More than 2 months ago, CEX.io froze all my funds.
They asked me for ID verification, which was completed successfully.
Then they asked for showing the origin of the funds.
I have sent all I could.
At the end they said my case is under review by their complience team. And they will let me know if there is an update.
Ever since they said that, 2 months has passed and their complience team still has not made any decisions.
What kind of decisions can take that long?

Can someone suggest what should I do in this case? Thanks 😊

I am the US resident for 4 years. But my account was blocked and verification is annulled. In 2017, I lived in the Russian Federation and my account was opened there. But as I said for 4 years already live in the US and pay taxes. Explain to me, on the basis of what law, did you blocked my money and the possibility of withdrawal?

All my appeals to the reddit were removed.

Can someone help me please? Technical support does not respond.

I am long user of Cex, while my experience with Cex recently is horrible! My BTC withdrawal was submit on 3 Jul and since then Cex has held my fund without any transaction no.  For half month! The status is always "pending" and  the support channel guys are just playing with me that it is being settled by technical team! I doubt the transaction has even not yet broadcast to the chain!

It is really frustrating to chase every day and they are trying to give meaningless response! It is losing my confidence with Cex everyday!

Since the disabled Mastercard cashouts, the service quality going down. Hopefully exchange representative can explain what is going on. 
I can use alternative exchanges but my previous experience with Cex.io is very good so I prefer to wait for proper solutions by Cex.io team.

The situation with MasterCard withdrawals is caused by the processing rules change, which we couldn’t predict. The team is working with our payment processors to resolve this issue.

You can withdraw your funds using the available payment options as you wish or link your Visa card to the CEX.IO account and withdraw your funds to it straight away, as well as use the card that has already been linked to your account before.

As for your pending BTC withdrawal, we'd like to ask you to provide us with your UserID so that we could check the situation with the support team. There're no delays and BTC transactions are operational. Thus, your case should be particularly checked.

I wish it wouldn't take taking something like this public to get help.  I did hear from them today via email and they simply told me that they have reached out to their payment partner to get information on my wire but they haven't heard anything back.  This is affecting my life very negatively as this is a ton of money that I withdrew because I needed it to pay bills.  I have begged them to let me talk to someone on the phone about this but unfortunately they won't put me in contact with anybody that can help.

if I understood correctly it was a wire transfer. Did you try to contact your bank, maybe they hold this transfer and investigate the origin of the money. All amount higher than $10k even if this is the first time this type of transfer is always under the microscope, especially after the tightening of the AML law.
In the end, probably your money will be sent back and refunded to your CEX account. The bank will not want to take the risk and finish this transfer. Unfortunately, it will all take time.

I'm using CEX.io for 3-4 years. All technical diffuculties was resolved in timely manner.

It is a debatable statement. I wanted to withdraw my crypto, but without any success.
They instructed me that I will receive a confirmation email, but there is nothing in my email account, of course I checked a spam folder.
I wrote message to the support team 3 days ago, but nobody has reached out to me since that.



Actually, I was able to withdraw my BTC. The problem was because my email was being filtered as a spam.

I initiated a $14,808.15 wire withdrawal from cex.io one week ago on January 2nd.  I still have not received my funds.  I have sent an email to support almost every day asking where my funds are and nobody will give me an answer.  I called support and they told me only the finance team can help me, yet they would not allow me to speak with anyone from the finance team. 

Customer support via email only sends me generic pre written responses when the respond and sometimes they go days between communicating at all with me.

They told me that the funds have left their platform yet they refuse to provide with any form of reference number for the wire.  I am officially beyond panicked about where my funds are. 

If anybody has any ideas of how to help me get my money please let me know. I would be much appreciative.

This is quite alarming and will be on the same "panic mode" if I'm on the same boat as you. I've been doing business with them (buying BTC using credit card and then withdrawing it to my wallet immediately after I received the coins) for quite some time now and didn't have any problem regarding withdrawals though our methods are not the same. On that note, have you ever tried contacting them in Twitter? Why don't you post something on their Twitter handle and maybe, by publicly exposing their problems regarding your wire transfer, they'll look into your case on a serious manner.

I want to share my experience of XRP withdrawal I made yesterday 17 June 06:00 AM UTC at Cex.IO
My withdrawal is stuck at the exchange. 25 hours passed. Withdrawal is in “processing” status. Support representatives are reporting about some “technical issues” without providing any details.
They can’t give any ETA of the fix, they can’t process or cancel my request.
The only thing they can is to call for my patience.

More than 25 hours for Ripple to withdraw from the exchange with no luck...
I’m making a conclusion that Cex.IO XRP ledger have been hacked!

You might have right about your concerns, they have the worst service(as you confirm), they don't have to raise fees. If you don't like the service, just leave it, cauz seems that many others like it the way it is. If they control fees without any parameters, then "fees" is not a subject for community discussion.
Can't understand the move too, the service will lose rate if to continue with low quality service. I don't expect their service will better after increasing the fees. 

Maybe you're right.
I would like to hear this from someone out of CEX. Whether it is their business policy "If you don't like the service, just leave it".
if they are trying to reduce the number of customers, are in the right way.
