Anyone bought A4 from Inno recently. They still have that 270$ shipping rate for 1 miner?

Can someone possibly assist me? I have 3 cards that refuse to start hashing. I tried connecting 1 card at a time operating status goes from running to stop before it starts mining. Only 1 card out of 4 works, if i connect it alone it stays running and starts to mine. If i connect it with any or all of the other three cards, operating status goes from running to stop before any minimg takes place. Please help at a total loss. It is not the pi that is faulty

Please show your configuration and if possible cgminer.log( try ssh to to pi user:pi password:raspberry)
Cgminer.log is located in/var/www

Gl,
can you please PM me your email address? I can only send 5 msgs per hr and have reached my limit Sad

When the LEDs are blinking all the time, in my experience that means there's a fault with the card. I've seen it happen in two circumstances so far. 1.) Overheated card due to fan failure - shutdown, cool off, replace fan and restart - worked again. 2.) Reflashing the MCU firmware from B1/2 to B3 - I had a few cards where the LED would flash incessantly on the last stage - had to restart the firmware flash procedure from start - cured the problem.

If you've got one of the Batch 3 miners with the glued on individual heatsinks (have a look inside) check that they're all stuck where they should be (onto the ASIC chips). I had a couple of these B3 miners land with heatsinks rattling around inside the miner case. Just unplug and unscrew the 4 screws holding the fan, unscrew the 4 screws holding the cards in place and gently slide the hashcards out.

Try starting the miner with all 4 cards, then power off and pull the SD card and open both StartCgminer.log and cgminer.log in /var/www.
You're looking for 4 sets of the hashcard initialisation log below as well as this summary line:

[2017-03-05 20:20:06] A2 boards=4, active cores=7998, speed=763.97M
Ignore the reference to A2, Inno didn't update this chunk of code for the A4.

This is the log for 1 card so you should see 4 sets of this. If you don't see 99 or 100 cores per chip you've got problems.

PSU power enough? Connected correctly (using both plugs for each board)?

1300W Psu from inno, all connected properly. previously worked just fine but suddenly only 1 card hashes. If i connect any of the other 3 cards alone they dont hash just blink all the time and switch to operating status stop.

If i connect the 1 working card with a card that doesnt work both wont mine.

@eyedol-x, temps are fine at that mhz, but then again my A4s are hosted at Cryptoboreas, Canada and its freezing over there. Overall, I think the A4s with new firmware finally rids of the reboot issues and stays online longer at NH (Get Failures=2). I reckon it will have similar improvements in other pools.

I have tried Prohashing, zpool, coinotron with v2.02 ... will test them again with new firmware.... however I will stick to NH at this time because I want to collect BTCs and don't want to wait for confirmations etc...

Also, I see some premium payouts often at NH rentals maybe because of LTC being hot coin now.... so I dont mind selling my hash here in return for BTC upfront, for awhile more.

NH is now paying me over 0.1 BTC/day for the 6 x A4s selling Scrypt hash at NH marketplace.

Looks like renting is better than mining, at least for now.

At roughly 40% of your overall hashrate, mine have been cranking out about $32-33 USD a day over on PH so I would estimate your hashrate should make around $80 USD a day at PH based upon last couple of days earnings. At .1 BTC you're making around $115 a day so thats roughly another 30% increase over PH earnings.

I need to get my A4s updated to 2.0.3 it sounds like, lol.

Innosilicon ASIC official representative
Thank you! Your reply made it clearer for me.

But still want to ask Innosilicon how should I contact them?

I sent my message to two email addresses from their website, and another one I found here. No one answered.

Sorry, please send email to [email protected], we will check it at once, thanks. Smiley

Hi,
I have A4 (2 ASIC's, one control unit), firmware v. 1.0.2 average speed on nicehash = 200 MH/s

I wrote 2.0.3 firmware on 16 GB class 4 SD card. A4 does not work with it:

What did I do wrong?

Is there any support at Innosilicon to address my question?

Thanks! Smiley

You have Batch 2 Units that must be updated to Batch 3 to support current software. Unfortunately this requires you to send the miners off or get on a list to have Innosilicon send you a reflash jig to you to flash the boards yourself.

Here is a thread regarding the reflashing that has some pictures of what the jig looks like on pages 3 and 4.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/a4-drop-card-issues-jig-reflash-thread-1718024

Unit you perform or receive this update for your miners, they will not run 2.x software

This confirms what I was hoping to hear, thank you.

The fact that you see any number of Get Failures other than Zero on an active miner tells me its no longer rebooting like it was.

...I just now realized it shows Get Failures = 2 in your screen cap lol.

Why not run it at 1248MHz?

No intention to OC this guy just yet....  Cheesy

I have mine running at 1200MHZ, what kind of temp you getting? My boards are anywhere from 48C to 62C on the hottest board

A4s at NH

stratum+tcp://scrypt.usa.nicehash.com:3333
With v2.0.3, 6 x A4, d=65536
Current rate (at time of post) = 0.0750 BTC/per day or
.. USD$81.20 per day using 1 BTC exchange of USD$1081.99

At $81.20 for your hash rate you're making about 5.2 Cents per MH from my calculations. Have you tried prohash and seen any better results?

Yep have same question. Any improvment other than Nicehash?

Yes, version 2.0.3 is only patch for nicehash.

I haven't had a chance to get my remote site yet to change out the SD Card.

Does 2.0.3 address any other issues? I was really hoping that it would help the reboot loop issues from Get Failures.
