Tweak sees all the cards so that's also a good thing.

Did you notice any reduction in the hashrate because of the change to Gen1?

The question is, does one want to have more than 9 GPUs on a Windows computer?

new future creators relive beta drivers have gpu workload switch so you can switch between mining and gaming drivers apparently...

If you have managed to make 10 cards working then you should try at least to modify the bios of one card if all RX570 are same brand and same memory. If it works well and you can make it go up to 29 mhash then go and modify all the cards because it adds up quite some , up to 80 Mhash more or about 0.00055 btc more per day which is not bad with the actual bitcoin price.

They are all bios moded.. 29+ Mhs with blockchain driver. with new windows update and new amd drivers v17.40 its showing more than 8 gpus and mining also working with claymore 10. only thing is no dag fix in new amd driver. so less Mhs. Great news for such limit to be removed.

Would you mind taking a screenshot that shows both the device manager with 10 GPUs and claymore mining with those 10 GPUs?

Yes. I have tried blockchain driver as well. its allowing only 8 amd gpus in 1709. more than 8 windows is crashing.
Its not worth 8 rigs plus, given the stability loss due to more risers, more moving cards, potentially more PSUs etc.
A closed chassis 6 GPU rig is still steal. I've tried 4, 6, 8 and 12 GPU rigs. Win and Linux.
