So my wife and i has a big wine 🍇 store and this includes other drinks as well, we sell in packs, and loads of people always come around to buy from us, I am thinking if this is a good opportunity to start promoting Bitcoin? I mean if some can pay Bitcoin for goods and services it will help even if they are few.

I believe this can make people start wondering what Bitcoin is and I will be waiting for questions like

What is bitcoin?

What benefits come from using it as payment?

Then I will give my answer and see if any people become more interested in it, some have heard about it but they have a wrong perspective of what Bitcoin is leading to believe it's a scam.  What do you think?

Its always great to have someone promoting Bitcoin when selling their own goods. Now, when doing that you will always face haters which will certainly point oit that Bitcoin is a scam. Thats when you will have the chance of evangelizing some more hatters and make them believers. If you manage to do that, its a win win

Honestly I don't understand

Yeah it's good if you want to promote Bitcoin and I wouldn't stop your idea, but what's the benefit you will get? I'm just talking if I were you, as a businessman you're spend 24/7 to expand your business, how you can have a time to teach every person that interested with Bitcoin when you're not get anything?

I mean either your customer pay your wine for Bitcoin or fiat, the value is same and I wouldn't wasting my time to repeat over and over.

I think that you will complicate the matter more for your customers, because this procedure will help, of course, to introduce Bitcoin and the benefits of using it, but it will not be very encouraging to them.  To buy a bottle of wine should not be very complicated, and if the transaction can be achieved using some cash or a transfer using a bank card, then there is no real need to use Bitcoin in this case.
You can imagine the technical dilemmas that you will involve yourself in finding solutions to in order to establish a Bitcoin payment system, whether on a virtual or physical store.

Incorporating bitcoin as a payment method into your company is always a smart move. In actuality, it's the modest part you can play in spreading awareness of and encouraging the use of bitcoin.
I advise you to thoroughly plan it out and attempt to test out a few of your potential ideas. Here is an idea: you could have a screen or banner that provides information on the investing in bitcoin and how one can get involved and use it for payment of goods or services where it is accepted.

I guess, to instances as such, the outcome depends on your business and not to your consumers. Ofcourse this would be a good idea especially for crypto industry but what would matter is whether your business would survive doing so or not. Given that the market price won't continuously go up, how would you be able to sustain your business in the first place during market dips? Let's be real. Such business would require you to put stock whenever it is running low. Would you be able to sell your holdings even if the price is still low?, That would be an instant loss for sure. Supporting this industry will never be a bad idea but be sure you'd be able to compensate yourself as well.

Why not? It's not a new idea, but it sure would be interesting if there weren't many bitcoin-accepting shops in your area before. You will be the pioneer so you will attract a large number of customers to use bitcoin. That way, you can also accumulate more bitcoins without having to buy on exchanges and incur additional transaction fees.

It's a welcomed development. That payment method has been ongoing among some of my compatriots here who run local businesses in the country. For them, they've recorded surprising patronage which was birthed out of curiosity. Note that there are people who are keen on trying new techs if they're exposed to it. Just be ready to answer a lot of penetrating questions on what you're about to get into. Do you've time for that? Will you not be irritated by their nagging questions and then get stressed out? By the way, get a Bitcoin sign and place in your shop to get more attention. If you're lucky, those who know about Bitcoin already and live in your area will want to flock to your shop more because there's that comradeship among Bitcoiners.

It depends on where you live and whether there are a lot of bitcoin users in your area, or you can promote your trade through social media or where you trade with flyers so you can accept bitcoin payments.
and if your business always has a lot of people coming to buy i think there is nothing wrong with you doing that and i think now everyone knows what bitcoin is and what bitcoin is used for. And the advantage you get if you accept bitcoin as payment is, when the bitcoin price goes up, your previous profit will double according to the bitcoin price.
and I suggest you keep it for the long term, and if there is something to buy for your business, put it on fiat and let your bitcoin work and grow.
and ignore those who think bitcoin is a fraud because there are still many people who believe in it.
There is not much Bitcoin users in my area but I think idea will bring up some curiosity, there are smart students around my area for example and I believe they could develop some interest .

As for my business, I am thinking of an attractive offer that can make them want to buy Bitcoin and use Bitcoin to buy from me then this will even prompt them to look more into what Bitcoin is.

