Books are good for increasing knowledge if we want to read them, I like reading books, but now that online learning how to trade can be found when we type keywords, I learn how to trade by reading the experiences of traders and their strategies online. This also added to my knowledge and I applied it.

Book is good to study to have a background knowledge of trading but at the same time, we should bear in mind that we need a practical knowledge to be able to take down everything we read from the book and trying them out. This will help us to restrategize if it not working.
It's good to have both practical, actual and books knowledge as we will be able to explore and learn things might or might not included on books. I also enjoy enrolling in some online courses now since some were able to give tips, recommends better platforms and shows some of their strategies that can benefit me also.

This has been a topic of quite a few threads since I've been a member here, and you might want to search for "books" in Bitcoin Discussion and/or Trading Discussion, because I've seen lots of recommendations.

I've always suggested Reminiscences of a Stock Operator by Edwin Lefèvre--even though the book is really old and is about stock and commodity trading, it's a very interesting and entertaining read.  Jesse Livermore was doing TA well before computers existed, and he was pretty successful at it (except for the times when he went bankrupt....and committed suicide).

On a related note, I started reading Digital Gold by Nathaniel Popper.  It doesn't have anything to do with trading, but it's all about bitcoin and so far I'm really enjoying it.

One of the biggest mistakes you are doing is comparing bitcoin trading with stock trading. They are not the same. They don't exhibit the same behavior at all.
I disagree with that, and I'd also suggest that any similarities depend on which stock you're talking about.  The behavior may not be identical, but if you're using TA you could probably apply it to both markets (and I think it's useless in both as well).

Recently i´ve got a indication of a book: Encyclopedia of chart patterns (second edition). This book is realy good, but it has many pages (1033). The book was initially designed for the Stock Market, but you can still use the book to trade with bitcoin. The book is available on Amazon and on the internet (pdf for free). I particularly downloaded the pdf but I intend to buy the book soon. I recommend an intermediate-advanced level of English and a certain experience in trade to understand the book well.

Since the whole concept and context were designed for the Stock Market, there are some things that might be appropriate when they bring to Crypto. Trading crypto and stocks might be the same in general but they have different factors to looked at.

There are lots of sources already that focused on everything about crypto trades whether via books, videos, articles, etc. so if the main purpose is to learn how to trade cryptos, refer to these sources instead rather than to read a stock market-related books.

Unless we want to extend our knowledge about how to deal with the stock market too, that book will serve as a good reference.

On other hand, do you actually need books to learn how to trade? There are tons of free such books out there on the internet, but you won't truly learn anything unless you have tried trading yourself. You will be making lot of mistakes when trading and once you learn from you mistakes, you will be better at trading.

There's a lot of books out there that talks about trading, but the best book I preferred on you is entitled "The Disciplined Trade" written by Mark Douglas in 1990, this book is talks about the mental discipline that is really required among traders to become a successful trader someday.  This book also describes the basic mindset and attitudes for trader so that this book may help you to understand on what you really feel when it comes in trading.

If you read books, you will only gain knowledge and not experience. It is very hard to trade when you don't know what is really happening in the market and during transactions.

Strategy is hard to perform when you only read books, because in books, it only states the type of strategies and not the consequences and advantages of it. Planning and performing strategy is always based on your technical analysis about the movement in the market. In order for you to become an effective trader, you should always apply and perform the basics that you have read. You also need to practice the strategies, in order for you to know the good and bad effects of it. It is not bad to make mistakes, but if you make the same mistakes again then you have a problem with the way you trade.

Not only books, it is also essential to seek some advice and tips to some professional traders. They are the one who are knowledgeable and effective when it comes to trading. Professional traders are still experiencing some bad and fail transactions but they are dominant when they will make a solution for it. They can make strategies based on the circumstances so they can easily manipulate the market with the way they want. But if the market is really down and the prices of the coins are not cooperating then it will have a hard time to make a solution for that. They are still vulnerable with the mistakes and no one is exempted with that. In cryptocurrency, practice don't make things perfect, but it lessen the risk of losing the money in trading.

When im still trading up on Forex, i got used to read up some books but times passed where everything can be read up online then
i dont already have the time to look into any writings but rather i do prefer on reading up online due to convenience.
You wouldnt really understand a book yet it would really have that corresponding level of knowledge which would really be needed.
Its a step by step process though. When it comes to basics then babypips.com courses would be good for complete beginners.
