I have seen Ethereum Classic Vision - a hard fork of ETH, any one holds ETH in personal wallet they will get 3 ETCV for each ETH. Hard fork will happen on Jan 11, 2019. I don't advice financial so let's do your own search to decide. For me now, the ETH's price isn't too high to buy.
It really is. I carry a signature right now about this. On January 11, Ethereum Classic Vision (ETCV) will separate from Ethereum, which will have relatively better performance than Ethereum, including at this stage the scalability of 25,000 transactions per second.
The team decided to populate this emerging coin and is holding a short action of something like ICO.

Ugh. A lot of ideas here with different answers. Some say a new coin will be made and some say it will only be an upgrade, so no coin will be made. I have also read in some thread that it will be on December 28 (which has now passed). Whatever it is, I'll just secure my ETH.
December 28 was to form a bithereum coin as a result of the merger of Bitcoin and ethereum. While I do not see news about it.
On January 11, as a result of another hard plug from ethereum, another coin may be formed - Ethereum Classic Vision (ETCV).
In mid-January, there will be improvements in ethereum called Constantinople. With improvements, the new coin does not appear.
I assume these three upgrades are lead by three different groups of people, right? 'Cause if they are the same group, what's the use of all these updates?
By the way, thanks for clarifying, I almost mix up things. What I am happy about is that Ethereum, which is one of my loved coins, is now having these improvements which, of course, is for the betterment of its users.

I think it is a good time to buy ETH. You can also try writing articles and such for bounty, or using signature bounty.

Actually, you can buy ethereum as long as you can and hold until the time eth recovered from drastic falls with bicoin.
Majority of crypto people now is taking a vacation while the market is not yet in the good condition. The impact can be fill in the present. One day people will loved ethereum again.

but the problem is that every day that passes a ton of new ether is mined by the miners and is injected in the market increasing the circulating supply of it and since it has no cap to slow it down or stop it at some point (unlike most coins including bitcoin) that means the increasing supply will slowly but surely push its price down in the long term.
something like what is happening to Doge coin. it used to be worth more than 500 satoshi and now it is headed for 10 and less.

that's a very difficult question to answer but if the hard-fork is real, we should buy it from now on to get a new token. BCH had a great hard-fork and it retained its value and BSV. Investing in ETH will now be quite amazing.

no you're not late, if you want that hardfork coin then buy ethereum now because in 2019 we won't see prices like this anymore, because ethereum will upgrade their system and at that time ethereum prices will be more expensive than now.
Why did you decide that after the update the ethereum will not fall again below the current price? This update will not change the bear market.

I see a lot of interesting events concerning Ethereum are brewing. I am particularly interested in the Ethereum Classic Vision (ETCV) coin. Its scalability is projected at 25,000 transactions per second. This is pretty good. However, what other parameters she will have is not yet clear.
At the same time, there can be improvements in ethereum that can give it a throughput rate of up to hundreds of thousands of transactions per second. That would be great at all.

7080000 is the number of the block on which the update will occur. the update will be approximately January 16-19, 2019.
Thank you for answering, hope you will be getting a fine day today. However, it is an update or it is an upgrade?

Last time, during the test run of Constantinople, the developers had some problems, so I would not be in a hurry to buy Ethereum before the fork hoping for a profit.

Expect the fork before January end in 2019. It is around the corner. I think the momentum is on now as you can see the price of ETH in recent time.

in this update, ETH holders will not receive any additional coins. so buying for some kind of free distribution it is very bad idea
You're wrong. I now carry the signature of the Ethereum Classic Vision campaign, which is paid for with an ETCV coin, which will be created as a result of the upcoming stiff fork. On the official website of this campaign it is indicated that the coin will occur on January 11 at 20:00 GMT. All Ethereum holders, including those in MyEtherWallet wallets, will receive this coin at the rate of 1: 3 for free, that is, if you have one ethereum, you will receive three Ethereum Classic Vision (ETCV) coins.
He didn't wrong and you are too. He is talking about Constantinople hardfork for ETH, it's indeed will not create any new token, it's just update for ETH.

Note that it is not a hard fork, it is a blockchain upgrade. Which means that the whole thing changed for the blockchain.
There is no announcement from the Vitalik yet but someone said to me that the date of the upgrade was settled up on the middle of January 2019.

a few months ago the price of ethereum plunged deeply, I realized that too much nonsense here was mainly about ico and erc20 tokens. Communities don't need garbage tokens and they throw them away. this is bad trust and difficult to return. Hardfork is a good step to improve this situation, I hope eth will come back.
Ethereum will come back after the fork where it will be upgraded already. I see ethereum more stronger and effective for its users. More nonsense will still surface but the community will even become solid and stronger this time around. They just became disorganized because many of them are not true believers of ethereum like in times when it is experiencing some chaos because of erc-20 tokens using it.

since this is a hard fork and will most probably end up splitting ETH into two chains then we can assume there can be a pump although there has been some small signs in it but it hasn't been that much to be enough for me to make a commitment to this pump.
what i did so far was to only take advantage of the small pumps that last a very short time because of lack of interest and only make the quick profit on my bitcoins that i put in ETH and pull out right after the mini pump was over.
