it comes down to w/gh not $/gh as Vince said and i Believe ken has something up his sleeve that will shock all when he lets the news outta it's cage and it walks around and slaps everyone in the face and says WAKE THE FRAK UP

The best w/gh out on the market is ~1W/GH/s, but i suspect that KnC or Bitfury might have 0.7-0.8W/GH/s in their farms. But what's out on the market isn't relevant at all. Bitmine.ch also advertised 0.3W/GH and they only got 0.9-1W/GH/s. What's important if ken can deliver or not. It seems that other companies with a better track than AM are having problems with such low consumption, but somehow you think that in 1-2 months you will have your 0.3W/GH hashing.

gjp - forgive me if I don't get too excited by your prediction of great things. I'm not wanting to get anyone down here, but look at this quote and then think again if it's worth getting excited right now after 2 projects cancelled and a huge loss of coin on Gox. I will get excited when/if the situation actually changes - predictions, you can keep them. This quote is, yes you read it correctly, almost a year to the day old. A YEAR.

The critical number now is w/GH, not $/gh - but ActM should be buying GH for around $0.2-$1 (if not less)

0.77w/gh isn't impressive. Its ok, but nothing special.

Disregarding his own personal investments, his advice will be taken onboard by millions of home investors and serious institutions. The problem is not getting Buffet and his holdings behind BTC, it's that his advice will be listened to.

From what I have understood you can only trade mastercoins, not securities which you make from the mastercoins.

Perhaps you posted your response before catching up on the entire thread and realising that my 'delusional' opinions are in fact tamer than those shared with a number of fellow bitcoiners who paint an even rosier picture of what is to come for Bitcoin.

edit: minerpart, you should try to keep up with the news in Bitcoinland as the price will see $3000 and not $300, and that will happen before September. My guess is the next run up will start within the month.

Chinese and gox exchange weirdness stole all the momentum out of the last run. next run should be "freaking obvious" by June. Due to seeing how external factors can take the legs out of it though, I'm just gonna cautiously hope for 5K on that one, then we get a "crash" back down to 2.5K and we'll get a few months there, then maybe run on 5 figures at the end of the year, but that's not really "due" to peak until into Jan or Feb probably.

Anyway, it's showing a sort of a sociological phenom, how people get burned out, then enthusiasm gains momentum gains again, and it spreads literally like wildfire, one person talks with two etc, confidence builds, the fundamentals provide support and off we go.

EDIT: just scan reddit headlines every few days to the guage the building momentum. Its palpable!

The btc price will skyrocket once a few more political things pop and more bank runs, also watch for bignews from coinbase this next month. Ken and active mining will be fine. Just all need to breath and put on our sunglasses for the supernova over the next few months. Wink

How many shares do you think could have been sold at 0.007 of the 10,000,000 being traded back then?

I still say $10,000 by years end. Not prediction but projection. Big difference and easy to grasp if you follow Bitcoin closely.

EDIT: just scan reddit headlines every few days to the guage the building momentum. Its palpable!
