Ugh. A lot of ideas here with different answers. Some say a new coin will be made and some say it will only be an upgrade, so no coin will be made. I have also read in some thread that it will be on December 28 (which has now passed). Whatever it is, I'll just secure my ETH.
ETh will got hardfork and hope could make eth price will growing up later, last moment when some altcoin want to hardfork always have higher price, but we will wait for eth coul be on higher price or not.
I'm sure there will be a pretty good increase when before the hard fork moment, but on the contrary the price will drop after the hard fork is finished
hardfork will be the beginning of a pretty good for the ethereum. at least if this happens most certainly can not increase the price of the existing crypto. most hardfork could not help as before but maybe it could be after that some crypto prices will fall. But if for this purpose is hardfork ethereum improvement or development will certainly provide a good impact.

As I know you don't get any tokens. It's just an update of network. But I heard that one project will give some shitcoin. In my opinion, don't think about it, just try to sell on pic before hardfork.

So, you want to buy ETH now to get the "fork" coin? If yes, I don't think the next fork will create new coin like what btc does, or at least that what i read. There is no block number about when it will happen, only date which is on 16 January 2019. From that, i don't think there will be fork coin.
Even if there will be new tokens or coin when for happen, i think you probably will receive it directly to your wallet or there will be news about it.

No, the fork will effectively create a new coin. Date of a fork is always derived from a block number and estimated block velocity, Constantinople is about to happen at block 7,080,000.

in this update, ETH holders will not receive any additional coins. so buying for some kind of free distribution it is very bad idea

Even though the Constantinople upgrades may be good for the platform in general, I don't think that the market will necessarily react in the way some people predict in this thread. It may take some time until end users can realize what happened, and how this can affect the future of Ethereum. So, I wouldn't expect a significant rise in price, apart from that which can be associated with Bitcoin's price rising.
As far as I know, this is not a split hard fork, there will be no extra coin created, this hard fork is an upgrade hard fork so I don't really think you should be worry about how to get the new coin. This is not the first time I see someone asking this question and as some here replied that there will be a new coin on the other place too some replied that there will be a new coin, did I missed something? because I am pretty sure that there will be no new coin, this just an upgrade.

It is not set yet. And I think it is not about block. It is about timing. And team still didn't publish when it will be forked. You can follow this forum or Ethereum community for fork news.

a few months ago the price of ethereum plunged deeply, I realized that too much nonsense here was mainly about ico and erc20 tokens. i think It's never too late, even when ethereum prices are expensive then you can still get a chance to profit from it because there are no limits to the price of coins, including ethereum.
especially when the price is still cheap as it is now, then your chances of making a profit from it are still very high
