You started with good way how to promoting Bitcoin to public and actually with your environment by accepting Bitcoin for your win store, should put and use clearly Bitcoin logo in front of your store for accepting Bitcoin as payment currency. It will be interesting to try something like this, and I am confident that it will contribute to the growth of the Bitcoin ecosystem. However, you must brace yourself for some difficulties because you intend to teach some of them, who are unfamiliar with Bitcoin, what Bitcoin is. There may come a time when you are asked a question about Bitcoin that you have never heard of.

So, if you truly want to continue with this initiative, you must arm yourself with the necessary knowledge to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

It's always encouraging to see more people adopting Bitcoin, and spreading awareness is one of the easiest ways to encourage adoption. And that is what you have came up with  by accepting Bitcoin in your shop as option for payment. As you noted, many folks aren't even aware of what Bitcoin is. But I believe many people will be made aware of that by the time you start accepting it. Op try and make the notification notice larger and well design so that
more eye can catch.

you can also gain their interest by reducing a small amount of money for any one willing to pay with Bitcoin I believe that help to bring more customers to you.
I will not advise him to reduce any amount just because  he want to attract more customers to adopt Bitcoin, due to is doing a business and nobody is paying him for taking any awareness or accepting Bitcoin. and infact he is not the one producing wine but just a store keeper, I don't think reducing price will be a good idea but only putting he business in risk.

I think that's really a nice idea, if people visit your store and they want to make payment, make sure you always ask them if they are going to pay with bitcoin and listen to their response, the once that know about bitcoin but don't have Bitcoin or are not ready to pay with bitcoin will definitely say No, but the once that don't know anything about bitcoin will definitely ask (what is bitcoin?) then you can use the opportunity to explain to them.

I am always considering bitcoin for payments and regular transactions but our government is strict when it comes to it. So OP unless you are from El Salvador and Central African Republic, make sure your government and local authorities are not that strict with regard to bitcoin regulations since penalties may be harsher than your expectations and we tend to ignore it sometimes. You already have a great idea about accepting bitcoin for your business, the best way is to probably ask your local bureau if it is okay or if you need a permit or something.

I think your plan to accept Bitcoin payment in your win shop is a good one because this is really going to pave way for more customers if your country accepts Bitcoin for payments otherwise you still need to convert your funds back to your local fiat currency to buy more goods in your shop to keep it running.

As suggested by @Erumo, you need to get a sticker with Bitcoin logo that will also do a major advert for you because alot of people will likely do business with you if they find out that you accept Bitcoin for payments. Try aacmuch as possible to encourage any customer willing to do business with you via Bitcoin payment  you can also gain their interest by reducing a small amount of money for any one willing to pay with Bitcoin I believe that help to bring more customers to you.

simple steps that are pretty good, don't forget to add a banner that is clearly visible in front of your shop, so that it can be more attractive to people passing by.
continue to provide prices for goods or products that you will sell using bitcoin, so that it is easier and more practical to see prices.
if around you there are many people who have bitcoins, surely your shop will be the subject of discussion and of course it is likely that there will be many visitors.

Start with "we accept Bitcoin" sticker on your front door, and add some Bitcoin logos in the shop. See how people react. Check whether they are really interested in Bitcoin, ask what is it, how to pay with and etc. Start with simple research. Dont go all-in into spending things on buying terminal, software and etc. Dont rush. Its wine you want to sell on first place, not to introduce Bitcoin to others.

A good way to promote bitcoin is that we have to provide enough and interesting information and we also have to be able to reach the right audience, we also have to keep abreast of the latest developments in the bitcoin industry and have to adapt our promotion strategy according to developments, we also have to create media accounts bitcoin-focused social media and upload content that interests others to find out more about bitcoin.

That will be ok for businesses that are completely independent of the fiat system otherwise a society that is dependent on the system will be against you in the future once they understand that Bitcoin can't be subject to it, leading to problems for your business.
Just make sure you own the shop, produce the wine yourself, or atleast the one you rented the shop from and the sources for the ingredients for making the wine should also be independent people who use Bitcoin for transactions.

My views are based on long-term implications of the path you choose today.

I think that the best way of promoting Bitcoin is by investing in Bitcoin and the ocean shall the awareness of bitcoin to other people because I couldn't remember how it got viral  through the process of letting people surrounding you or around you to know the importance of Bitcoin

Investing in bitcoin is definitely not the best way of promoting it nowadays: may be earlier, when in was just developed... but now it has it's own value already and main idea is to spread in wider. To be more successful bitcoin needs more people having and using it and more places you can operate it directly.

Even one more small additional store is good in that way. One store in one place, one in another and bitcoins spreads wider in general, what is good.

So my wife and i has a big wine 🍇 store and this includes other drinks as well, we sell in packs, and loads of people always come around to buy from us, I am thinking if this is a good opportunity to start promoting Bitcoin? I mean if some can pay Bitcoin for goods and services it will help even if they are few.

