I do rarely hear about Snooker games mentioned, if anything in gambling sections. Personally, to me, Snooker is not really all that exciting of a game. Its basically billiards with more unnecessarily complicated rules that most people don't really find all too attractive, since bringing something too complicated into a game which should have a simple foundation does take away a lot of the interest in the game.

Having said that, I prefer to stay with Billiards or "pool".
It's probably because the Snooker game is less popular, so people out there know more about billiards than Snooker. I'm also more familiar with billiards than Snooker but I'm not very good at playing billiards and want to learn billiards one day.

But, after I did a quick search on Google, I found several tournaments for Snooker. You can visit this link:
http://www.snooker.org/res/index.asp?template=2

11-14 Feb 2022 will be held in England for the Women's World Championship. And the next tournament with the title Welsh Open Qualifiers will take place on 15-20 Feb 2022 in England.

I don't get why all you guys keep saying that there are not a lot of casinos that you can place snooker bets on. Almost all major popular crypto casinos offer matches on snooker (Stake, Roobet, ...). Snooker is indeed super popular in UK, but it is gaining rapid popularity also in China, as some young talents are emerging from there and they started winning ranking tournaments also.

Snooker popularity according to Snooker Database is England, Scotland, Wales and China. Almost all major titles are won by England players. I don't know how big or small betting industry of snooker game is. Snooker is really taken as a game, mostly people take it as leasure time to kill time.

Yes, I definitely agree with you.

That's why it's not really popular especially on sports betting industry. Pool is more popular than snooker in most countries because it's much simpler to play than snooker. Snooker is only popular on UK that's why it will never be on sports betting, since no one would bet on the game that they never knew about. I bet it will never become famous because pool is the one that majority knows how to play.

I am not really familiar with snooker, just like the majority here I was more aware of pool and billiards. And so I do not have any knowledge regrading it and payed attention to sites that’s offering it that much. But it is a good thing that Thunderpick has included it in their site, according to @Bttzed03. OP, you could check this out.

I used to watch Snooker broadcasted on television but never really played the game. At first, I thought rules were complicated probably because I only played pool like 9-ball and 8-ball format. There were even times when we played 9-ball using a snooker table and it was harder to shoot because the pockets were smaller.

By the way, anyone interested betting on snooker games using cryptocurrencies can check Thunderpick https://thunderpick.com/en/sports/snooker

I agree with you. And it is just a practical decision and common sense to include on those popular games or widely known to the public because players would only be interested to bet on games they are familiar with. Why don’t just try shifting your focus to pool, OP? It is close to snooker and it is what’s commonly available to the sites here.

That makes sense. Based on the amount of discussion here and the thread, I believe the majority of the members are passionate about well-known sports such as basketball, football, or Esports. Regarding the bets, I believe they rely heavily on their users to determine which games they are interested in; however, I do not have much information about that particular game because I am not placing a wager on it.. The e-sports scene is something I'm really into.
Punters are usually not very interested in these kind of sports because bookmakers take more juice on less popular sports and leagues. Then if you are not a very good specialist of the sport/division you won't be able to overcome the margin and to make profits. On the other hand, bookmakers odds are usually less accurate for these small sports/categories and you can more easily find value if you are a specialist of the area.

Yes, I definitely agree with you.

What you did is right mate, it is time for us to have a Snooker Game thread, in many countries this is a popular game and many had been playing and betting for this so why not bring this here?
Now i think You need to edit the thread and let us also discuss betting as well, and sharing of the incoming competitions.
specially sites that offers gaming for snookers and Odds .
I think sooner we can also conduct  p2p betting here lol.

This thread reminds me about great Muhammad Yousaf snooker player of my country. He won 1994 IBSF World Snooker Championship, 2006 IBSF World Masters Championship, and 1998 ACBS Asian Snooker Championship. Source
Snooker was once a popular game in our region but there is hardly any international recognised snooker player in my country now. Through this thread it will help all of us to get some insight of what's going on in snooker World.

I agree, I was also wondering how the review sites will be able to provide information about the players who will be playing, their performances, everything about the player and how people who place bets will be able to load this information and put it into practice to place bets and How do people have so much time to spend watching the pool game? These are things I can't do in the case of snooker

Yeah that is it most time i have been wondering as well, it is a game of patient and is slow in all their activities requiring much of time and focus to be able to  hit up the pool and most at time the bettor who chooses any of play will as well be on a tension.

i was just cared and concerned about which led me to create the post here so we could share.

I have hardly seen people discussed about Snooker unlike other games, mostly discussion about Football, Table tennis, poker much others.

my passion for Snooker all started when i was very little then, i follows my uncle to some joint where they plays over it but since i was very tender i never knew it was all for gambling. Anytime i sets eyes on snooker it keeps the memory awakes so gradually i picked interest about it. i can be liken to gamble over it.

please more discussion about snooker can be detailed here if you have any. i really want to gain more knowledge.

