I was looking into this yesterday, it is for Bitcoin, but this is the best I managed to find:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/building-headless-bitcoin-and-bitcoin-qt-on-windows-149479

Tried it, didn't work.

What's the latest ETA on the update?

Thanks.  Missed that post.

EDIT: And the updated OP too!  Sheesh.  That's what I get for posting from my phone in bed after just waking up. Wink

Bounties:
1) 100 CGA for a working tutorial how to build a windows wallet.
2) 20 CGA for the compiled and updated windows wallet till Feb 8th 20:00 GMT. Only available if bounty 1 had no success.
3) 10 CGA for the compiled and updated windows wallet till Feb 10th 20:00 GMT. Only available if neither bounty 1 nor 2 had any success.
Wow, this is fantastic. Thank you for putting up these bounties, wzttide! s4wd0ff, please add this to the main post! Smiley
I may have to reduce the bounties dramatically once CGA hits an exchange Wink
Definitely. You may want to amend your bounty to exclude people copy-pasting a generic windows compilation tutorial link here. It should be a working tutorial for building Cryptographicanomaly-qt and cryptographicanomalyd for Windows, with the working binaries. Otherwise, I or anyone else could get 100CGA for a few minutes on Google.

Well, I did a lot of google search but nothing working popped up, sooo: Done, thanks Wink

There is also a very nice, simple and clear website about p2pool mining: http://whatisp2pool.com/

Maybe you can put this also in the opening post, so people understand the benefits of p2pool, sawedoff?

What's the latest ETA on the update?

See https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4984437

Update rollout is today, 7th Feb., 20:00 GMT.

Would be good to get a recap somewhere of what is happening and when, and what people need to do.  I'm happy to have a go at writing it up, but need some more data.

As I understand it the plan is the update will be rolled out at 2000 hrs GMT tonight, Feb 7.

Pool and mining impact:

Pool owners will need to update their pool wallets with the new wallet.

Questions:
Will the pool go downwhile is happens?
Will miners need to re-start their miners or will they continue as normal?

Individual users:
Individual wallets will need to be updated to the new client.

Questions:
1. Where are the new wallets going to be available from (for each OS)
2. I assume it is the usual grade process - backup wallet.dat and cryptographic anomaly.conf; delete the other files; download and start the new wallet?
3. Any changes to nodes?

All users will need to update their clients as soon as possible to avoid being on the wrong side of the blockchain when the new block reward kicks in at 15,000 blocks.
Pools will temporarily go down while the pool operator installs the new software, but it shouldn't be long.
Miners should be able to keep their miners (cgminer, pooler's cpuminer, etc) running, but there could be hiccups.

s4wd0ff will be hosting the wallets on the new CGAnomaly website as I understand it. We still need someone to compile a Windows wallet for us! I will give a 1CGA reward to whoever can do this for us consistently every update or teach someone else.

The upgrade process is like any other. Backup files, install new software, restart the software, you should be done.

Our pool is run on EC2 Servers with auto-scaling configurations. The pool can handle unlimited amount of hashing power. Not like other pools, when the hashing power increase, the servers will run into trouble and stop responding. Miners will lose a lot of money.

Still: What's your fee?

i been mining at anomalypool for the past 20 hours been getting payout every 2 to 5 minutes   Smiley

That pool has been awesome for me too.

Agreed, really, really excellent, big thumbs up to wzttide.  I think he (she?) should re-instate fees.  I mean its jolly nice not paying anything but I'd like him to be getting rewarded for his work.

One slight oddity though my payout rate has suddenly dropped right off - only three payouts in the last 30 minutes.
Thank you for your kind words, I won't charge any fees at least till we max out the servers Wink

@nbphuoc: What's your fee? And what's professional about it?
