So for most of these alt-coins what is the best equipment to use for mining? Should you be investing in high price ASICS or will getting a good graphics card or running off your CPU be good enough. For example what is best for mining Litecoin?
So which altcoins should we mine or collect? A lot of alt-coins over there.

Well atleast pee pee coin and primecoin deserve honorable mention because they both added something new to the table.But I think they've been betamaxed at this point.

I hear a lot of alt-coins die after getting too high on difficulty. Are there any alt-coins with guaranteed blocks? Like on bitcoin testnet3 where after 20 minutes the difficulty drops to minimum.