The memories never fade. I recall using my feeding money to bet because I wanted to hang out with the big boys. Snooker is a great way to spend time with friends and family. You can install a table in your home and play whenever they come over.
Snooker has not captured the attention of people as other sports have over the years, despite the prize of 500,000 Euro, which is a large sum to attract attention from all over the world.
I searched for the breakdown, and this is what I discovered for the Snooker Championship prize.

Damn I missed this game , thanks for opening this thread mate as I have been looking about this for long yet none starts to bring this up.

Snooker is one of the most popular game when i was in europe. I missed playing this.
You could have opened your own thread before if you think there's no existing thread yet about snooker and you have not waited for years before this thread show up but may we know why you missed the game? Did you stop playing it? And for what reasons, are you busy lately or what? But, allocating some time to relax and play the game wont hurt much in your schedule.

There are snooker games that you can play in your phone or in your pc if you have. If your feeling lucky, there's also gambling sites that offers snooker betting. You do not need to torture your self for missing this game because you can always relieved your childhood memories or your past memories.

The probability that there are professionals in snooker here is quite small, I think if you are interested in knowing about this sport, it would be better to join specialized communities (I think there are corresponding groups in any popular social networks). When discussing snooker in terms of betting, this is the right place, but I have not seen that betting on this sport is popular with bettors and bookmakers and that they offer a wide selection on such sporting events.

This was my first time hearing about this sport, so I did a quick internet search and assumed it was a water game or that it was played on water or ice, but I was mistaken; it is a ball game that is similar to billiards, though I am not familiar with the specific rules of that game. In addition, I agree that there are only a few people on this forum who are familiar with these games; however, I believe that this will pique their interest, and they will watch the games and attempt to place bets as a result of their curiosity.

May be. But it seems to me that most of the forum participants discuss sports here from the point of view of betting. Unfortunately, even very popular sports have little attention from crypto bookmakers and the chance to find a place to bet on them is small. For example, I led a topic dedicated to the match for the world chess title and despite the fact that this is a very popular sport, only some bookmakers accepted bets on this event and the choice of bets was very small.

Some markets (e.g. putting the first ball or which colour will be potted first) is pure gambling. No matter how good a player is, it can always be the opponent who pots the first ball. The amount of centuries in a match is somewhat easier. They are some players with impressive statistics so that is easier to research.

Yes, snooker is a great game!

There are no passing moves in this game.  Every move a player makes is incredibly important.  Playing snooker is like a cowboy duel in the Wild West.

It requires incredible dexterity and caution.  Some experts compare the game of snooker to a theatrical performance.  This is a very entertaining game.  It has intrigue.  Spectators cannot take their eyes off the movement of multi-colored balls.  Although in fact it is just a billiard with multi-colored balls.

At first glance, the game seems simple.  However, it is not.

someone here makes Snooker bets: I particularly like Snooker but I don't see myself taking money and betting on Snooker because honestly it is very difficult for me to analyze who can win the Snooker game, what would be the factors that would dictate the advantage and disadvantage between two Snooker opponents:

Can anyone here predict the outcome of a snooker match?

I think it would really be a tough time to find out who are the snooker experts here in the forum because this game isn't really widely known compared to its counterparts that are famous such as billiards and pool. There were limited tournaments about it I believe, hence, the reason why a small population is curious and gives attention to it. I agree that you would really feel a doubt whenever you bet because the snooker game seems to be hard to predict and in a snap, tables turning could possibly happen so if someone really is very particular with money, he should think twice before betting.

But this seems to be worth looking out for too despite its unpopularity. This is another level of challenge for those who want to experience the thrill on the table.

Maybe it is the first time to hear about the game, although the game is almost similar to the billiards method, it is different. So maybe that is normal if only a few gambling sites have Snooker games as not many people will play the game because people are familiar with billiards. If that is billiards, I only know that a player needs to shoot from number 1 to 9 and then black ball, but I do not know the rules because my friend taught me to shoot but I missed the balls and the stick ripping the green carpet hahaha.
My first time too but it has the similarities between pool and billiards but different rules. But it's a good thing that even if the game wasn't that popular to most countries there are still who keeps it and makes a bet on it. Billiard is known worldwide and I just known it this time around too because of this thread.
I guess there are countries that isn't familiar with such specific sport/game. Me too, It's my first time hearing the kind of game, but I'm pretty sure I've seen it somewhere on the sports channel, and yeah it's pretty similar with billiard.
Now, I'm wondering how popular the game is in a specific country, but I'm quite sure billiard is more familiar than snooker and this kind of sport only has a small audience.
Is there a line for betting for snooker game in cryptocurrency?
It hasn't been introduced on me as well, way back high school pool was only we do hang out most especially after class or if by chance we may cut a class. I think the audience is far too wide when comparing billiard to snooker, billiard has come close to be an Olympic sports but I never heard snooker to be close. Probably the wider audience/unpopularity was due to a different of rules (maybe), snooker was a lengthy one as I searched for it, it's difficult too.

I found this masterpiece of an article featuring the greatest snooker player: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2015/03/30/follow-the-white-ball, it's a good read. Check it.