I believe this can make people start wondering what Bitcoin is and I will be waiting for questions like

What is bitcoin?

What benefits come from using it as payment?

Then I will give my answer and see if any people become more interested in it, some have heard about it but they have a wrong perspective of what Bitcoin is leading to believe it's a scam.  What do you think?

That's a very good move, and it will impact the stigma of your consumers, who will, by and large, be wondering what bitcoin is.

The wrong mindset from the point of view of your consumers is reasonable in my opinion, because maybe they don't know what bitcoin is in a complex way and of course they also don't know how to use it to make transactions.
The decision that I think is right if you don't change the payment focus on bitcoin but make bitcoin as an alternative payment for the wine you sell, so that consumers can choose the means of payment.

This question can indeed be an initial inducement from you to people who visit your shop to buy the items needed, because in the end they will definitely ask again about what Bitcoin is before judging it personally. Yes, it can indeed be the initial stage for you in promoting Bitcoin and making Bitcoin more famous in your environment when people who have visited your shop hear it from you. So if you like Bitcoin payments for items in your shop, then just post a little announcement that you want to accept Bitcoin as payment for those who don't carry cash.

a good idea in my opinion because it can provide convenience for people who currently don't have cash and sometimes for tourists who don't have local money
but behind all that you need to really explain what bitcoin is so you don't misinterpret the original purpose of bitcoin that already exists

I don't want to promote it like what other people promote it where they keep saying "oh you need to invest in bitcoin for you to make money" which is a very wrong approach to me because people will not become interested to it whenever they hear it. I want to promote it by telling them how it works, the technology behind it and the future of it. The mainstream media promote the Bitcoin in a bad way where the majority of the people in my country doesn't have any intention to use or buy it because they have fear of losing in their money. I tried to promote it to my friends by telling them personally how it works and my strategy works very well so it may also be a good use to you.

Are you the major wine brand in your country? Or at least one of the top player in this industry in local market? If not, then you can't promote bitcoin but instead, you can use bitcoin to promote your business. Bitcoin is an innovation for the society and even the word sounds innovative for those who don't know what it is.
The more payment options you have, the better for your business because if I am an user and want to buy your product but you don't accept my preferred payment method, then I'll start looking for your opponent companies in hope to pay with btc for example. When I find your opponents, there is a chance that I'll find their product more than yours and instead of you, I'll become their, who knows, maybe loyal customer.
So, yeah, accept Bitcoin and altcoins too. I guarantee you that you won't receive many transactions but this is what you can do to promote bitcoin and your business, all together:
1. A lot of TVs will accept your offer to film your viticulture where you can talk about how you produce it, what are the problems you face, what benefits you gain, you can also talk that you are the only one who accepts bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in this industry, etc.
2. You can also ask journalists of news websites to come with you, interview you where you'll talk about this innovative payment method. News websites are looking for clickbait, so, you give them a reason for this. Imagine this kind of title: Italy's famous wine company decided to accept bitcoin payments. Imagine something like this, I think it sounds great, right? So you know what to do Smiley

Wish you good luck Smiley

That seems like a great idea. People who buy wine tend to have more money to spend on investments, and tend to be more educated which means they are more open to learning about something like bitcoin and using it.

How did you come up with that conclusion? Grin Are there any studies proving such correlation between win consumption and investments?
OP can do whatever he wants with his business. He knows his customers and he must decide whether or not to start promoting Bitcoin.
I can't see any clear benefit of promoting BTC in a wine store. Bitcoin has nothing to do wine and I don't really think that accepting BTC payments would boost OP's sales. He can try to educate some of his customers about BTC without having to expect any kind of direct benefit out of BTC adoption. There's nothing wrong with that.

Know first if there are huge number of people using bitcoin on your place since if you just introduce bitcoin without knowing its demand maybe you are just wasting your time for doing that because for sure people will just ignore it and use the traditional method they use.

To create noise about possible adoption on your store scout first the people around you since if there's a bunch of bitcoin user in your place for sure you will be the talks in the town for accepting it on your store.
One person per month is my goal, it's not entirely about accepting bitcoin as means of payment, I want to use this to spread the news about Bitcoin and have some discussion, if I can get someone every month to discuss Bitcoin with then it's for the greater good.

I will introduce discounts with Bitcoin payment, people love discounts I believe, so this will force them to want to know what Bitcoin is all about and how they can get it.

This is actually a good idea. Some small stores near my place is actually doing this to promote crypto and it feels awesome to see a Bitcoin logo every time I pass by that store. Unfortunately, I haven't tried it yet since I'm on the hodler side and I keep my BTC in exchangers I trust, not in my wallet  Grin

It's good to have another payment option that's different on what we often use everyday, and I find cashless payment convenient every time.
