CryptoXChange has received a scammer tag, but this does not help very much.

I opened a separate thread for those who would like to pursue this further on, to see how many of us were scammed and gather some more proof on that:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/cryptoxchange-affected-user-list-142130

You don't need to post your names/personal info, we just need to see how many of us are into this mess.

Bill, coordinate with dadj, he's Australian and taken the most steps from what I've seen until now.

Yes, I will try the Police at some stage like dadj suggests. I am in NSW Australia.

I just got the latest ASIC Company Extract for Kenseycol Pty Ltd ACN 140 244 828.  The registered office from 28/12/2012 is 27 Kamdell Place, Orange NSW 2800.  Director is Colin Robert Armitt of 25 Olympic Drive, Orange NSW 2800.

An ASIC search also shows CRYPTO X CHANGE as a registered business name number BN98597140 with the Office of Fair Trading, New South Wales, from 29/09/2011.

I complained to NSW Fair Trading but they were unable to make contact with Kenseycol. They said the next step would be to take it to the Consumer, Trader & Tenancy Tribunal (www.cttt.nsw.gov.au). I have had no replies to any of my letters or emails.  I am trying to work out if it is worth taking the next step and getting a court order.

Weird, I can almost swear I saw a list in which Cryptoxchange was next to Mr Bitcoins and West Autos.
Anyways, question still remains, if anybody payed already the ASIC $8 fee  to get the last registered address, please share.

Yes, I know, the link lists ASIC data for Kenseycol. "Cryptoxchange" was on the list (december last time I checked) of "Business name(s)", it's not there anymore.

That name never was in the list.

Cryptoxchange is not listed as a business anymore.

They changed 21st of December 2012 registered address:
21/12/2012   028223887

Anybody have the documents for the new address ?

Cryptoxchange is only a trading name. The company behind the trading name is Kenseycol PTY Ltd.

well i have almost 3k there, i won't mind flying over to australia if there is a 80% chance of getting the $$ back?  go to the court or something? and treat it as a holiday too, is it any use of doing that?

I don't think it's worth it unless you plan on staying 6 - 12 months. The court process is excruciatingly slow.

I went to the police station today and the officer I spoke to last time was there. He said in order for them to take any action at all he needs proof that Bitcoins were actually sent to Crypto X Changes Bitcoin address.

I unfortunately used my GLBSE account as a wallet and sent the funds from there - stupidly not downloading an account history file between then and when GLBSE was closed. I have tried numerous times to get in contact with Nefario (James) via email but unfortunately have had no response.

So I call upon anyone affected by the Crypto X Change scam to post any deposit addresses that Crypto X Change used. If we can triangulate the addresses to an IP address some how - or better still a Mt Gox BTC address which is linked to Colin Robert Armitt's identity, then the police have a criminal case they can work on.

Please everyone post your deposit BTC addresses to help me identify where all these coins are moving!

so can i say its gone?

Please ring the Chatswood (+612 9414 8499) and Orange (+612 6363 6399) police stations to make a complaint. I will be doing the same tomorrow.

I've already filed a police report with Chatswood police station so if you talk with Aaron there he'll at least have some idea about what Bitcoin is.

I sent my letter of demand on Friday so next week Monday I will commence a small claim through the court. Will update with any news.

To the OP and everyone else who lost money in Crypto X Change:

Please call the NSW Police station in Chatswood their number is +612 9414 8499 and make a complaint about Crypto X Change and Kenseycol Pty Ltd.

I just filed a police report and they said they might or might not go any further. So please ring them up and let them know that this is important to you that this guy Ken is brought to justice. What he's done is a criminal matter under Section 184 of the Corporations Act.

It is a criminal offence for a Director to use his or her position dishonestly with the intention of directly or indirectly gaining an advantage for himself or herself or causing detriment to the Corporation (Section 184 of the Corporations Act).
