When GIT is updated with the hard coded nodes and the patch posted earlier and s4w3d0ff gives me the OK, I will go ahead and compile the latest version.

Are you going to test it before you release it? I know there's a rush to get out a good wallet, but at this point, if you release something broken, things could get brutal.

Will cga.poolnetwork.org be coming back up??? I still have coins with them that I have not been able to receive.

My cgminer just said "anomalypool.com:2124 not responding, Waiting for work to be available from pools."

Yes, we are currently updating the wallets. This is normal.

If you're going to shut down a pool, you should announce it before you do. I fell back to another pool and, well... I'm not sure what. True, I should have disabled the other pools, but this is the internet so it's my obligation to bitch about it. This is a habit the entire alt community needs to break: Something goes down, and people have to show up in a forum and complain about it, and then someone says: "Yeah, we took it offline for maintenance."

On the bright side, I found 135 blocks.  Tongue

We'll only let anomalypool's chain live, all other nodes' blockchain will be erased (after backup) to make sure only one chain exists.

So you are fine mining on anomalypool.com.

please add this also to your anomalypool.com advertise..

and who mined solo or somewhere else..
you got ***** but we still want you to smile ..
happy mining...

I might be willing to donate to a fund to help out people who solomined on a forked wallet once we get everything sorted out. Just stick around.

some quick update: we think that 50.147.39.37 is on the right chain.

Well, I know this isn't exactly breaking news, but at least one of those aren't. I was connected to those hardcoded nodes just long enough to get the info and copy/paste it into a notepad window (max, could've taken 60 seconds), before I went back to only connecting to one of anomalypool's nodes and found that my wallet had forked in that short time. If it only took 1 minute to fork my wallet, I can't help but think that must mean that the majority of peers I was connected to were forked as well.

Devs, you got your work cut out for you. Good luck, and here's a tip I learned from a programming class I took a while back, when I had to finish 2 weeks of work for my final that was due in 2 days, and still got a 100/100 on it: 1. Drink a 5 Hour Energy, 2. wait an hour, 3. either drink a coffee or an energy drink (note: adjust this to your caffeine tolerance. If you don't drink caffeine, ignore this altogether.). Repeat step 3 on hour 2, 3.5, and 5, then repeat the entire process on hour 5. The 5 hour energy will keep you from crashing, while the caffeinated beverages will allow you to write code much faster than what is usually considered humanly possible.

For the rest of us who aren't fluent in c++, let's all pray to our respective god(s) that this next version will finally defeat this forking problem.

There will be 5 nodes hardcoded.

make a ping to node1.cga.anomalypool.com and then make a ping to anomalypool.com, these are 2 different IP addresses, in fact they are 2 different physical machines.

node1.cga.anomalypool.com will be hardcoded, NOT anomalypool.com

So should I continue to mine at anomalypool.com , or wait for that node to be setup?  I have been mining fine there, all day, and I've been receiving frequent payments. It seems to be correct.

seems fine to me too.

I keep forking! and loosing crap loads of coins / time / and power cost.

Can you kill the nodes that are on the wrong version please.

We'll do exactly that. The new version will not connect to old versions and fix the block chain of your client. Where did you mined?

There will be 5 nodes hardcoded.

well, i know my english is not perfect but i think i am understandable.

you're saying 5 nodes will be hardcoded.

i'm saying that chains on that 5 node will be different... they are different now.
that 5 node will continue to fork each other.

i think :
you need to leave only 1 hardcoded node in wallet.
delete chains on other nodes
re download chain to remaining 4 node from hardcoded one

We will do exactly that, but we will also have 5 nodes in the code.

They are not all different, I just switched around and I'm getting paid from anomaly and 0x0a. Other one is probably fine, didn't test.

Have I lost all my CGA?!??! =(

also i think right behaviour is deleting chain at all nodes only leave s4w3d0ff 's
nodes need to re download chain from s4w3d0ff.
or this broken chain issue will continue.
also wallet must contain only  s4w3d0ff 's node hardcoded.
so things will get fixed..

This is essentially what the new client will do. Everyone's local copy of the blockchain will be wiped, and the client will redownload from known good nodes. Additionally, the new client will reject any connection to the current or previous client to prevent the evil fork monster from spreading to the new client. This is an extreme measure, and it will require EVERYONE to update to continue using CGA.

problem is 'there aren't known good nodes'
anomalypools nodes chain is different than s4w3d0ff 's.
It's forking, your node is forking too.
My suggestion is getting s4w3d0ff 's node 'good', every other is bad atm.

EDIT : I know anomalypools chain is different because of my 2 coins..

anomalypool's chain is the only one with hashpower, sawedoff's node didn't have any. And is down. So his chain is broken anyway.

We can't build a coin on a node which is down.

@awesomeperson451: We have a list of all "old" nodes, checking your finding against it now, thanks!

problem is: your pool has 0 latency to your node.
all blocks found by pools-people other than your pool are not accepted by your node i think.
