I think only alt coins who could survive are the ones with a real business plan, it's not just about protocols.

I have a question about Alt-Coins (sorry if it was answered before, i don't read the whole topic).

Exist some Alt-Coin that is possible mining with an BTC ASIC?

you can mine the coins that are SHA-256 - there are several of them, ppc, terracoin, etc.

So for most of these alt-coins what is the best equipment to use for mining? Should you be investing in high price ASICS or will getting a good graphics card or running off your CPU be good enough. For example what is best for mining Litecoin?

What about PPC? Do you think it will be worth more due to its mining algorithm???
Well atleast pee pee coin and primecoin deserve honorable mention because they both added something new to the table.
But I think they've been betamaxed at this point.

Is Litecoin any good?

I'd say LTC is in second place behind BTC.

I recently read a very intersting article (http://bitcoinmagazine.com/5635/primecoin-the-cryptocurrency-whose-mining-is-actually-useful/) about Primecoin. It is fantastic how the mining/verification process can be useful for another tasks than just mining/support the e-currency economy.

I cannot take anyone seriously that uses the avatar you are currently using...

Sorry for the question but, why? It's only about a ugly logo? he/she has another one? or what?

Coins-e is friendly to new crypto currency users,
Not only are we a well trusted exchange, but the wide rage of currencies we have gives noobs instant access to many wallet addresses in one place.

I just observed your site is not responding. I wanted to check out the site and see the free coin faucets you have available there to see.
Also, What sort of good pools are available on your site?
Are they ad sponsored or free.

I am looking for a program to mine as well as to acquire a lot of bitcoins. I know you think its impossible, i am willing to devote as much time to this as possible. Obviously, I am a newbie to this, but i will get the hand of it in time, i believe.

I am always on the look out for good info with regards to mining bitcoins. I love this forums.

Certainly the site appears down most of the time (at least from my geographical location, South America and the Caribbean). Coins-e, don't you have some kind of monitoring service that report to you the status of the site?

I hear a lot of alt-coins die after getting too high on difficulty.   Are there any alt-coins with guaranteed blocks?  Like on bitcoin testnet3 where after 20 minutes the difficulty drops to minimum.
