There is no community, just gold rush. Everybody wants easy money.

It will be interesting to see which coin types pan out in the long run. There could be many factors which influence if a currency will make it in the world. The biggest factor is likely the community behind the currency and if the community's support for the currency stays strong. I find it difficult to believe that mining the currency will remain profitable for those involved. It will be interesting to see how things go when mining is no longer being pursued with a digital currency.

EAC looks promising

Basically anything that aligns with the central banker-created Earth Charter as signed by nearly every country (i.e., central banker lands) on the planet in 1992, will make money, because 162 privately owned central banks create the worldwide societal paradigm and are rarely wrong.

To summarize:
  • animals are equal to humans (DOGE aligns)
  • the Earth's privately owned resources are privately owned and therefore populations must be kept in check (EAC aligns)

Any others?

How about creating androgynous coin (ANDC), to better control population numbers?
Managed society coin (MSC)?
Tavistock engineering coin (TEC)?
Bred for passivity coin (BPC)?
Lemmings perfected coin (LPC)?
Fake perpetual crisis coin (FPCC)?
Bank for International Settlements is God coin (BISGC)?
I live in a fake paradigm coin (ILFPC)?

Change it to FAPcoin and would be a success Smiley

Is there a way to mine different coins using only one wallet?  or do you have to install each client for each coin you want to mine?

So many coins so little hash.

It´s hard knowing what altcoin to put your kh/s on, i just started today and have about 5k EAC but it was fun getting your first coins in your wallet.
now i have one GPU at 572kh/s on EAC and one at the same speed at some new fedoracoin which i already have some 150k coins in, but i guess that coin won´t survive Smiley

Whats EAC?

So with all the new alt-coins out, which do you see holding value in the long run? Its seem funny how quick some of these are making up ground. Such as DogeCoin in the last few days exploding.
Yep DogeCoin is infact getting a lot of mainstream media coverage as well..and ofcourse reddit/4chan are pushing it really up.

Yeah I missed the solo train on this by about 4 days... I should start paying more attention and see whats coming out

I started this as a hobby and it has quickly become an obsession.

The same thing happened to me. From 400khash to 7,5mhash in less than 9 months. We'll see where the profitability goes. I'll probably upgrade from 40nm to 28nm later next year.

Doge has done well and is slowing down a little now.

Earthcoin seems to have gained some good ground pretty quickly.

It's hard to say which will hold value in the long run. The ones that people will accept as payment for goods and services.

Emunie looks technically promising.

So whats the easiest to solo right now?

Is NXT Nextcoin less secure as it does not use proof of work at all ?

Without proof of work does it mean that there is no
possibility of a 51% attack being successful ?

What if more then half of the founders collude together...
could they game the system ?

Please someone answer as i am quite tempted to invest
as NXT don't need high powered computers to run.

Hello Everybody
I have been mining GlobalCoin for 7 days.  I solo mined for 2 days and got 19 blocks, I am now pool mining due to the rise in difficulty.  The next difficulty is predicted to be 0.2 it is 6 now and still catching blocks with the pool. I have 3 R9 270X cards hashing at 475 each.  I followed the directions provided on the forum to set everything up and it worked on the first startup.  I would like to encourage you to mine GlobalCoin. The devs have a lot of plans for Jan 2014.  I think its going to be a strong player in the Alts.  I started this as a hobby and it has quickly become an obsession.

I think there's potential so long as you're patient, smart and a little lucky.. don't go all dreamy-eyed and have high expectations.