It is not only a good way to promote bitcoin but also benefits you. Adding bitcoin to your business payment method will help your business attract more customers, especially bitcoin investors like us. As a bitcoin investor, I am really excited and interested in businesses that use bitcoin, so I think others are too, I'm sure it will attract other investors. But more importantly, you must ensure you live in a country where bitcoin is legal, or your business will run into trouble with the law.

I don't know how many people will choose bitcoin payment but it won't be a large percentage at first.

If you're a bitcoin investor and would like to buy and hold some as a store of value accepting it in your store is a great way to DCA anonymously without having to touch an exchange, go through their KYC process and all that.

There's a chance you'll find new friends. People who live in your area and are into bitcoin but weren't spending it locally because there were no places that accepted it. Maybe some of them will want to help your business.

Of course it is good to raise awareness of others about bitcoin on the sidelines of business, and again it's up to your environment and availability particularly time to teach customers some basic lessons. And you need to know, new people are usually more skeptical of financial matters. Here you are required to explain to them more carefully, maybe you will get some opposition from them fiat fanatics.

Simply put a sign in your door stating that you accept bitcoin, and you will undoubtedly have a lot of customers asking you questions; just put it up because most people are curious about it right now. Also, there is nothing wrong with it unless it is illegal in your country. The positive side of this is that it will attract more customers to you. Just prepare your answers about bitcoin and if they want to pay using it, as this is the most common question. Good luck with that, and please keep us updated about what is the outcome on this.

That should depend on the environment in which you operate your business. If you see that you have more resources to launch your business while accepting bitcoin as payment, and ifms is acceptable to your customers, I believe that is not a bad idea. However, beware of scammers. Another advantage is that if you accept bitcoin as payment and keep it, the price may increase at any time.

It could be a good time to promote bitcoin in your city but you still have to follow the rules in your city so you don't break those rules.
For the initial stage, you can post a notification that you accept payments via bitcoin (if your country allows the use of bitcoin and it is legal there).
This will catch people's attention, especially if they see the bitcoin logo in front of your shop.
The benefit may be security as they don't need to carry cash to shop at any store that accepts bitcoins as payment.
But if your country hasn't allowed the use of bitcoins, you shouldn't because it could be against the rules.

Know first if there are huge number of people using bitcoin on your place since if you just introduce bitcoin without knowing its demand maybe you are just wasting your time for doing that because for sure people will just ignore it and use the traditional method they use.

To create noise about possible adoption on your store scout first the people around you since if there's a bunch of bitcoin user in your place for sure you will be the talks in the town for accepting it on your store.

For me  i think its a good idea, because like you said they are lots of people there who still have the wrong perception towards bitcoin and still think its a scam project and are missing out on all the benefits one could get from bitcoin. Promoting bitcoin is a current trend that is going on currently in the  some places in my locality, i have been to many business place around me that offer the acceptance of bitcoin in return for their services.
Creating a curiosity in the mind of people about bitcoin through your business is a very good idea especially when you have the right answers to address this this curios minds.

But if you're allow free access to Bitcoin then you can give it a trial with extreme caution in order not to discourage your customers.

When you see a new label with a new payment method on a cashier's like Apple Pay or Samsung Pay are you really discouraged with that? Most people just ignore what is not interesting to them. I hardly can imagine that starting accepting bitcoin as a new payment option will negatively impact on customers: who will be curious ‒ can learn more about bitcoin, others will just overlook the label not interesting to them in person.

It depends on the place you're living thou. If the law and government of your country prohibit Bitcoin then you should be law abiding citizen first by not broadcasting what the government is against. But if you're allow free access to Bitcoin then you can give it a trial with extreme caution in order not to discourage your customers.

Any sign like BTC accepted here makes entire situation with bitcoin adoption better: people see that more and more places are bitcoin friendly. Of course it motivates them to know about bitcoin more. And one day the amount of places accepting bitcoin will be as big as popular fiat systems like Visa or Mastercard have.

We all remember how big impact has first deal of buying pizza for bitcoins. Each time it can be a small step, but if this step is in a right direction it is better to make it than not IMO.

If you have a business and regular customers, why not try adopting Bitcoin? You could put up a sign on the door or near the counter, saying "Bitcoin is accepted here", for starters. If you have an online shop as well, you could accept Bitcoin payments there directly (onto a Bitcoin address), given that waiting for it to be confirmed isn't an issue. If Bitcoin starts being accepted in the store, I think people will understand they can ask about Bitcoin there as well. Good luck!
