I'm thinking to stop mining and start playing games Cheesy

No need to play, you can invest some money and start trading in steam.

Altcoin trading out, CS:GO item trading in =)

A fool and his money are soon parted.

Obviously the money wasn't doing anything useful where it was before - may it find a better home.

the seller and buyer prolly own both accounts and only try to make the item seam more worth. just my thoughts..

I highly doubt that, purely because the Dubai collector that sold the knife is extremely reputable.

You suggestion isn't a bad one though Cheesy

why it worth 55,000!?
special edition or limited edition?

btw...few years later when no 1 play CS:GO, it worth nth... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

This is true. The less people that play CS:GO = a drop in price of skins - Not necessarily! People believe it or not, actually trade CS:GO items as a job, and example would be a user named cAre. His inventory is worth around $200k and trades daily.

As for the knife, the pattern is one in the world. Extremely rare.

thats why it worth 55,000
but if I got that money I would prefer to buy some real-world's stuffs, at least I can hold it in hand Tongue

You sound like my dad Cheesy he questions why I have spent so much on digital / virtual skins

CS:GO skins give you the most satisfying feeling if you play the game.

I can understand why people paying money for online game for better items...
however, just a better skin I don't think it really worth that much of money

It's debatable. Personally I agree with the fact that this is insanely high priced. But I find it completely normal to have skins worth $5k-10k.

Ok people I'll let u in in a little secret

it's called advanced money laundering

it's also a way of hiding drug purchases

Hey the accountant won't let u waste business

money but u arranged with the car dealer

if u buy his $300,000 Ferrari

their will be a nice big bag of stuff in the boot

now u just need to convince the accountant that

the business can afford a Ferrari Smiley

But this here is a item from a game called counter strike...
That's not impossible either. People are really smart nowadays and use whatever platform to transfer money, even through games. I mean, just imagine that the seller and the buyer are mates, and just used CS:GO to transfer funds.

I think we getting a bit too deep XD

It's too much money, anyone w/ the slightest brain can see that - but! There is a glimmer of good news about things like this.

It shows virtual world economies, lifestyles, the concept of earning a living exclusively via work in virtual worlds ; as well as, by consequent, more in-depth virtual realities, eventually leading to full-immersion VR, are well in progress!

This is the dream. The sacred vision of the future all us cyberpunks/gamers/anime fans/many other circles have longed for since the '80's.

That's pretty much how I looked at this - Bitcoin is being used in a different marketplace. I thought this was good news.
But I am still baffled with a purchase for just pixels... $55k is ridiculous
