Define what realistic is?I have always been wondering when people say-predict the realistic price of this or that-first of alll,the predictions are something mostly based on the viewpoing ot every person and you shouldn't thinks in terms of what can be achieved in terms of a price or not-BTC can go 3 times it's price easily but where it can go to-that's another good question.I don't think most of the people know the answer to it
It is hard to predict bitcoin price in a month, how much more in a year. I will speculate anyway. Bitcoin was doubling its price ever since I joined this forum. So I believe it will double its price again next year. That means it is 4-5K range, maybe more if scaling problem is resolved within the period.
Being realistic I believe to see BTC pricing in one year about $3400-$3700, most probable $3500. Considering until end of 2017 BTC will be pricing $3000 that is my prediction for the date OP mentioned. Very possible to happen and increasing averagely without big events and news that could affect BTC price a lot.
I am very optimistic but thats my fault, but generally I have been really good at predicting bitcoin swings since mid 2013.

For now I would say, buy some coins at halve or whole at the following retracements: $1700, $1200.
In the meantime, look at Ethereum, Litecoin and Ripple to accumulate cheap.

According to the current market I can say that Bitcoin can face another Crush the chances of this is probably low. if Bitcoin Rises it will be around $3,500 . I see people are assuming that and will cross $5,000 soon or maybe $10,000 and so on which is pretty technically correct but we still don't know about the future.
My guess is that the bitcoin price in a year from my post will be approximately $6071. Let's see how it turns out.

Actually this is a good idea, but it will be better if there is someone who will sponsor a winning price money on who will guess it right or the closest one, hahaha. My guess it will 4x the price today, so 8000USD = 1btc. More realistic and it is achievable by 1year period.
If SegWit does not pass, I think Bitcoin can still reach $ 6,000 next year, and surely higher that in case SegWit passes.

My educated guess is around $3800 as well. I know the demand for bitcoin will increase in 2018 so I'm guessing around that price. A lot of country will be joining by then so its good to see that the price rise will dramatically go to the moon in about a year time. Other factor I also considered if the scaling issue which we are going to see in August 1. It might have been mass adopted next week. Hah. Let's just see what happen 1 year from now and we will try to go back on this thread and see our predictions.
Predictions about Bitcoin, I like this. At present, the value of Bitcoin is well known, it is very high value, its speed development is quite fast. Only last year to this year its price has risen from around $ 600 to more than $ 2,000, so fast growth. I think BItcoin will not stop here, it will increase even more than it is now because more and more people are aware of Bitcoin and invest in it. Its price in 2018 will be more than $ 3,000, even reaching $ 4,000 or so
It depends on bunch of things, what will create the demand - will there be a lot of bad or good news on the other hand.
I'd say that we might push it through like 3.5k$ because rising slower but steadily is better than if some pump occurs, but I am sure that we will see pumps to like 3k and above till the end of this year.

Every long term bitcoin prediction is nothing more than educated guess. All we can do is base our view on history of price movements and future expectations.
It is estimated that if this year's scaling upgrade will be relatively painless process then bitcoin's price at the end of this year could reach even $6000 (it's not exaggerated price at all).
2018 might be very interesting year, some countries declared that they might accept bitcoin as legal payment tender for example Russia.

Realistic price is every price determined on the Bitcoin market based on demand or supply. Now we are in the period when the price was going up rapidly, we witnessed some minor correction and probably we will be for a while in the period of some stability. One year is very long period in digtal world, especialy for crytocurrencies but 6000 I find a bit exaggareted.
I think this thread belongs more to "Speculation" section than here.

double increase in natural rate of BTC users + Impact of regulation in atleast one more nation + Increase in Speculation = $5500. Hufff!!

Well, every people has their own version and goal for the bitcoin price. However, as per my calculation and intuition, I believe bitcoin price will go up to $3500 by that time.
However, the price increase actually depends on many factors and that may not happen so easily within a year. The market cap needs to be increased rapidly to reach that price tag and with the current transaction fees issue, people tend to invest in alts. So it may or may not happen. Lets just hope bitcoin reaches even better price tag by the end of the year.
Since I'm joining bitcoin three years ago until now, bitcoin have increase with significant value and on May , bitcoin's value really made me out of my expectation.
IMO for it's difficult to see bitcoin less than $ 1750 since more country decide to legalize bitcoin for their transaction. On next year , may more country decide to legalize bitcoin as well so it's not impossible that bitcoin will reach today's price + 100% ++

Does this really makes sense? We can just have lots of guesses here with random thoughts.
If anyone knew bitcoin would reach 2000$ he would be a billionaire by now. the question is who can see the future from this point forward
You are right. There is no accurate here and I think even at closest price we can't determined. The $2,000 price is not expected to happened to the time it was happened so all we need to do is to ride the hype.
Just for fun, the accurate guess will be known in a year.
