If you don't mind could either of you also inform us when the issue gets resolved because i am assuming it didn't get resolved. I don't have currently any money in CEX.io but i have an account in there and depending on the time this gets resolved affects if i want to use their service in the future.
Both of them (CEX representative and OP) has been offline for a few days now, I think you will need to wait for a while until this gets resolved (if it ever will). Why don't you move to other services in the first place? I don't think there is a need to stick with CEX.IO since you have no money there.

If you want to trade your BTC for altcoin there are tons of options out there. If I remember correctly some members mention Kucoin if no KYC is what you're looking for. It still works but don't expect it to last forever. If fiat is what you're looking for you can also use dex. Just a little bit complicated but should give you better control over your money.

If you already send all the proof to them it should not wait that long and I dont now if there is people that using Cex.io, If I were you I will definitely ask again to them email or the best way is creating a thread on their social media like twitter.

Since you're likely capable of it, look for some lawyers that deal with digital solutions and cases in your country. They are likely to help you file some cases or make a demand to cex.io to expedite the process that your funds are dealing with.

Just like I have said before, you have to meet your lawyer about this and he will be the one that will tell you what to do. I think $26000 is huge enough for a reason to think to be in suit with the exchange.

Have you tried contacting their representative profile on this forum linked above, or posted on their announcement thread? Based on their trust feedback page, it seems contacting them can help your case. Some users have deposit/withdrawal problems and it was solved according to them. Depending on what is actually going on with your funds I wouldn't be too hopeful though, but it seems worth doing compared to hiring a lawyer directly which may not help you at all due to different jurisdictions, etc.

They are also quite active here, their last seen is just yesterday. So, there is definitely a chance that they will read and respond to your message.

it depends your country of residence, a law suit can be really expensive and during months if not years.
personally I would interact first with a lawyer and try to understand some legal basis about these funds.
maybe, it would be much more effective just a letter sent by him than a lawsuit etc etc (for sure I will take such action as last resort...)

If you are legit and did nothing wrong, threaten them with law suit.

If no or no good response from the exchange, consult your lawyer.

If you did nothing wrong, they just want to steal your coins. Not your key not your coin.

Have you tried posting on their subreddit about your issue? You can also contact one of their subreddit representative[1] and it seems that account is active solving ticket issues. You might want to follow up your concerns there.

Apparently, by doing a quick search, it seems that there are some people experiencing delayed withdrawal issues and unresponsive support till now.

Keep following up their support, and ask to escalate this situation.
Its too bad to experience this when you already comply with their requirements, and if they are still not responding maybe you can ask for a help legally to know your next step. This is a bad habit of a site to left their players hanging without updating you, your money is with them and they must release it if there’s no reason to hold it.

Unfortunately, centralized exchanges can choose to do whatever they want because you entrusted them with your funds. This is why we always keep telling users never to trust centralized exchanges. Only use them momentarily where there is nee and remove your funds off them for long term storage.

More than 2 months ago, CEX.io froze all my funds.
They asked me for ID verification, which was completed successfully.
Then they asked for showing the origin of the funds.
I have sent all I could.
At the end they said my case is under review by their complience team. And they will let me know if there is an update.
Ever since they said that, 2 months has passed and their complience team still has not made any decisions.
What kind of decisions can take that long?
