I'm confused. I did not follow the instructions on how to upgrade the wallet as I got the wallet before the instructions were out. I simply backed the wallet up, and extracted the new one in the same folder as the old and replaced any file it wanted to. The new wallet starts fine, and syncs. I have around 100000 ac and the last transaction was 4/29. Shouldn't I see stake?

So your coins would be eligible to stake in 4/29+2 weeks.

But yeah you installed new wallet just fine..

CryptoSteam.com originally started as a list of AsiaCoin investors who lost money from the previous developer's heist. The list was made to show people that we weren't alone and that we supported the revival of AsiaCoin with the new devs.

Now, ever since AsiaCoin resurrected from the dead, CryptoSteam.com have transformed into an all-new AsiaCoin Community for the general public to talk about AC.

This community site was made to make it easier for us to get information about AsiaCoin instead of trying to wade through a single thread on here.

We are in dire need of moderators for their native languages. If you do not see a language/country in there, please PM me.

It was just launched recently so that is why you see almost zero activity in there. We encourage you to join us and start posting in the forums there and help grow the AsiaCoin Community.

Also, if you wrote an article about the resurrection of AsiaCoin, please PM me so I can add you to the recent articles on the site.

Any suggestions, questions or if you want me to register you without having to go through email registration process, PM me as well.

Cheers,
CryptoSteam

On Mintpal: We can't, as the development team, contact them once every hour to ask for progress when they've already told us that they're working on it. What all of us as individuals can do is to ask them on Twitter.

I'm personally in no rush to get on Mintpal or Cryptsy ASAP. We are on every other exchange and we have a healthy volume at a stable price and I wouldn't mind if we kept it like this for even a few days. I understand that the situation might not be ideal especially if you have coins at Cryptsy, but again, what you can do is ask them on Twitter, they will follow where volume leads.

If I download the new wallet, will my coins that have been deposited from the exchange (on the 1st) still stake on the 14th(ish)?

Thanks.

Yes they will stake 2 weeks after their last transaction regardless of wallet version.

Our market cap is nearly at $690,000 (~1529 BTC). We are indeed in the top 30 coins now. The journey to top 20 begins now.

It's just a technical issue on their side, it will be back up.

Can you also look into adding coin control to the wallet? It's odd that a staking coin doesn't come with that when other PoW coins out there support it.

Yes. That's in our plans. Stay tuned.

Yeah that's the way PoS works.. it's a little annoying , client support isn't great for telling you when CoinAge are at... likely i'll work on that next as a non-breaking / non-mandatory client side feature.. just because it's annoying.

But hey .. nice to see AC price stabilizing and exchange volume picking up.  A lot better than like not having any value..

Also, it's great that the coin has been handled over to a group of really capable people.. honestly the original dev was MIA for most of the time.. I have no idea how this coin became so successful in the first place with an MIA dev.  The time it took to come together and fix this and launch a new website get organized.. really amazing stuff.  I really believe in this new group!

We're even using Slack to coordinate.. talk about being tech chic Smiley

how long my AC in QT must be untouchable to receive the stake?

The last transaction date on your coins must be more than 2 weeks ago.

I was not expeting that.... I tested sending of coins was working... I noticed half of my coins was staking but now stake became
Now I must wait for staking two weeks.

Learned something new again Undecided
No problem.

Keep up the good work, you all!

Could you point me toward a precompiled Asiacoin wallet? I could not compile it on Arch with the following command
Code:
cd ~ && git clone https://github.com/micryon/AsiaCoinFix && cd AsiaCoinFix/ && qmake-qt5 asiacoin-qt.pro && make
(please, don't post "you must use apt-get"; this is Arch Linux, not Ubuntu)

Thank you.

Hey guys there's problems with the .pro file for linux QT build.  This is because i decided to check in dependencies for a out of the box windows build.. so out of the box it actually won't build QT (though daemon builds) on linux.

Basically have to remove the changes in the .pro file from this commit: https://github.com/micryon/AsiaCoinFix/commit/cfe890d0be266470aec6bf52bc59e0a6c0e878f3

I'll fix it all up later, but i have to get my own QT linux dependencies to work.. sorry about that.

Kaspa
now if we can get Vault of Satoshi on board Wink

I heard they won't deal in USD. While that may work fine for some, it won't work for me.

Ya that has something to do on the us gov end of thing's I think... too much red tape for them to bother until us fix's their regulations. VoS is by far the most professional and legit exchange I've used.

us citizens can still trade crypto's on it just not into us fiat as far as I know. As Canadian tho I couldn't ask for a better site.

At this time we only have pre-compiled Windows version but we have people working on mac and linux. In the meantime, can you see what the error is, maybe just some paths in the makefile or asiacoin-qt.pro ?
